I finished Oniisama e yesterday and I'm an emotional wreck. @@misc328 yeah, gotta agree with you buddy, this anime or this whole story sorry is on another level, thanks to the mangaka's genius writing, i realised how horrible is oniisama e compared to the divine story, characters of my hero academia, it is truly a masterpiece of its own and will always remain as the greatest and the most meaningful story in the history of arts.
This song makes me imagine Mariko cheating behind my back everytime this comes on lol. She's just so whimsical and beautiful you can't help but love her for merely existing. A real faerie. Mischievous yet alluring.
Mariko is definitely one of my favorite characters in the show by far. She is NOT supposed to be seen as a likeable character from the start but by the end you understand her motives and behavioral traits far more and why she acts possessive and erratic.

That's not a girl, that's a doll. It's probably supposed to be Nanako's dressing table. It symbolizes that moment in early adolescence when a girl leaves dolls behind and takes up adult interests
