If you really want I can glue an abrader to the back of the pad lol, you're doing really well thinning with the indirect, what size was the aluminum rod?

@@miketufts9765 I’m using a lot of steel these days. I think that one is 5/16 and I have 1/2. Working glass or obsidian I normally use aluminum 3/8 and 1/2.

​@@miketufts9765just make a separate wooden backed abraider. Get the abraider then glue it to the wood somehow. If that's even possible.
