These are very useful expressions that Koreans use a lot in daily conversations.
The pronunciation of this video is actual pronunciation applied Korean pronunciation rules.
It recorded at "almost" normal speed of native Korean.
If you think it's fast, watch it x0.75 speed until you get used to it.
I recommend you watch this video at normal speed, then you will speak Korean naturally like native Koreans.
If this video is difficult, learn "super easy expressions" first.

This is my favorite video because of how you break down sentence structure in English. So many times I've realized I remember certain words because they were used elsewhere in this same video. Here's the thing about learning Korean: MOST OF THE TIME I don't have a lot of time or mental energy to apply to learning Korean. But for the last few months I've had this video on in the background, and even if I'm tired, busy, or distracted I'm still becoming familiar with these words. I'm shocked by how many words I remember simply because I've heard it used in a different sentence in this video. Having every word translated has done wonders for my memory. It also greatly helps that the sentences are short and conversational. Instead of learning ONE WORD in a sentence I'm learning all of them, and I'm becoming more familiar with the sentence structure while I do it. It's helping me to isolate words I know when I hear other people speak Korean. Even if I can't remember what they mean, at least **I HEARD IT**...I heard those words I forgot. 😂 Right now, that's everything to me. Learning a new language is a process. I'm making so much more progress now though! Thank you!

I have to say that really good language learning sites for Korean are few and far between. Yours is one of the best, because it allows the learner to relate different units of the sentence (not necessarily word for word) between English and Korean, which is essential to grasp the underlying "logic" of the language. 고마워요.

@ytsangatsu
@ytsangatsu Год назад
@@simple-korean This particular video format (a more or less "literal" translation for each "chunk" in a sentence), lets you get a "feel" for the language. This "literal" translation allows you to grasp INSTANTLY (and that's the key) similarities (even if they are expressed differently) between meaningful units in both sentences, so does not require memorization. This could work with short stories, too. Please make more of the same.
@simple-korean
@simple-korean Год назад
@@ytsangatsu Koreans also feel the same difficulties when studying English. It's hard for us to speak naturally like native speakers just by literal translating. I'll try to make more helpful videos. Thanks again!!🥰

I have selected them based on teaching foreign students and considering a basic level of proficiency. I have put a lot of thought into creating this video, focusing on easily relatable situations and using simple expressions, so it will be helpful. If you can understand and use these expressions, it will be beneficial for your life in Korea.🥰

I suppose you quite don't understand why this video pop up. Most of the sentences are linked like it is in conversation but it is still sometimes random like in real life. And it is usually common sentences

Oh, you understood that these sentences are structured like a conversation in real situations. That's right.😍 The sentences in this video are arranged and appear connected in context to memorize easily. I actually spent long time thinking of the easiest and most commonly used sentences in real-life situations. These are actually phrases that Koreans use almost every day. I'm so happy that people like this video. Thank you so much for your comment.🥰

Hi, thanks for the video. Is it good enough for Topik 1?

Of course, these expressions are composed of words and grammar that belong to Topic 1. Since they are basic expressions, it should be sufficient to memorize them and continue with additional learning. I hope this is helpful. Thank you.🥰

선생님, I have some confused of no. 155.🤔 It looks like eat/drink and go. 네, 먹고 가요. ( can you please explain why using 가요 not 여기 😱😱?)
@simple-korean
@simple-korean Год назад
English "I drink here" is actually "여기에서(here) 마실 거예요(will drink)" It can be also used, but Koreans use much "(여기에서) 마시고 가요" This means "I will drink here and go later" not "I will go now (with coffee)" We use also like this, 드시고 가세요?; Will you drink here? 먹고 갈까? Shall we eat here? (not take out) 마시고 갈래? Do you want to drink here? 먹고 가자. Let's eat here. 먹고 가세요. Why don't you eat here? Eat here please.

Can anyone tell me why did it use 'our' when the sentence was come to *my* house ??
@simple-korean
@simple-korean Год назад
It's a really good question!!😄 This is one of the strangest things for foreigners learning Korean. This is related to the cultural background of Korea. Korea values 'a sense of community'. So, when we use 'we' instead of 'I'. our home(우리 집), our country(우리나라), our society(우리 사회), our village(우리 마을), our company(우리 회사), our family(우리 가족)... These words are examples.🥰
@simple-korean
@simple-korean Год назад
However, it is not often used for objects. For example, my bag(제 가방), my book(제 책), my watch(제 시계)... There are expressions that foreigners feel really, really shocked. Not everyone uses it this way, but many people use 'my husband->our husband(우리 남편)' and 'my wife->our wife(우리 아내)'. Koreans don't think it's strange but I always think it's really funny or weird if foreigners hear it.🤣
