one of the first things i learned bro over 2 years ago with this marker , the loading gate/sealing gate needs a lot of refining to make it work effortlessly ! . the amount of material taken off has to be near perfect !!! i use special "RG ROBOT BALLS " to start the process then i move on to filing with an assortment of diamond dust infused needle files , and a step process of different grades of sand paper , and final prep when perfect , i polish to a mirror like finish , so when im done , the HDP .50 shoots with no problem up or down at any angle , upside down , on its side , really any combination . the reason this is most important , in a real life defense scenario , lets say you get into a physical altercation where you are knocked to the ground , you are in a head or arm lock , so many many variables , BUT HEY !!!! , whatever happens , rest assured , a finely tuned 24 to 38 to 43 joules hdp.50 will always fire no matter what to help you out of a jam !!! I employ you to go outside like a river or something and shoot your hdp.50 upside down , left and right side like they do in da gangsta movies , LOL LMMFAO !!!! , straight up , straight up at 90, 60 , 45 ,15 degree angles , really anything you can come up with and notice how the trigger pull locks up and wont fir or is to the point the trigger feels like it will break under pressure !!! thats why i recommend the loading /sealing gate portion of the hdp.50 be worked on if people tend and depend to ever use in a real self or personal defense situation !!! heck while you at it , completely take it apart and file ,fit , finish and polish all moving parts , that is what real gunsmiths and technicians so to real higher end firearms before leaving factory to ensure when consumers get them they will do as they are meant to do !!! . i have 3 HDP.50's that are my personal pieces that i always keep , about 3 yrs now to show people and potential customers , one is my simple 24 plus joules with normal barrel shooting up to 12.7 mm steel balls weighing 8.53 grams , one fully modded with aluminum barrel shooting 8.39g steel balls @ 12.6 to 12.65 mm pushing 38 plus joules , and last one shooting HD-24 steel tuning barrel 42 plus jules shooting 12.6 to 12.65mm steel balls weighing 8.39 grams and all 3 models use 12 gram co2 !!!! great show my brother , and please do the test i asked you to do and let me know please !!!
You are very welcome sir. The steel balls are deadly little buggers and tend to destroy anything they come in contact with. Not as high i expected. Maybe the HD24 detent is too tight for the steelies? As for the stiff trigger the more you cycle them through the loading gate does break in some. It did satisfy my curiosity 🧐 In fact i think HD recommends the 12.5mm which also alleviates the tough loading gate.
I was expecting higher #s. I think there was more drag down the barrel than I thought. I have some .492" on the way. That may help some with the drag and gate. We shall see💥💥💥
Nice test bro. Maybe the detent causes issues? Do you use the stock detent? Mine was ruined fast when shooting 12,7mm steel balls. Now I use a new detent from HD-24 and has no problems so far. Cheers bro😃
Ya make the best shots you can lol. I had a ricochet from my 50J HDX come back and graze my side this past weekend. Even being a slight glance, it hurt. I've got a red line on the side of my hip from a 4.6 gram Busting ball round. I'd hate to take a direct hit from this thing.
So I didn't want to say, but it came back and smacked me right in my crotch. It did not feel too good. I had to push through it. I'd like one of those 50j HDX markers. Where did you get yours? 💥💥💥
Hello people. I'm looking for a replacement valve cap. The one on the back where the red indicator pops out to let you know there is pressure. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great. I have searched the internet and cant seem to find that specific part. Thanks in advance.
