Great to see it on a road trip. I have a 2015 with 130k, do the research and do the maintenance and the car will last. Ive saved thousands of dollars in fuel over the last 9 years of ownership. Great video!
All car manufacturers aim for 300 miles per tank. This keeps the oil industry happy with more visits and extra purchases per visit. A car that goes 1000 miles will not allow for enough cold brew purchases w/fill up. Check any car, 300 miles is the range determined by gallons needed to do just 300.
I do a lot of road trips regularly, often 200-300 miles. I average about 75 miles a day. I tend to drink a lot, so always stop every 1, or 1 1/2 hours to go to the bathroom. If I drove electric, that would be the time to charge, when stopping to go to the bathroom. Overall, the whole electric concept seems pretty good for road trips. Nice and slow, no rush, get out and walk around every hour or so, then you don't get sore.
I drive a 2022 Camaro lt1 1ss and love it! I sat and watched your whole video...and it was great to be on the road with you guys! Congrats on a successful marriage! 👏 I would definitely drive that mitsubishi! It's really nice!
I took a roughly 240 mile round trip and used 12.25 gallons of gas on my 2006 Volvo S60 AWD (Well, the actual gallons used for the road trip is slightly less, since I drove a few extra miles on that tank of gas before refilling) I mostly drove turnpike speed at 70-80 mph but maybe 10% of the trip was light-moderate city traffic and getting a bit lost in a neighborhood. I heard speeding too fast decreases fuel economy, but not sure when that is. Our interstates/turnpike are not flat, they go up and down, up and down. Overall 25 MPG for my car. Not bad but I really wish I had a fuel efficient car like yours!
Keeping the speed at 70 alone will improve your gas mileage ALOT, and on the parts where speed drops to 60 or 65, drop it for sure and stay in the right lane 👍
love economy cars. also a Dancer here too. used to have a 09 Honda Fit. really good car. I didn't mind the lack of space Or speed. Only downside was the Cabin noise & firm ride. Hard to speak with your passenger and irritating for long distances. I wish there was a subcompact car that didn't sacrifice on Noise reduction materials. Bumpiness is normal because it's so small and light, but NO EXCUSE for the lack of sound deadening. Also, I don't feel like subcompacts are very safe in America cus cars so Much bigger. Kinda sucks that driving a practical, affordable car means sacrificing your safety compared to SUVs/Trucks and other large gas guzzlers
I drove my Outlander Sport with 180k miles on it from Worcester MA to Ohio this year, 1400+ mile round trip. Struggled a bit on those steep inclines on I-68 in Maryland but made it back safe. I’d get a Mirage to save more $$$ but those Worcester hills are hell in the winter without 4 wheel drive.
Kai, I think I want one! But, Im leaning towards the G4, in case my Daughters kids want to ride with me, when I visit them. A neighbor city Mitsubishi dealership has one for $ 19,001. That 37.5 inch rear leg room, got me thinking. Love the motor is so straightforward easy to find the key maintenance points! You are a good diplomatic presenter for All things Mirage ( and the wife, too)! Lol. Thanks for these vids. 9h, congratulations 13 years! I know 43-41 mph, two mpg less, but interior space is a trade off.
I swear those long car rides in little cars makes me feel like I need an 8 hour nap. 2013 Chevy Sonic is one of them little cars I had that experience in. Didn't feel that way at all in a 2017 Chevy Impala 3.6L V6 or 2013 Ford Taurus 2.0L i4-Ecoboost. The fuel economy is nice in the Mitsubishi Mirage though. I managed 30-32 MPG on the freeway in both the Impala and Taurus at 75 MPH. Not bad for full sized cars. In the city both got around 20-23. Oof
With a light foot, I can do that trip in my car with $13.37 in gas to drive 250 miles, at $2.97 per gallon. (What was shown in the video). The biggest difference is I cruise at 55-60 MPH (mostly 55), and use cruise control always. Doing so the car gets 55 MPG easily. I often find the car getting in the low 60 MPG's. Like 63.
thank you! She's Pakistani and I'm Vietnamese-American! I'll try to produce more Mirage videos but there's only so much I can do with a car! I am putting out all sorts of videos to share my experiences so if you wanna follow me and Aisha closely, stay tuned!
Hi I have 2015 mirage with 047345 mile i got it Orlando fl and drove to Hot springs village Arkansas i loved it on this trip made in 2days i look in youtube i look it up i was very mad stupid person putting mitt mirage down to me this car is the best car for your money 💰
I was thinking of a new Mirage for a 3rd car my daily is a 14 Challenger R/T Classic. At best I get 15 city and the gas in CALIFORNIA SoCal was almost 7 dollars a gallon last summer. Having to run midgrade sucks. How is the power getting on the freeways with the Mirage. I normally stay at about 80 on the freeways.
The car only sucks to people who give a sh what others think. I own two Spacestars / Mirages...+ an Alfa. Its a great little machine. Fun upload. Thanks.
Doug DeMuro released a video today titled 5 worst new cars you can buy and of course, he chose the 2024 Mirage to be in his list. It would be cool if you watch that video and make a reaction video. Lemme know if you do broski!
