I wld actually feel guilty abt how great I thought my life was. I was a passenger in a car accident in 2020. Which caused the accident last month that changed my life and opened my eyes. No drugs/ alcohol involved or previous health history & no criminal record. Im college educated, & a huge volunteer & community activist; so much so that I took a position w a state program that assist people. 😳 I have 1 child; ( graduated college may 2020) that I raised w his father my best friend since we were 16. I grew up in a loving but crazy home w my mom;(widowed), grandmother and 5 siblings. Had acess to my Great Grandparents & Great Aunt & Uncle weekly. Oh & I ve owned my own home since I was 30 because we were taught homeownership elliminates the need for credit cards. I went to the ER after the car accident & now its all falling apart. Sometimes its what you cant see & dont know that's the most damaging. hit me up. Id love to tell u my story.
Mental health struggles aren’t always so obvious and neither is past trauma. She definitely needs some guidance and someone to show her a stable and healthy path. Being unstable has become her norm. God bless her and I pray she gets the right help. She is beautiful!

It's not why have a kid. Abortions are not right. People need to not have sex when not prepared for reproduction. So, people should stop having sex, if they don't want to be parents. Since so few people use condoms consistently anyway. Yall could learn herbicides that stop pregnancy, or when the woman is ovulating, or get married.

We have to be accountable for the choices that we make in life especially when we're adults. I wish you the best but at the same time, you can't blame God or anyone else for your actions. Get yourself together! You're smart. You just have to put your mind to it and build your own relationship with Christ. Get yourself established so that you can get your babies! The Most High has a plan for the good, the bad & the ugly. God’s will is still in motion even when we make sure poor decisions. I pray she catches the lesson so she won’t keep repeating cycles. That’s normal for her, she did not have structure growing up. We have to extend grace.
@@c.marienelson8729 I agree but at the same time, the accountability still needs to be there. We can't use excuses as a crutch to further hinder us from what we need to do. A lot of people have went through similar situations like hers and still didn't make excuses/blame others. They took the initiative to take that first step and she has the ability to do so. Proud of her for acknowledging and wanting to get right with God. So she has to continue to stay focused on her journey for the sake of her and her children's future.
This interview made me tear up. I lived in Atlanta from 2001 til 2018, graduated from Georgia State University. I'll never look at homelessness the same again.
I live in NYC so I see my fair share of homeless people. I give food and change accordingly, never giving it thought. But, this channel has clearly changed my perspective watching from this angle. Thanks again.

It might be difficult to believe but she only has the upbringing of a child. All of her decisions and rationalizations are from the maturity of a child with minimal guidance. 😰😰😰
@Tiffany, I agree with you and was wondering how anyone that fully watched this interview could not see that something is definitely a bit off, in addition to the fact that she said she has mental health issues. When there are mental health issues, I don't expect the thinking or behavior to be logical or rational, and that whole stop being weak argument is moot and does not apply.

Yesterday we had a brother who totally got it. Today we have a sister who hasn't a clue. Your homeless and you let dudes smash you with no type of birth control. Its old and tiring to see people making such horrendous decisions. Mental health issues aside we all realize this sister needs help. God helps those that pitch in and help themselves. Now we have the age old street action the smash and dash. Praying for the sister and her mental healing.

(I’m 29 & here is my opinion) She is 28. She is able bodied to go out and find a job. Just like she was able bodied to go out have sex and get pregnant. Thank GOD that her kids dad took the kids in. Thank GOD that those men cared enough about their kids. BUT those men don’t care about you. Clearly because you’re in the streets. I got a whole life story too. I was a teen mom. I was homeless and getting put out etc. I wasn’t homeless on the streets because I had a strong mind. I’ve never did drugs I didn’t hang out with the wrong crowd etc. but if you have a WEAK mind you’ll fall a victim to these streets. I’m not being mean but I watch these females interviews and it’s always something about a man. 🙄 stop being weak for these men that don’t care about YOUUUUUUUUUU. 😩😩😩😩 shut the world out and FOCUS on you girl
Sad to see young lady living in the streets. She young with 3 kids and one on the way. Needs to make better decisions in life. Am 32 with 2 Daughter's with my ex boyfriend of 5 years. My mom die when I was 15. Haven't seen my Father since I was 8. My family wasn't very supportive when my mom die. I moved out at 16 move in with my Kid's Father. He was older than me he was 25. I got pregnant at 17 and then 19. I had my oldest daughter a month after my 18th birthday. Kid's Father left me a week after my 21st Birthday for a Stripper he said he need a woman that can support him Financially.I wasn't working I was a stay home mom it was hard finding a job. Nobody wanted to hire me I had no work experience. I stay with his mom for 3 years until I can get on my feet. I got my first job at McDonald's at age 22 then 3 months was offered a second job at Walmart I save all my money. His mom didn't charge me rent I payed her water bill each month $80 and more she was on Section 8 I wash clothes twice a week. I eventually got my own place at age 24 I signed my lease July 1st and I turn 25 on July 12th a few days later. My church payed for my first and last month Deposit. One guy at my church give his furniture he was getting married that month and one lady got me Dishes I buy other things I need. For years I had a Fear of driving cause my mom die in a car accident 2 weeks before my 16th Birthday. I overcame that Fear I went to driving school for 8 weeks. I receiving my driving license 3 months before my 31st Birthday. Brought my first car cash 5 months before my 32nd birthday. I make goals for myself each month and I don't stop until I achieve them. My kid's are my strength and my biggest motivation they help me alot not to give up. My oldest daughter turn 15, next month. Am teaching her how to drive she wants to get a job to save for College. My plans is to get me a house by next year by my Birthday. I been renting for 8 years now. Am building my Credit up and saving money for my kid's College. I got a job with the School Board in my City 1 year ago. I plan on keeping that job until I Retire. I don't take credit for anything I done. God placed people in my life to help me and encourage me and I received the help. It was not easy I felt alone many times I have no family. I have a Jealous aunt my mom sister and a little sister we have different dad. When I look at my kid's eyes it brings me Joy. They are my Strength and Motivation daily. They encourage me and motivate me. I can't let them down and now I have a Goddaughter from the lady who brought me Dishes. Also a niece my sister had a baby. I have to be a Role Model for them as well. 💯💯💯

What an articulate and a clever young woman Seems her upbringing and the early deaths of her parents are responsible for her bad relationships with men. I sincerely hope she gets all the help she needs to find a permanent home with her children and a permanent job

@@nightstarstar1 Mental illness is not a excuse of not being self aware or not being able to have the capacity to better their mindset. There is so many resources for people who are suffering from mental illnesses that causes delusional thoughts/behavior. With your logic we should just write them off as slow and not push them to see their fault in thinking. I can understand if someone has a mental retardation which is different than what you are describing. You are speaking as if you know for sure how much her brain can process life decisions and new information. It takes growth and maturity to be able to evaluate your flaws and I’m sure she is capable. I’m not angry just disgusted by the idea of someone using “God” as an excuse for their bad decisions. I think it’s sad that you choose to downplay her intelligence and lack of ability to better herself.

Whew at sex offender ☹️☹️☹️☹️give that baby up for adoption. Get you a place to stay and mental health with pregnancy services but give your baby a chance to know peace. Mam, you need to put your pride to the side and get help. You are OUT your mind and need hospitalization. You are young fight for your mind but you knowing it all and having excuse for everything is hurting you. You need a mental health program that teaches you coping skills. You need help.
This is the comment I was searching for. I wish the interviewer took some type of course in mental health. He seems to be oblivious to it. This lady is in a full blown functional psychosis. She needs a long term inpatient mental health care to stabilize her. It will always be hard for her to keep her housing because of her mental health. She is in complete denial and delusion of her situation. I feel so bad for some of these people.
I was in a behavioral center at Grady with her for like 2 weeks. She is very, very smart and I have alot of respect for her. She even taught me something that I could run with for the rest of my life. She may not even remember me.

I can definitely see the Bipolar Disorder. She has some great qualities about her though. She's well-spoken, and she not stupid. She just needs true support & guidance. She has some serious battles she's dealing w/ internally. A therapist & mentor is needed.
These men need to be held accountable too. They were in a relationship and she became pregnant. Why is it all her fault?! Or maybe with this new pregnancy she should have been on birth control to avoid this situation and got stable.
She has to do the work though. God does answer prayers however, to get that house , car, job she has to work towards while she prays. Wishing her the best.

If they never went to court, and the father signed paperwork as the childrens paternal father, thats 50/50 custody. He should have the same rights to care and provide for his children as she does, and with her in her current economic position, he should.
