Indeed. In the first half of the episode I was thinking "So we've got Ste, Doug, Darren, Brendan, Rhys, Riley, and Ally all involved in one episode. All we need now is Dodger." ...And then the second half delivered. Score.
I'm proud of Doug. Brendan had it coming. Doug must have finally snapped when he saw Brendan bully Riley. ROLF at Dennis dancing/holding Brendan's hands. "the 1 guy who could have been love of your life is texting ME" love this line. Talking to Riley & confronting Brendan will give him confident to make love with Ste now.
"and the one guy who could have possibly been the love of your life, you know what he's doing tonight? he's at home on a sofa texting ME!" haha in ya face Brendan
I think it's because of the passion Brendan brings to the show, I doubt people would be so passionate and argue about the characters if there was no Brendan. Probably wouldn't be very many comments here either...Don't think people would bother arguing and posting about Doug wearing red pants.
Riley, really... What kind of man after twenty sends love confession via text, honestly?! And of course Brendan doesn't love him: he loves Lynsey and even Mitzeee, so he won't be Riley's biggest fan.

Wow, awsome episode. A boys´s night, how did the writers of Hollyoaks think of this? I know usually there are many writers of different storylines. But this was amazing, they did a great job together. Now we saw almost all the Hollyoaks guys together, I have to say Riley is hot with muscles and his build, and other guys are not bad eitheir. Still I have to conclude, there is something special in Doug ( even Brendan has got muscles, but I don´t care, lol).
Yeah, I'm totally NOT going to defend Brendan in this episode. They've clearly been showing us that Brendan has been stalking Stug. Doug does have his own problems but doesn't mean that Brendan can smugly meddle into his or anyone else's relationships. Besides, Stendan never had a proper dating relationship, which sucks for Ste. He spent two years dealing with Brendan's violent insecurities, now he has to deal with Doug's sexual insecurities for the last two weeks.
Rewatching older eps since Walker arrived, I've noticed how it wasn't just a 1st impression, HO x some reason really tried to divert our attention using Jo & Cheryl's POV, but when later on W slowly revealed more of himself,"causally" also her did that memorable observation about W being gay & B in luv with him.
of course-I agree, you can argue a point and be passionate about it without being rude to an individual.Yea, you have to remember that this is just a soap, and the actors don't have control over the writing. Like if a character does something stupid-it's not the actors fault. But I do think you can comment on someone's acting ability. I think the actors playing Ste, Doug and Brendan are all good. It's just my opinion, that Emmett adds something extra to the writing that gives him such charisma.
I think Doug is starting to get Boring ! You can see the difference in how exiting it is when Ste and Brandan share a scene as opposed to when Ste and Doug share one. Ste and Doug make a cute couple, but people don't watch dramas to see couples who are just cute together !
You always have a choice, but everyone let not get to heated. I love the character ( Brendan ) and that's what he is a character. You can hate him but lets respect each other.
Doug so needs to talk to Ste! I totally believe Ste would not have a problem with Doug's being-extreme case-impotent the first time, the second time, the third time. It would finally sink into Doug's newbie head (upper & lower) that it's not about performance or technique. Then Doug would finally relax and take off like a rocket!
yea I think so too. I mean they write the show and to be displayed like that and it makes sense. We can only see what they show us tho. we've seen Ste said hes over Brendan and few episodes later He says he still wants him but I think now like I said when he had to choose between the two he had to choose to move forward. So I can only assume they will do the same for Brendan?
let's just say Emmatt scanlan won awards thanks to brendan's role and it was a long time hollyoaks didn't win awards so the show it's not just about BB but he is on of the most loved charcater on the show
And when he fucks up, which granted is a lot. He is man enough to apologize for it without being manipulative about it. And while Brendan is hotter than the sun (if you like that kind of thing), he's not the kind of man any person in their right mind would want to be with. Unless you like being smacked about the head and shoulders and getting your ribs broken. So while Doug has his problems and had issues to deal with. Unlike Brendan he's no phycopath.
I like Dennis. I hated him until I watched the chasing rainbows ep. Now I like him. He is like an overeager puppy. Every once in a while you have to smack him on the nose. But his heart is in the right place.
The show is called Hollyoaks not the Brendan show. Doug is right about what he is saying about Brendan, he is always around everywhere they go trying to cause trouble, so way not bitch about someone always in your face and your relationship. It is about time Brendan is put in his place, it should have been done along time ago.

I don't think what Doug did was out of line. love Brendan but he deserve that. what piss me off is that Doug helping and have mouth for everyone yet Ste wants to have a convo with him and he can't do that T_T and then getting on Ste's case. Doug and Brendan are opposites in how they are. if they were the same Ste wouldn't be with doug. Did you forget that Brendan gave Doug the money every after he felled to complete the fake drop off. And did you for get that in past Brendan has attempt to let Ste go. Remember when Rea found out she was have a baby Brendan said good bye. Ste wouldn't leave Brendan alone, he encouraged the Ste sex that got them caught. Just the way the writers want it. After all that everyone can say what they want but in the end there will be Stedan. Listen to the actors and read the spoilers =-)
As I said on almost aIl the comment I make about Brendan I say I love him, but that does not mean the things that he does is right, just because we love him Brendan should also be put in his place and not get away with everything. This is my opinoin is that not the reason we make comments, everyone will not agree with me but it is true that he will not change if he keeps getting his way No one gets what they want all the time.
I know there are a lot of Brendan fans, but by his actions, his violence, his unwillingess to stop manipulating people especially those he claims to care about and treats not as human beings but objects he owns, he deserves to be judged. Why doesn't he MAN UP for a change. Because being a man has very little to do with whose ass you can kick. Or who you can maniplulate into doing what you want them to do. Being a man has nothing to do with how many people are afraid of you.
doug has no right to judge brendan's marriage and kids and basically brendan's life he could if he had the guts to leave brendan's money behind and be succesful with his own strenght but he is really ridicuolus. a guy that I wouldn't call MAN.

...it's a bit similar to people now bickering about "new" Doug versus "old" self: since it's months he's changed quite a lot, a good number of new fans don't even know he wasn't a saint before etc: I mean, since it's a fiction & everything is "fuild", in motion, they can't demand viewers to stay true to already gone SLs or so, if they don't want to show an extra true motivation to do it, or it's all our wishful thinking more or less. Even if they will revert to old S., it'd be badly told now...
He's the man that loves Ste and that Ste loves. He's the man who has seen the effects of what Brendan has done to Ste. As for living off of Brendan's money. Did you not notice who Brendan signed that deli over to, he signed it over to Ste. Prehaps if Brendan doesn't want to be judged by people (that you deem unworthy ot judge), he should keep his mouth shut when it comes to other people's lives. And while Doug has fucked up in the past and hurt people, he's turned his life around. Which isn't something anyone can say about Brendan with a striaght face. I guess certain aspects of his character change but hes the same. He just came out and in unfamiliar waters and Doug never had the best self esteem before so it just gotten worse. before, he didnt have these problems to deal with. also I agree some dont Doug story before Ste and Brendan and for the writers they have to be constantly creating different storylines regardless. as long as some progression and they are on my screen I don't mind :3
