Because, they like to projet/blame someone else for their problem. I am shy and one time this girl whispered this ugly comment to me. That I was been something I was not. I forget the word she used. But it was basically saying that I was been arrogant. Then I realized, she was arrogant. Other people had been kind and tried to get me to come out of my shyness. This girl, was not kind. She blamed me for her impatience in dealing with my shyness.
Many years later, I was diagnosed with Cyclothymia, an emotional disorder. I did get over my painful shyness. Mine was not a normal one, for sure. Now, people have a problem with me over sharing. Due to my condition, I feel a bit of a kinship to Aspergers Syndrome. I saw a movie of someone with it. Adam (2009) with Hugh Dancy. I could relate to some degree.
He just didn't know what to answer, clearly he didn't read the script or the character he was playing. You can tell because she's asking him questions she already knew the answers to, she wanted his insight, which turned out to be nothing.
He's not trying to be a douche. He's young, but he's setting boundaries. He doesn't want the industry to know every detail of his thoughts and life. He's trying to keep his own privacy in tact. Even though it's normal for people to expect actors to give them every piece of their existence , he's drawing the line and making it clear it's not about him, it's about his work, and the rest is just stupid to talk about. I would be doing the same damn thing. I would not be sure if my work was good or not if everyone praised me for my looks over anything else. You'd be insecure and feeling like maybe you suck and the superficial world just wants your beauty.
Not all these chemicals that's for sure. But one thing I think you may find interesting on how the men have changed is BPA aka bishenol A that was created in the late 90s. Literally in every plastic every can everything we eat out of to disrupt the male hormones from birth. It's real shit.
@@ZariyaJ Lol. A lot of kids look older today cause their diet consists of coffee, cigarettes and weed. Lol. Combine that with poor skin care maintenance, bad sleeping habits and a poor diet, and you will look older as a result. Also, being in shape and being lean makes you look relatively young, regardless of your age. Most of these kids are way outta shape.
I understand how good looking people can have shyness or social anxiety because they are constantly being stared at, even if it is just by admiration it can be draining to be constantly on the check by society.

AJ From what I've read about him he is said to be naturally quite shy, but learnt to deal with the media. I don't know if you've noticed, but he very rarely appears on chat shows. I think he's only appeared on a late night talk show once in his entire career.

People who have no clue of how the media works would say he's being arrogant but he's actually being wise. He wasn't going to let her misquote him or misrepresent him so he was very short.
To the people saying he looks confident and not shy, it’s okay to not get it. Throughout my life people have told me I seem very outgoing and confident whenever I do things but I have been held back by terrible stress and anxiety in everything I do. People carry it differently, but you might not see it if you’re only looking at people at face value
I think Brad knew she was trying to get inside information that the TV producer didn't want leaked, so Brad evaded everything. He probably had to do the interview, so he did it. Watch all his interviews. He is actually funny.

This interview reminds me why I respect Brad Pitt as a person. But it's easy to see why it was so easy to focus on his looks. He was pretty handsome and that charisma. I can feel myself remembering the crush I had on him back then. LOL~ It's a weird reality. I would feel the same feelings, but I never wanted to act like a boy crazy girl fan. I did not scream, etc. But I felt all the emotions on the inside. I hated it. I wanted to be mature. LOL~
I think he was holding back because he was being smart. He did not want his words to be twisted. He was pretty new to Hollywood and he wanted to keep growing in the business. He did not share his goals because he did not want them to be attacked/picked apart. Early on I thought he was a little stupid or arrogant, now I get it - he was selecting his words carefully. You can tell he is very careful not to have his career stopped by making smartass answers to an interview. She keeps trying to get him to say things that could hurt his career right there. He's very smart, yet entertaining.
He seemed embarrassed about this tv show he was doing. I bet he was ashamed about where he was in his career at this point that's why he didn't want to tell the women his age.
I don't think it was that necessarily.. You have to realize as a rising star at the time, he's probably done a good 50 interviews and was just tired of all the same questions over and over.. The age thing is just a shy thing because some guys get told we look so young for our age, and other times, people can't tell if we're older than our age.. so it makes us not want to answer. PLUS, he didn't want people to categorize him by his age.

Asking people if they are shy or pointing it out is rude. A lot of people who struggle with this at a younger age but break out of...good job, Brad. Shyness is not the same thing as social anxiety. Introversion is not the same either. People seem to get them confused...not the same thing.

He's withholding information coz he's got a plan for his career. He clearly doesn't know how this project shall portray him, so he'd rather withhold information about it at this point. He's being smart and because he's smart he is where he is now.
People calling him shy 🙄 not everyone likes revealing stuff about themselves and most of these interviews are usually very shallow and boring that's why he hardly did any. From his body language he also hated the way people talked about his looks and wanted to be taken seriously as an actor.

That is the fucking way to be! For crying out loud, he had the best attitude I've seen. He thinks what he thinks, doesn't let others influence his resolve. the show they are talking about is 'glory days' (1990)...which went nowhere and was cancelled after 6 episodes..which is probably why brad found nothing to talk about it
