Retired Army Sergent Williams here. Basically your work as an advanced Help Desk Support Role. Civilian equivalent? I'm a network administrator network engineer in my civilian job. Enjoy what you do Sergent, you have quality transferable hard skills for civilian life. Make sure that you hone your soft skills too, WHATEVER you do, do not come to California looking for work. The cost of living and the hourly or salary wages being paid to people in our field of IT. Does NOT allow for a good quality of life. One Sergent to another. Also take time to write up your resume and pay to have it professionally gone over by two different agencies. One last bit of advice. While your still in the Army Get Your PMP Certification. This is a Projects Manager course. These jobs in IY pay extremely well, but the workloads and demands are very high in this field. You Will earn every dime you get paid.
Hi Ricky I’m Carol Jordan DREKA mom just wanted to let u know I really really appreciate all your help with my daughter thanks for your time I really do appreciate it they need more you tubers like u to help the you tubers who are starting out may God richly bless you!!!!!
Best video on the signal core I’ve found so far🤟🏻 I wanted to enlist as a 25B but it was not available. I am currently enlisted as 25U. Though I am excited, I hope to reclassify in the future. 25B seems more up my alley
I was a field radio operator in the Marine Corps 0621. I want my job to work with computers. Not saying I'm not going to work with radios cause I already have experience with them, but I don't want that to be my primary mos
@@dilyn7262 it’s awesome i had a blast at AIT and my duty station sucks but the people i work with are amazing signal corp is the best just stay motivated and be proud you’ll do really good.
@@malachimorgan1440 not really. Tbh I got a 41 on the asvab and still qualified for the 25b. You need an (st) score of: 95. I never studied for the asvab or ever took a practice test. I had the opportunity to take it right away as soon as I decided I wanted to join the army ng with the help of my recruiter. I didn’t take the test again cuz that’s what’s I wanted to get into and I got it so I was chillin
Absolutely loved this video!! Very informative! I’m a 42A and this made me want to look into computers. I definitely want to reclass! Love you MissDreeks 😘😘😘
So she works in SASMO. That is a good place to learn comms. and the different LIS systems. But a typical 25B usually sits behind a desk answer phones and submitting work tickets via a system called Remedy. Basic IT Helpdesk Support. Others sit inside the comsec vault issuing out crypto. the 25B MOS is basically not all that anymore if someone really wants to learn networks go 25N or Q they work more with swtiches and routing. If one wants to work in the security field go 25D they are the Cyber Analyst basically. The actual hackers are the 17C.
74B old skewls. Now called 25B, a single person running the entire NOC, TOC, or UAV king backbone. Spent my time in S3 at Icorps. (Civilian is called IT Operations Manager 80k-135k in the right area) Will find love in any Government network, including DOIM, State and DOD after the uniform. Best school IMO. Booming market in 2024 for 25B civilian growth is Colorado, Florida, Georgia.
I'm so excited two of my favorites RU-vidrs have come together to give us a video.👏💪 Hi Ricky, can we please get one for 42A also. I ship for basic as enlisted age 31 with a degree on 28th January.
@@TheOfficialRickyBowden I really do appreciate that. Since I have enlisting with a college degree and also 31 years old. I have been watching some of your videos over and over. I can relate to most of them.
I understand what you mean by "I'm a Bravo, I don't do that!" I was a 63B (Light Wheeled Mechanic) and my unit had Heavy Wheeled Vehicles, Tracks, Trailers, Generators, Lawn Mowers everything with an engine!! And no matter what 63 series you were, we had to work on ALL pieces of equipment. We had 63H (Track Mechanics) working on HMMWVs with us, and vice versa. So, you can't say "I'm a Bravo, I don't work on Generators" The next thing you will hear is, "OK Priv, get on your face and push down Fort Hood till I get tired!!"
Thanks so much for your video and info but I do have a few questions 1) Do prior service NCOs stay in barracks or hotel 🏨? E5/E6 2). Do they go to field a lot or does it depends on what type of unit you attached too or what? 3). How is AIT as a MOS -T in That MOS bc I knw it varies depending on what Mos you’re in 4). Do you like the MOS?
Hey there Sgt! It's me again. I'm thinking about either doing 25U or 25B. Not sure. I was a radio operator in the Marine Corps didn't really like it. I wanna be versitle instead of just being radio
I'm reclassing in the USAR. After several years of massive back injuries and physical therapy, this ACFT has me nervous. Is there an ACFT to pass the course? I know I need one to even get into the course, but I'm stressing about passing ACFT again to graduate. I did it this weekend and made, but could hardly move later in the day, one major reason for my reclass, that and I just graduated with a Bachelors in IT and cyber. I'm really asking because I want to stay in and not be med boarded. Thankyou in advance.
Ricky have you ever done any West Point grad to Medical School videos? What is the experience of working with young 2LTs graduating from West Point?? + & -?
Great video! Can you do a 35F?? I know this job is good for sure specially if you learn programming, that will easily get you 100k a year, but what about intelligence?? Is a government job attainable in the civilian world?
Hey MissDreeks I was wondering do 25b travel often or is it just the luck of the draw? Are you able to tell me which forts are currently in need in of 25b and what duty stations are common for 25b(a general idea of the 25b traveling experience thx missdreeks stay lit🔥 )
Lol it’s crazy to see this comment it’s my 19th week in AIT at FT Gordon in couple weeks I’ll head to Korea. It’s been a crazy journey filled with up and downs but no regret 25Bang Bang for life best mos, there’s only a handful of mos’s in the army that can look down on us from what the sergeants have been saying we’re the golden child of the signal Corp, shit you can tell just by looking at our barracks compared to the others we live in hotels they live in the projects😂
you not lying when about any of stuff you're saying I was in a signal unit I was a 92/a but I hung out with the 25 series people and learned alot from them especially the people who ran the vic /3s
@@keontelucy6191 did you guys get any info or what ended up happening? I am going from active to reserves at Fort Bragg in december and was curious as whats going to happen?
7:37 But your NCO's will expect you to know everything about everything, your E6, and especially your E7, who was a Ranger and a Drill Sergeant at Ft Benning, if you don't know everything about everything, you will be treated like an ate up piece of shit.
2:20 Like working the free internet cafe that we only got a half hour to use, and when it went down you blamed someone else, And Bowden, why are you standing next to a Pontiac? You know they think it's a Cadillac. LMFAO (You know I'm fucking with you? right?)
17C has 45 Weeks of AIT compared the the 17 Weeks 25B has. Sounds rough. Heard their attrition rate is staggering as well. If it's still something you're interested in, perhaps you can re-class down the line.
