There’s a mod that makes chunks generate in cubes instead of rectangular prisms. It allows you to have worlds of infinite height, and some youtuber used it to make an accurate-height Mount Everest

Actually, the light one was reverted in the experimental snapshots, but *did* make it into the final version of 1.18. (It's specifically mentioned in the changelog for the release) Monsters only spawn at light level 0, which makes it easier to determine where they can spawn without using F3, and saves on torches.

the light level change is actually in the final update, it was re-added back in after experimental snapshot 2.

The mob spawning change actually did make it into the live version.

7:13 I noticed that when I was playing on my survival world, and I wanted cacti (for banners) then I thought "hmm a desert shouldn't be hard to find" then I walked in a square with 5k blocks on both 4 sides and I found nothing, I even found a stronghold, then I started theorising "did they remove the desert? If it was, why?" And to this day I am waiting for a wandering trader to give me cacti

Thank goodness they decided to readd that feature for mob spawning! It really helps in lighting up big builds without having lights scattered all over the place!

The removed biomes aren't actually removed. They just don't have names anymore. A modified jungle edge just reads as a jungle biome.

I think there's a misunderstanding somewhere here. It wasn't the light spawning rule that was removed, it was that mobs spawning slightly faster at the bottom of the world. They removed that rule because it removed incentive from perimeter farms.

In order to have warm deep sea you need underwater heat vents imagine them being miniature underwater volcanoes constantly erupting with smoke slash bubbles this generates enough heat for the surrounding area for certain species to survive on and certain types of coral that need warm water etc etc etc etc etc

These bears would be bred using grass or apples 3. Very rare banner pattern using the Dragon Egg. This banner could be duplicated in a smithing table using dragon heads 4. Mossy Skeletons. This mob variety are found in swamps and/or lush caves that comes with a bow and poison arrows. When killed Mossy Skeletons would drop moss, slime balls, or even golden apples 5.! Cotton. Cotton would be located in the forest, which when punched would hurt the player. The only safe way to obtain it was to use shears or break it with a sword. Cotton could empty a layer of water in a caldron or be crafted into wool, or 9 cotton to make soft wool, for dyeble beds

This are a Very rare item, of this: 1% or about 1 in 100 chance as spawn in Stronghold chests 2% or about 1 in 50 chance as spawn in Dungeon chests Strongholds only generate under the water or Village Dungeons only generate under Y 22.
