I ran away at age 13, hitch hiked to Georgia from VA. with two other girls, we were trying to get to Florida for some strange reason, I don't remember ...the last person to pick us up was a "former cop" in law school, he took us to the local jail and they called our parents, I went home on the Amtrack the next day, I think about what could've happened, the cop said he had seen some ugly stuff happen to runaways..and he didn't want that to happen to us. One guy that had picked us up at one point got us high on weed🥴dropped us back off on the highway...We could've been trafficked or k*lled...all because I knew I wasn't loved or wanted, I decided to run away from a painful existence that my 13 year old brain couldn't process...it's so many reasons why people end up on the streets, It could've easily been me😢..Sometimes you're just running trying to escape your pain, running from yourself, straight into a brick wall, into the arms of more pain. If your folks love and care about you, don't take them for granted..everybody don't have that...some people are truly alone out here in this world...don't be so quick to judge...you never know what a person's been through.

Young man if you see this: Start slowly doing PT in a pool. Walk backwards from toe to heel in a pool. I didn't walk for 2 years and aged out of my parents insurance. Those exercises gave me back my mobility.

Any “woman” that could do this to a child is sick and need to be locked up tbh or maybe I’m speaking bias because I’m a mother to a 10 year old boy 🤷🏽♀️ but it made me both very sad and angry asf to hear this happened to him.

I worked downtown, and met a lot of homeless people, and at that time, most of them prefer that life, because they didn't like rules and structure, but the face of homelessness is changing! Don't get me wrong, there are some of them that want to be right there, on the street, but then there that 20 % , be it mental health, drug abuse, psychological or physcofrenia causes them need the OUR help! Pray about it, then act!🙏
