Christian Blasch's view of the obstructive shielding may have been blocked (another illustration of the insufficient numbers of match officials) and he looks as fed up at having to make the foot contact penalty corner decision (was he under instruction?) as I am fed up seeing umpires make this kind of decision, following what was obviously a deliberately forced contact.
That forcing offence could have been penalised under Rule 9.9 and should have been. The attacker was not disadvantaged, he showed no interest at all in continuing to play at the ball after he had lifted it into the defender's leg.
