25 Years of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire! 

Thank you for including John Carpenter's win. Even though it was the US version, you just can't leave out one of the most badass moments in the history of television. Plus he was the first contestant on any version of the show to win the top prize.

It sounds ridiculous when you say that 25 years it’s just insane and I’m proud that the show has gone super far. I hope that they will be more series of millionaire, and hopefully more million pound winners along the road!

The way the audience go wild when Judith wins was absolutely brilliant, so musch respect for this woman.

Hooray for Millionaire from Italy, holding the Guiness World Record for the most episodes of the game presented by a single host in a nation who aires it: Gerry Scotti, hosting all 1706 episodes from May 22, 2000 to November 5, 2020 in 2 different eras: 2000 to 2011 non stop and 2018 to 2020 with 3 additional prime time seasons. Bravo Gerry, bravo to all hosts!

Can't believe that it's already been 25 years since that show completely changed TV quiz shows and world television itself (not even speaking about top-prize winners, whose right answers changed their lives). An amazing Gameshow - Nothing quite like WWTBAM The sets are just incredible. Wish they would bring back the bright moving large spotlights from the top one big wins!

Happy 25th anniversary to the best and most successful television quiz show ever. I still recall very well when Tantowi Yahya hosted our version here in Indonesia back in the 2000s.

The first time I saw any version of this show was when Regis Philbin still hosted it in New York. I think it was on this version that the first person ever won the top prize. In this case, taxman John Carpenter used his phone-a-friend just to let his father know he was going to win the million dollars.

Happy 25th to not only the greatest game show franchise in the world, but also the greatest *television* franchise in the world! Here's to 25 more years of final answers!

I wish you all the very best, mates. By last 5 years you making one of the best shows in the world. Jeremy, Stellify, Sony and ITV1 are professionals - how show looks now is just amazing! But i think it's time for make some new twists for it's 25th Anniversary - refresh set, replace some lifelines once for a while. But by all this, Millionaire is a best quiz in the whole world. Thank you very much.

This show is my absolute favorite! If it wasn't for Regis Philbin, I would never have watched this show. I have paid homeage to Regis by hosting my own version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire on We Thrive Together. ❤❤

While I live in Canada, I saw mainly the US version of this show with Regis Philbin when I first watched it. Canada did produce two episodes for CTV, but they were taped on the New York set. The host for it was journalist Pamela Wallin. I think the furthest anyone got from those was $64,000. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I heard that there were plans to construct a set in Toronto for more Canadian episodes, but to the drop in popularity in the US and the overexposure of it by ABC on their schedule, those plans were scrapped.

They have emphasised the coughs on that last clip, I do think he cheated, but it wasn’t that obvious.

remember this so well it was the day before 9-11 attacks . But i knew he was cheating he was ruling out the correct answer then going bk to it but at the time i never heard the coughs, but he kept ruling out the correct answer i knew there was something not right
