27th July 1969, Centennial Park, Sydney. Jaguar Drivers' Club of Australia N.S.W. Concours d'Elegance.
Amongst the relatively new E-Types, very new XJs and the various Marks and XKs were Ron Campbell's 1935 SS1 Airline (248901), Ted Cornish's (ex Adrian Walker) 1950 Jaguar XK120 OTS (660153), Ian Cummins' 1953 Jaguar 'C' Type (XKC037), John Goddard's 1954 Jaguar 'D' Type OKV1 (XKC402) and John Ronayne's 1955 Jaguar XK140 DHC (S807070).
Dad (Ian) had only bought the 'C' Type 2 weeks before and driven it down from Surfers Paradise in Queensland with Ian 'Hutcho' Hutchinson (whose XK150 DHC is also in the film), about a 550 mile (900 kms) trip.It was filmed by the ABC (Channel 2) for the club. I found the film amongst reels of film in Dad's (Ian's) belongings. He had obviously kept it after hosting a film night at Annandale at the De Bortoli Wines shop on 10th October 1969. Cummins Archive
