I know what you mean. For some reason older movies had a special quality to them that made them feel more.... grand? Extravagant? I don't know the exact word or really what it was about them but I know what you mean

Did it seem to anyone else as though Paige O'Hara seemed to kinda dodge the question of what Belle meant to her personally? She kinda deflected.

Come on, she answered that question a thousand times already, to both press and fans. Check her solo interviews, she talks about Belle with so much love and passion.

Here, yes, maybe? But she's already responded to this enough times for a lifetime. I mean, this is easily one of her most iconic roles ever. She IS Belle in so many ways. If you love BatB look up every interview ever. It's all out there.
