Game like this, solo is always weaker than duo. They need to give power to solo, But not in this way. They should increase the amount of reward solo gets instead of just giving more revives.
@@Olothur not always, I have managed to keep my MMR were it was pre Grounded pact, you just gotta be wise in how you use necro. Once they see you get up, the cat is out of the bag.
@DIBs no it isnt lol majority of the time you get farmed; when it first came out and people werent used to it sure but now? its still the best event trait but definitely not OP
I can already see the reddit posts from people who missed the part where there are just as many games were you get farmed. "After RachtaZ's last video, how should they change solo self revive so it isn't OP?" "Everybody knows solo revive is crazy OP even RachtaZ says so"
not only that but if you have a fight and you realize its a solo i usually just burn the body and watch it until its burned out and farm them if they try to revive its just free kills
@@MildlyInterested_ Yeah bro let me burn the body that's underwater really quickly. Oh wait I don't waste a slot and hunt bucks on a liquid fire bomb every match so there's nothing I can do.
@@CyberneticArgumentCreator many things you can do... put a bear trap on it, concertina, poison...hell even get a lamp and blow it up before it touches the water and the fire will spread on the water because it's oil... either way if you have nothing equipped to deal with then deal with it, you can't be a jack of all trades, you'll always be unequipped for something in Hunt, that's the point and that's why there's so many different loadouts to try, in the end you gave a very specific situation, I can give many specific situations too to make other perks or weapons seem "OP"
As a Solo player who is pretty new and scared and doesn't trust their aim and skills, this trait made me a lot more confident. Sure, it's doesn't work all the time, but knowing there is a second chance as a solo feels very nice. It always bothered me that as a solo you have quite the disadvantage. Sure, on low mmr most people aren't coordinated, so duos are pretty much solos too. But I feel like the higher you get, the more unfair you end up.
Hi! I recently came back to play the game and I don't understand exactly how this skill works? A hunter of mine who had this skill just died, but he didn't give me the revive button. Or does this skill only proc with x% chance on death? ( I was alone )
@@MirmiX Hey there! Since I'm quite new as well, I only know a bit. What I know is that you need 4 Pledge Marks which you can collect by being the first Hunter to collect 35 event points in a match, banishing the first boss and looting the first dead Hunter. Let's say you get two marks, then you will carry them into the next match. If you have 4 you can go to a supply point and you will find 3 boxes, similar to urns. You can choose between them. If you chose the grounded pact, and you have the Necromancer trait while being solo, you can revive yourself after being shot. I don't know if that uses all pledge marks. I just know you can do it multiple times in a match, losing a health bar in the progress. Which you can buy again if extracting with the Hunter. Be aware that other Hunters see a spark tho, so they could camp your dead body. You will still hear your environment even when you are dead. I hope that helps a bit. I haven't played in like two weeks and only tried it out like twice. Have a good one👌
i am glad its a gimmic and not a perm change it just shows that the skill ruins the spirit of the game. Maybe if they made it disable self res if burned or something IMO it would be cool to keep that way you still get your cookies for trades but a prepared team does not need to camp you out.
I just came back to playing hunt without realizing that people could selfrevive themselves. I dropped this player, and relaxed by the banishing bounty for a good 3 minutes and next thing I know my teammate and I both get dropped by the same shotgun wielding player we had dropped. Pissed me right off. But I've learned to accept it now couple of hours back in the game.
I hope they keep some of the new traits, the game state feels way better now with pushes and the amount of people playing. Solo necro is fine as is, since having to fight one enemy 3-4 times is still infinitely easier than fighting 3 enemies at once.
And you can just stick a trap on their body if you're unsure. 100% want solo necro to stay, so many people play incredibly passively out of fear of losing their hunter.
problem is say, you are in a 2 vs 2 situation, downed one, the other is still out there. another guy creeps up to you. you shoot him, he still can necro -> its really nuts.
@@wendestein9092 You can't self necro on teams, only solo. Edit: I read that wrong, the other guy is a random solo, not the teammate of the first one. Situations like that would definitely screw someone over thinking they got everyone.
@@wendestein9092 Do you mean its a 2v2v1? Getting 3rd partied just happens and it isn't that different to before the self-rez. I'll happily pay the $60 trap tax if it means we don't return to stalemates at bounty compounds and have less spitzer snipers running around.
@@dibs4943 literally just put a trap down on who you think the solo is or burn him so he’s even weaker upon rez. If youre actually dying to a solo who self-rezzed as a duo or trio then its just a skill issue.
The fact it works with resilience and is just 10 secs to get back up is very broken. You have 5 lives with small health bars. Its a lame feature to the game. The team version at least puts a teammate in a compromised position and cost hp. Solo should take longer, have 1 use, or revive with limited hp.
Nah man some solo we killed twice, burned his Body and even waited a couple seconds 5 minutes later i get headshot by him because he sits in a bush with marksman
If you can frequently 1v3 as a solo in SBMM then something in out of balance. The entire point of solo play is that it is harder and gives better rewards due to the difficulty.
@@CyberneticArgumentCreator Necro just gives you a second chance. If you're entire team is getting wiped by 1 guy then you're simply getting outskilled or you're throwing
@@Zalahsar Lol are you delusional? No thats the point of playing Solo, your opponents are up to 2 star lower than you. The advantage of Solo already is that you are skill ahead of the other teams AND get a bigger bounty. Adding up to 4 Self revives is completly nuts.
The solo res is cool but it's probably a bit strong given how fast it is and the fact you can use it multiple times. It'd probably be fine if it only worked once per match or was very telegraphed like maybe after you press the revive button a visual effect comes off of your body and 2 seconds later you revive.
I don't have time to watch but I know this is going to be an example of why my team brings fire and concertina on every mission Had one round where we had to kill a solo 4 times, now we make sure they can't get up
i mostly play with a friend or 2 and i still think that there should be a perk to revive yourself, if you are solo. there are just to many trades and a solo is always in a disadvantage anyways.
so you think 3 man teams should have self revive?? please tell me i misread lmao cause i think self rev multiple times as a solo is fucked enough and you should get a max of 1-2 self revives, once on first blood and once on bounty pickup (im a solo myself and literally have no friends that play this game on pc so i think i can speak on it)
@@liamhop6148 i didnt say anything about a duo or trio being able to self revive. i said, i think self revives for solos should be in the game, even so im not a solo player, most of the time, myself.
Honestly, the way I see it, if you use solo necro, you're better off not using Necromancer at all! I've had tons of situations with people exploiting that trait on me. They knocked me down and literally camped near me, waiting for me to get back up (even burning my downed hunter with flare pistols to make me hurry up using necro!) so they can farm kills...this is nothing but ridiculous, extremely unfair and ruining the fun for me! Crytek needs to do something about it! 😡😡😡
You say farmed like thats a you problem but you are single handedly halting another team's ability to progress by camping your body. The amount of times I had to tell my team to go on without me because I needed to make sure fuck face stays down is ridiculous and an obvious developer oversight. Necro NEEDS a nerf.
Every time you die and get "downed," you lose a bar of health. If you have 3 of the large bars, that means 3 times you can revive, but with the small ones, I think it's up to 5. Keep in mind this self-revive is only possible if someone is playing solo. But the bottom line is that if you throw some traps on the body, poison/concertina wire etc., they wont be able to revive safely. And of course you can also just stand there and farm some kills. But it's kind of a difficult system because in theory they could wait 10 minutes before they revive if they really want to. But as a new player, let me just say this is not a normal game mechanic. Normally you need teammates to revive you, but with this special event Blood Moon they have added some interesting mechanics to switch things up. I highly doubt it will be implemented as a permanent feature unless they make some significant tweaks.
Can someone please help me how the necromancer works solo? Im new to the game, had necromancer several times but didnt have the option to res myself.. i dont understand how its supposed to work :((((
You need to pledge to the grounded faction at resupply stations. You need at least one pledge point to do this, which can be earned by looting a player, banishing a boss or getting 35 event points. When you have necro, are solo and are pledged to grounded, you can self-revive 👍
self revive made me start carrying corcatina (spelled it wrong lmao) bombs and mollies. I molly the solo body then throw the trip bomb on top so if they realize they are burning, when they get up, they just instantly die again.
I've never had more fun in Hunt than when I get a "second chance". Hunt doesn't have a "solo lobby". This ability isn't op at all if you look at the odds for perspective. I've been farmed for 100 health, only to pop back up, banish the boss, get my health back and bury the guys who killed me. The kills in Hunt are, for me, much more stratifying than any other FPS/Battle Royal game currently available. FYI....even if they burn you and ALL your health bars, you can still revive yourself. ONLY a concertina bomb (not trap) can keep you down without the resilience trait. Bear traps are a single use, poison dissipates, and the trap can be cleared from the first revive.
Necromancer is insanely good for hit-and-run attacks on bounty guys. I used the trait as a tactic to attack the guy carrying the bounty, pick it up and run as far away as possible as I had hoped, the guy was focused on healing his teammate while I revived, healed and gator'd across the lake far away. They had lost me and I extracted very quickly. The moral of the story is: Necro ballin
It's pretty nice. Had one game where I had a token from both bounties and just before extract I ran over a tripmined red barrel and blew up. I was very glad to be able to get back up after that.
I haven't played Hunt in a few years and recently thought about coming back - what's the deal with the self-rezing? Did they add classes/abilities or something?
Can someone help me understand something about this game? So I know that when you get enhanced darksight you can regain seconds used by looting a hunter. So why do basically all youtubers I see play this game not use one of their 5 seconds when picking up the bounty off a dead person? They always just loot the body. Wouldn't it be better to just use a second and then loot the body?
but i don't understand and i will never understand why they don't put single player mode. I often play solo. But why does this solo vs duo or trio thing exist? What's the reason?
Yo, how do you change the "press f" from red to the one you are using? Tks!! Edit: nm I saw your reply on the other video (new option on hud menu) Tks!
Golden rule for this event, always carry posion/concertina/fire to insta body block and kill suspicious solo players. Or just camp their asses if they are the only ones
I hate necro when I play duos with my homie but love it when I play solo. So many times me and my homie would die cuz of a solo necro. Be clutching up till a solo come lol
i just jumped back on hunt after a good while and i was flabbergasted when a solo rat i finally killed jumped out of the water and blasted me and my buddy said "that dude just rose from the grave and shot you."
I like and hate the idea of self revive. Gives power to the solos but I hate the amount of resoures I have to spend to make sure every single solo I find doesn't just stand up and kill me.
I enjoy when people enjoy the game but the new solo revive trait is bad for the game. it is incredibly frustrating to play against. easy to counter, yes. but still not fun. its a waiting game where you stick around a dead body and miss out on opportunities or other pvp fights. Hunt is moving in a weird direction. So many gameplay elements based on giving you knowledge about the map, playercount, etc and traits like these make things unpredictable where they shouldnt be. good content though, thank you for the upload.
I think the solution is to readjust self necro while keeping it a thing, I want a 2nd chance as a solo, but as it stands right now, it's just too powerful, especially against sneaky people like me.
@@Kuson2 yeah I dont mind giving solos a little help as long as they have to play duo or trio lobbies. but right now its at the cost of all other people and I dont think its fun.
Honestly, the self-necro is not the most impressive part. But given the clutches you already achieves, it kinda opens the potential to twice the epicness. GG dude !
As a solo, that is a really different gameplay style, you can't get punished all the time, but sometimes, as you said, just doens't work, someone else just stands on your body or wathever
@@Kuson2 On the other hand, you won't have team mate(s) blocking or protecting the revive / giving cover fire / throwing bombs or chokes as a smoke cover.
The only time when i would say that it is really annoying is when u get a sniper fight and that sucker just keeps falling into cover and self revives. but that happens very rarely so i think its just more tense and fun since nobody really knows who tf is a solo when a big fight happens so its just madness. Unrelated edit: i must also just point out that the game is like a billion times for fun since the event started and everyone just takes grounded pact and sprints into compounds without any fricks given, there are WAY less snooze fest games in the recent time than before (5/6 Stars)
@@MrOrdinaryundone Grounded pact on every hunter? So basically I have to go 1st game (on free hunter) and collect the souls and than go to the supply carts and do grounded pact?
@@TheBittersweetFox Yes, or you can use a Legendary Hunter who already has the Grounded pact. Get a token, commit to grounded, extract with enough XP for Necro.
I've ran into people doing fake duos, meaning entering the same game as two separate solos, probably coordinated thru discord, and raiding compounds like that while infinitely reviving themselves. This could be exploitable.
The biggest "exploit" I've seen so far is the fact that the mmr star rating system still doesn't seem to separate necro revive instakill farming and actual kills during fights. Basically resulting in a really easy method for solo six star players to change their mmr in just a couple of matches and go smurfing against 1-3 star teams absolutely obliterating them.
Necromancer Solo should not work when you are burning and needs perhaps a +5sec time until it can be activated. It is very busted right now, who cares about getting farmed, it is only stats anyway and you just get matched with even weaker players, who certianly do not enjoy.
idk i have been farming self revivers with concertina arrows and bombs a ton. also beartraps work very well, or just watching the body. just because you need a bit of time to get used to it doesnt mean it is op in my opinion. the game would become boring if its just the same shit every day.
The solo has all odds stacked against him. Espacially in Trios. When you can t beat a 1 bar downed hunter as a Team, you had bad Luck or it was to much Chaos. Only Concern: it makes snipers even more powerfull.
I like the solo revive as a trade "fix" but I feel it should be balanced a bit. The instant stand up after 4 secs is a bit too much. I feel it should like normal necromancer be something you channel / cast. And it should make a sound like necromancer / cost you something. As it is now its a bit too strong (fine for the event but if Crytek wants to keep it then bring it more in line). I like how it makes solos play more aggressive in general.
My suggestion is just the normal 5 seconds delay, but 1 minute max time before it expires. That way if someone is in a position you can't burn them (in the water, or away from a compound and you have no molotovs) you can simply camp them for a minute and then leave. That way the benefit of solo revive is that you can revive from distant snipers or from wallbangs/out-of-LOS dynamite/frags or instakill trap combos or people held down in another firefight at the same time, but you can't hold this indefinite trump card if they ever walk away from you.
its so helpfull. solo necro saved me a few games. but yeah smart players do know how to watch and wait or at least burn you so you cant wait them out. In unrelated news...anyone got anyadvice on what fov is good? ive been using 100 but im not sure if its to little or not
Use that fov that you are comfortable with. More fov= more information but less focus. So as a rule of thump: big fov is better in close encounters, high fov is better on range. Good players tend to play on higher fov, but its prefrence. When you wanna try a new fov, change it a little bit, and when you used to that, change it again. Repeat until you have the fov you want. Btw i play max fov.
The "best" FOV for not having queasy stretched vision is 90 or 95, depending on how close your face is to the screen. Super high FOV is disorienting and looks crappy. You usually see people using high FOV in PvE games like Warframe or Vermintide/Darktide because it gives more information and you don't have to be super accurate vs other players.
