I work near Mumbra...Last month I got epilepsy attack in Mumbra.....people of Mumbra helped me took me to doctor...took care or my bike...and did all things unconditionally.... I love Mumbra

We also have a muslim dominated area near our locality. In past it's a sikh dominated area with a good population of Hindus. One muslim family came to that area , than they bring another family and the process get continue. Now the area is muslim dominated, hardly any sikh and hindu families live there now because the whole area is dirty now , water coming out of sewages , they do slaughtering in the area , very bad smell of meat. No body goes there And ultimately the area is now called " Mini Pakistan".

Once I asked my manager:- why this address is blacklisted then he told me that the most of these people don't pay their credit card bills and when some recovery agent goes there for recovery.... I have experienced Mumbra goons first-hand, and I was not amused with this documentary. What I believe happening to Mumbra is just way of law of Karma! I lost 3 mobiles travelling from between Kalwa and Thane, the police was totally hopeless whenever I complained! Rounding up of an entire colony justified since they supported an unethical ecosystem of theft and snatching! I cursed Mumbra that it will burn to ground when I was beaten up by Skull-cap goons, they tried to push me out in a running train and only I know how I survived that gang attack. I only pray that those who inflict violence on others meet their equal if not better!

See, I was born in Mumbra in 2000 and my parents were a resident of ismail building aside of Juma Masjid in Bombay, they and my dad's brother(along with his family) shifted to 100+ years old shalimar building of Mumbra in 1991, exactly one year before the riots. The fact is that the people who are living here from decades now, are not like the people who come in headlines of news with Mumbra's name on their heads. The people who have a criminal background, they keep on changing their homes continuously because police is in search of them, majority of them find Mumbra a safe place because you can see there's alot of slums near the hills, so they find those slums safe for them, and as you saw in the video, Mumbra was a GP area earlier, that was the reason for so much illegal construction, but coming to the topic, these nomadic criminals, wherever they go, they don't stop what they're doing, they keep fighting in local trains, snatching their things, etc., these people have settled majority of criminals like them here. So because of these criminals, people who live peacefully and normally here, gets judged and harrased outside Mumbra, we all know that there's no place in our country now where we can't find criminals, for e.g. we know goa because we know that there are beautiful beaches, we also know that how much illegal things happen there, but we neglect it because we only think about positive things, so that's the thing, people should change their mindsets now, let's address the good things also, i know that people will still hammer me for this but let me tell you, I know my city more than you, & i know you'll also be shocked after visiting Mumbra that what comes under criticism about my city is just 20-30% of my city, rest is a beautiful, secular & a cheerful city. **Mic drop**

Electricity issue was in all thane before some years... Also area of Mumbra Kalwa were highly power shaded than other parts. When residents of Kalwa complained they were told that bills from Kalwa Mumbra areas were not paid. On search, it found that Kalwa areas were paying bills but Mumbra had lot of backlog, then it was seperated. Later action taken by mseb on Mumbra area were trashed by goons, mseb people even fear to go in that areas to post bills.

Mumbra is an exemplary township which has seen a population boom and is also the landing place for many aspirants from the northern states, mostly muslims. There is a chunk of hindus in Mumbra and the two seem to co exist peacefully. Mumbra will only change if its people change and the influx of foreign (country) cultured folks make the job tougher. I think Mumbra needs a revolution. A team of smart people like Sharik Sayyed and Allah Shin here. Scroll in has an outstanding job in portraying the challenges faced by Mumbrakars. But Mumbra needs so much more.... Insha Allah we will see the change in out lifetimes.

Once i accidentally visited Mumbra. I asked some information from local guy about buses and trains, how to reach Bombay Central. But they guided me correctly. I didn't face any problems from the people.

I am Muslim who's lived in Mumbai and other Muslim as well as western cities but even for me the place was a bit overwhelming whenever i went there. This documentary does an excellent job bringing to fore the underbelly of the inherent struggles that has pushed them to be what they are known for. This is very similar to any form of ghetto that was carved out of a retreat from any form of discrimination.

Hi I lived in Mumbra for almost 2 years from 2015 till 2017 & to be honest I found it good place to live .Government should bring up more government recognized hospitals & schools .
