@@notaydenflores5227 Sorry I don't have any friends so I've never learned how to spot anything, whether it be lifts or jokes :( Jokes aside though, with all these people seriously acting like the only way to escape a failed benchpress is to tip the weights, jokers aren't too easy to identify :)
His form is fine. His butt and upper shoulder are touching the bench. The only rep that didn't count was the last one because his butt came off the bench.
And you should arch your back as far as possible without your butt leaving the bench. If he packed his shoulders hard, he would probably lift even heavier (which is crazy).
@@revan552 yeah bruv, you're being a little harsh there. His butt lifted on a couple reps but the strength is still there. He def could use more arch in his back though for sure.
@@revan552 i didn't exactly disagree with you man. I was speaking more on your critical tone. But hey, I'm sure this level of aggression works for you. Seriously though, no need for all this. Only good vibes coming from this end.
I agree with that one. Don't use GOD's name in vain. Say something else. Trust me....for your benefit as well. I don't use it no more cause of what it meant to use that word.
You're really strong, if you descend more slowly you could lift more since when stopping suddenly gravity add more weight to the bar due to dessacceleration
Don’t put clips on if you have no spotter, extremely dangerous especially when you’re at uncomfortable weight like how much you got on, it can get ugly really quick
Hey bro you didn't get enough credit for this lift pound for pound your a strong man nd they don't make em like this on a daily good shit bro hope your still attacking it
As a 16 year old that weighs 165 pounds my max bench is 230 pounds. This is extremely impressive for your weight and also thank you for touching your chest and not doing baby reps. You got 275 pounds in you for sure.
Not frl. His ass is lifting off the bench if you look. Doing so raises the chest relative to the bar and shoulders, and shortens the range of motion over the already-short kinetic chain. The complete movement from lockout to touch-the-chest and back to lockout becomes easier in terms of foot-pounds of work, and in terms of the angle around both the shoulder and elbow. A lifter with long legs can bridge his ass off the bench to the extent of cutting several inches off the ROM. Also his feet should be flat, more surface area = better drive.
@@ben6250 STFU you have no idea what you're talking about. Nerd. He's lifting his butt off the bench on the the way up bc he's trying to get the bar back up to the rack. It's to compensate for that heavy ass weight. It ain't got shit to do with ROM.
@@mustachekitten3863 I increase weight every set all the way till 90% my max. So I start with 135 (20 reps) then 225 (12-15 reps) 275 (8-10 reps) 315 (3-4 reps) 330 (1-2 reps) then back down to 225 for a burnout, then same for incline and decline. Then cable crossover but more of the push motion and cross at the end, then heavy triceps workout
No hate to this guy at all! Strong obviously. But I just wanted to say I’m 160, my one rep max is 285, I’ll get it on video and post it! Not to mention, I am also a cross country/track runner lol. So weight lifting isn’t my #1 focus. I have strong chest genetics. Good genetics overall
I've benched both the way this man does and with my feet flat. I currently bench flat footed, but I will say there is no real difference, its a preference. The only reason I bench flat footed now is because of the federation I compete in. However for some keeping their heels off the ground and behind them is better for them to get leg drive especially those with bad mobility who can't get their feet behind them when having their feet flat on the floor. I just wanted to point this out because everyone clearly thinks there is only one true way to bench. For those saying he can get this and that, his max is realistically around 285 guaranteed and 290 for a possible rep.
My plateu used to be 315, jesus!!! I was stuck there for like 4 months. Try switching up your training routine and rep sets. Tear down your current program and build a new one that will challenge you
Seems like you are looking at too many guys on the internet that are on steroids. For a person that’s natural 165 pounds isn’t small at all. Also he clearly has a low body fat so a majority of his mass is muscle.
@@hiimronstuart1 no doubt bro.. add me on ig if you want.. im gonna try a fitness page soon.. you maybe can find some more motivation in it.. imjust regular guy that's on a journey from 150lbs to 200lbs @Dasun_king
