Sinn used to be solid choice in the good old days. Sad to say they are no longer with prices having gone through the roof. I am stating this as a former owner and a friend of German watchmaking.
Couldn't disagree more. No disrespect to you, but every single item goes up in price. Materials cost more, salaries go up, production costs go up, advertising goes up. I'm not quite sure why so many people expect the price to stay exactly the same. Clearly by your statement, this is a very high quality watch. And the price is rise in line with every other product out in the market.
tissot couturier day/date powermatic 80 is probably the most underrated entry swiss watch. Never hear it mentionned anywhere, yet it's beautiful and has great specs
13:05 Small note: this is the NOMOS Zürich "World Time". There is also a white dial Zürich without the world time complication! It's clean, simple and just as beautiful!
Teddy! Im sure you get a million requests, but a video on fixed lug watches would be great. I break spring bars in the field almost every time i go to the field. Military folks would appreciate a video of that
I have a Grand Seiko SBGC221. It absolutely joins your group of fine white dials. And what it interesting is, after only one year I swear the dial it turning a very very slight kind of cream patina. Whilst I loved the initial crispness of the white, it now has a taint that I find even more pleasing. I have to wait some years to see what happens!...... Sure, White is Great!....
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on MAMACOO 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
This hit home for me as I have centered my collection around white dual watches. My Panerai, Seamaster 300 featured in this video and Zenith are all white dials. I personally think it is the best choice. Great video and glad to see the love for the white dials out there. Any piece that joins my collection has to have a white dial.
I'm hankering after a luxury watch with a white dial. I already have an Omega 300m diver in blue/yellow gold so now on my radar is a white Aquaterra which although is still a tool watch has enough about it to cope with a dress scenario .. just. Great video.. Subbed and liked🙂
Down on the very low end, around the mark of the Tsuyosa, I’d have actually gone for the Promaster Fugu white dial NY0118-11A. Crisp beautiful white dial that lights up incredibly in the dark with the insane lume on the hands and indices. I’d have said the full lume dial but that means it has a greenish hue even in full daylight. As far as micros goes, Zelos Blacktip Titanium Frost full lume dial is incredible. Pure white with a light texture in daylight and incredibly good at night with the full lume!
Hi Teddy, happy to tell you! Thanks to your videos I had yesterday my first Swiss watch, a beautiful Hamilton khaki field auto with the black dial, I love it! You're my reference to create my own watch collection and I will keep following your content
White just might be one of the most versatile dial colors? I do love blue but I’m afraid it might clash or limit the pairing combination with a variety of outfits. I have a darker shade lustrous blue enamel IWC 150 Year Jubilee Portofino Moonphase and a lighter GS Skyflake. Thinking about adding a JLC Ultra Thin Master Moonphase but it might be overkill since it’s so similar to the IWC
As always, great video Teddy. Love the Breguet enamel dial but way out of my budget. What do you think of the Seiko Pressage limited editions that they did with enamel dials? Not a Breguet for sure but are they any good for the money for an enamel dial? Love the 3D effect those have. Thanks!
I recently bought a Bremont Solo 37 pilot watch with white dial. A bit pricy but I got it second hand for a third of its price. A very good looking watch.
Your list is amazing. I would have added one more to this list, the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean in orange and white. I think this watch has one of the most crisp white dials I have ever seen. The contrast with the orange ceramic bezel and orange numerals is amazing and fresh.
Hey Teddy - Amazing content, as usual! I don’t recall seeing videos that include content on Corum watches and, in particular, some of the Admiral’s Cup models. Would be interested in seeing some content dedicated to this brand. Keep up the great work!
Man that Daytona Panda is so sexy. The Speedmaster Professional is almost certainly getting a white dial version this year too. Daniel Craig was seen rocking one and it's been "leaked" a good bit.
I love my Tissot Le Locle with a white dial, I will look to upgrade it at some point but I haven't found anything I prefer to it below the Santos price point. I don't think there's a better dial colour for a dress watch than white, personally.
Of the list here, I’d have my no.1 is the Grand Seiko with that crazy texture followed by the Arctic Edition. Not on the list is my all time favorite is the Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow GMT cream / white dial. Hands down the prettiest white faced watch in my books. Released in 2005-2008.
I dont have a single white dial watch currently but that Tudor Opaline pepsi will be purchased soon. Ill look at some others too probably off of this video so ill keep watching.
I agree about the white dialed military watches. I was thinking the same thing before you said it. For example, I never cared for the Sinn 104 but the white looks so much better to me, and the same with the Marathon.
The Mido Baroncelli is another great watch in white - the dial has an eggshell texture if you look closely, which produces a flat white under any lighting conditions. Very thin, making it a superb dress watch, especially with a gold or rose gold case.
Great video, long time coming. White dial watches hold a special place in my heart as my very first watch was a 1970s white dial Seiko. What are your thoughts on Tissot LeLocle collection? I find them quite eye-catching and hard to pass at that price point. Thanks!
Thank you Teddy, I love Zenith piece, as well as the Omega 300. This is a fabulous list of White dials. The GS snowflake is also one of my favorites. Thank you for sharing
The folks are GS are just being nice to you, definitely 2 distinct syllables in the name Eichi. Also, I think the white enamel dial of the Rolex DateJust is worth a mention. I think it’s their best dial for that model.
The list under $1K was a bit short - especially dress watches. I would have included the Seiko SARX019 - hand finished, enamel dial for under $1K? Got to go sans "presage" on the dial.
With ecru or silver, my favorite dial color ! Well done ! I miss the Seiko slim turtle here, and maybe the BALL TRAINMASTER. But I can fall in love with lot of watches here 😊
Great updates Fresh Baked! I can see your new theory for sure about the mansion… though it might also be in prep of a late summer opening of Tiana’s. They may want to try and relive that choke point before opening that new attraction. Or they might be planning for insane ques reaching down to the HM.
Great video again teddy it's always a pleasure to watch,I really like the Rolex explorer it's so simple just to tell the time,I have recently purchased a Seiko presage Sharp edged laurel limited edition and for the money it's spot on,I needed a dress watch 😁😁😁
I have a white IWC Aquatimer 2000 (IW356809? The brushed bracelet one.) , and it's amazing. It has a beautifully lumed sapphire bezel that _really_ sets it apart when I walk inside a dimly lit place after being in the sun. I like a Master Co-axial Seamaster Pro more, but I'd probably do the "Seaweed Master" if I did get one. Chunky, especially by today's standards, but I like it for that. I have a "perfect" Zenith Chronograph that's 40mm x ~11mm thick, and it'd be strange to me for them to be the same size. Different watches for different aesthetics/vibes. I actually also like the new Zenith Pilot three-hand because of it's sculptural case.
Great choices Teddy, I would like to also suggest the Muhle Glashutte SAR with the white dial to the list. It looks like nothing else and always brings a smile when on my wrist. ( sorry no umlaut on keyboard)
I'm surprised that Ball was not mentioned! They have a couple great watches with white dials. I'm partial to the Ball DG9000B-S1C-WH Engineer III Outlier GMT White COSC.
Man, Mondaine, Nomos, Rolex etc are all super great but that F.P. Journe feature really got me. And when you think watches cannot surprise you anymore …
great cover for the seiko, grand seiko, junghans, marathon, oris, baume and mercier, glashutte (beautiful!!!) and that credor all AMAZING PICS GREAT JOB
IWC Portugieser Chronograph is one of the most beautiful white dial watches in the world. Surprised it didn't get a look here. Regardless, great video, as usual, Teddy!
Omega looks so nice, I actually tried this one and looks awesome. But with 5 price increases in two years, they priced themselves out for me. I will not participate to this game, not at all. Great video, Teddy !
I opted for a blue panda Lunar Pilot over the Seiko Speedtimer. Although lovely to look at, the Speedtimer is sunk by its useless 24-hour subdial at 3 o’clock.
