MOST AMAZING GAME IVE EVER SEEN!. JULS AND DANNY WAS AMAZING! Brady was aweful for 3 quarters but LEGENDARY IN THE 4thquarter came back 28-3 and won in OT! IT Was SPECTACULAR and ill never forget it. Thank you Julian
i love sly too. Sylvester Stallone is one of the greatest ever unbelievable story and underdog in real life made himself from nothing into a mega ⭐ im big fan of coming from nothing noone gives u a chance everyone says u fant do it and you climb to top anyways. BEAUTIFUL THING
@@wielandgollenbeck2871 I was sick thought yal blew us out honestly. I still cant believe we won that game in one quarter after getting stomped for 3 quarters lol but One of the Greatest games of all time and our teams was in it. Thats amazing itself Patriots/Falcons 🏈👀
I got hammered and passed out when I was sure the Falcons had the W. I woke up very hungover and VERY confused the next morning. I'm a lifelong Bills fan and this entire era of the Pats was a nightmare up here.
I kicked my in my tv smashed it to pieces, threw my Xbox in the front yard, after the 1st half I thought the game was over by the end of the game I was dancing in the streets I couldn’t breath lol. I was so happy I thought Brady would retire directly after the game, so glad he didn’t
Danny Dimes was the definition of next man up. The literal main difference between a blue collar tradesmen and a Diva is stepping up when needed. And for a utility guy to come thru for us when Jules got hurt for a while or all the unbelievable playoff moments Dan had it was always team first. Personally the Falcons bowl game was just like over the mountain for me and my fam it was just surreal. We averaged 7-10 games a year for the pats home and away. I was a diehard Brady fan. But The great team play by Jules and Danny against Seattle put us over the edge and that was a sweet season
I wouldn't say he's "under" appreciated. He was supposed to be Welker's replacement, he didn't end up being that and got injured pretty frequently, but made some amazing catches in the playoffs to help us win two rings. I think Danny Amendola is just the right amount of appreciated 😁
As a lifelong New England native and Pats fan, words can't express how fortunate us NE natives were for 20 years! Brady, Gronk, Dola, Jules, White, Moss, Hightower, Ty Law, Vinny, just to name a few Patriot Legends. Thank You to all!! We will especially NEVER forget 28-3. We thought taking down Seattle and The Legion of Boom was great?! And it was but nothing will top this one.
I've been a fan since I was a kid watching in 85 when they lost to the Bears, so I remember the whole Brady/Belichick era well and I agree. This might be my favorite Pats super bowl also. The first against the Rams in 01 will always be special and hard to beat, but 2016 28-3 might be better just because it was so incredible how so many things needed to happen for the come back, and they all happened for them. I still can't believe they actually pulled it off
Agreed on Hightower. I was always very critical of him and him tackling Lynch at the 1 against Seattle and obv the Strip Sack on Atlanta defines what’s in his blood. Just like Danny and Jules and Hogan etc. it was a helluva ride,, some of those games took years off my ticker, but we always prevailed and it was always confidence no matter who was coming up next when we had that team. Best moment for me was traveling to Pittsburgh when Jesse James touchdown pass was overturned,, what a game. We were literally at war in the crowd. At war. But we walked out beads held high and left that city draping a massive Pats flag in Monday AM traffic in Pittsburgh.
22:54 - Totally forgot about Falcon's owner Arthur Blank coming down to the sideline during the game when Atlanta was up... and all the memes of his face when they lost.
Greatest game and the stage it was on. This wasn’t a Sunday 1p game that only regional watch. This was the SB. 100s of millions. And the Seattle win too. Smh
@@alexjames2264cheifs might be best regular season game ever but coming back from 28-3 in the superbowl?? On top of that you have julios crazy catch than the next drive julians catch.. on top of that both defenses mad huge plays.
As a patriots fan this is remarkable to relive. Everyone at the house that I was watching the game at wanted the Pats to lose. They were laughing all night! Finally I got the last laugh! 😂 28-3
Amendola was a WARRIOR and a great teammate it seemed. It has been a privilege to watch not only great players but great men reach great heights. Climb on my brothers...
Love your show, Jules, it's in a similar vein as MacAfee's, but you differently bring it with your own style. Going to tell all my sports junkie friends about it, God bless.
I live in Rockland Mass, Danny's grandmothers brother is a retired cop up here met him while he was working a street detail(very Boston thing for cops to do) right after the Atlanta game he told me Danny was a real handful as a little kid, but a great kid growing up. This guy was cool as hell and I have no reason to doubt him.
"Tight end is gay; that's a little on the nose." Sam is thinking "tight end lol get it?" Jules is thinking "Dude, did you really just reference Aaron Hernandez?"
Biggest comeback in a Supernowl. Brady became the unquestionable GOAT. What a game when most people thought it was over. Edelman makes the catch. I think hes got it. I think he's got it. Replay. He's Got It!!! Lol Let's Go!!!
I was working during this game and was allowed to leave to go sit with my dad who had just been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He was a huge Brees fan and I'm the Brady fan. He talked so much trash when I got the hospital at halftime. Told him there was still plenty of time left with the greatest QB and Coach combo of all time. His trash talk was short lived and that was the final Superbowl we watched together. Glad we got to see the second half of the greatest SB comeback of all time
remember when Matt Patricia became head coach in Detroit and wanted Gronk, and Bill was going to trade Gronk but Gronk threatened to retire, 😂 😂 good times
When Alford picked sixed Brady, I knew it was over. When Atlanta went up 28-3, I knew it was over. When Gostowski shanked the extra point, I knew it was over. When we failed the onside kick, I knew it was over. When Julio Jones caught the ball on the sideline, I knew it was over. This super bowl was the greatest game I have ever witnessed and I still cant believe the patriots came back. This was an unbelievabe super bowl and I am so happy to have been able to witness it
I was young watching with one of my friends so we were ignorantly expecting a comeback at any point. After the missed PAT, even we were like “I guess we’ll just watch for the commercials” And then the Julio Jones catch on the sideline. That’s when my hope hit 0, we had to not only prevent another first down but we needed to back them up 20 yards out of field goal range.
This is thee greatest game I’ve ever watched. Ever. I remember everyone at my house were going against the patriots and giving me shit for being the only Brady lover there and at halftime I wasn’t even scared. I kept telling everyone that they were gonna come back and they were so mad when it was happening and I was having so much fun! But this game specifically is why Tom Brady is the GOAT. No other qb: Farve, Mahomes, Rodgers ect could do what Brady did in this game. Coming back from 28-3 in the end of the 3rd quarter and doing it in the super bowl. Brady is the only one who proved he could do it in this specific environment and moment. Mahomes had a chance when he played Bucs in the SB and couldn’t do it. And Brady did it without Gronk. Insane.
i feel ya my dad was roasting me that whole game he like to shit when we came back lol Big time Brady, Edelman, and Gronk fan here and ill never forget this game either. Spectacular 🎯
@@deadarmd Nahhh down 28-3 in the 4th quarter of a SUPERBOWL. YOULL never see that again and go on to win the game its ridiculous. so many things had to happen and alot of skill but alot of breaks and luck too tho. covert 3rd and long 3x straight. get two 2 point conversions just to TIE. ODDs was 99.3 theyd lose that game that was the % new york analytically said the possibility was and they finish a win and that . 07% came true lol less than 1% chance to coke back and win. Its really almost a miracle win honestly as bad as it was they got out played for 3 quarters then balled out perfectly 4th quarter and OT.
Seriously! People don't understand basic science. 🙄 Professor John Leonard of the Mechanical Engineering Department at MIT has a good article in Sports Illustrated OR for those that can't be bothered to read, he has a lecture about it posted on RU-vid. Exponent didn't recreate accurate conditions in their experiments & falsified their results to provide Tom Wells w/ what he wanted/needed to "prove" his foregone conclusion. There's a good piece that goes over this (on PatsPulpit). There are other cases where they've essentially been bought too (tobacco & auto industries 🤑). Better yet, Mike Florio found evidence when researching his book (Playmakers), that the NFL (Executive VP Troy Vincent) was the source that led to the initial inaccurate article about the situation published by Chris Mortensen (that was adjusted months later). The NFL did sporadic football pressure checks at subsequent games during 2015, but never released that data & NFL General Counsel Jeff Pash had it destroyed, likely b/c it would have exonerated the Patriots. That all came out in early 2022. Sadly, it doesn't get back the 2016 1st round pick or 2017 4th round pick, nor a time machine that would allow an unsuspended Brady to play in those first 4 games of the 2016 season, nor give back $1-million to the team.
I still don't believe they won that game. Lifelong pats fan, I had accepted defeat, but always held a sliver of hope for a miracle, and that's what happened.
Being a huge Pats fan, everyone was talking shit to me, sending me texts and I replied to everyone, we are about to watch the biggest comeback in history and turned my phone off… you gotta believe!!!
One of the greatest days of my life with some of my lifelong best friends. The revenge tour. Doing it for Galynn. For Tom. For the boys! Game had all the emotions. From the depths of despair to the highest heights emotionally. Tom cemented his legacy, didn't have to say a single word to Goodell at the trophy presentation but the hypothetical middle finger in his face was crystal clear. Tom once again proved his greatness on the world stage, and against all odds became a real life superhero that night. Talk about total euphoria. That high lasted for weeks.
I've won so much money off the Patriots by betting with my heart. The one time I thought I was betting with my head I took Cincinnati in the famous " Its on to Cincinnati" game. I brought great shame to my family.
It felt great being able to watch the second generation of the patriots dynasty, 2014,2016,2017,2018 were all great years even though we lost one.. 2016 is the greatest football game I’ve ever seen, and being the only patriots fan out of a group of 11 at our SB party, having everyone I know hate the pats, it felt great to see this comeback, True grit, never giving up... it was a rollercoaster of emotions watching this game, I was absolutely ecstatic watching them bully the falcons after feeling so defeated, everyone I knew that hated the pats were so pissed off at the end, I loved it. Truly miss seeing the 2014-18 guys ball out, especially Brady, Gronk, Dola, Edelman and Hogan. I don’t enjoy watching the NFL as much anymore since they’ve all left the pats or retired. There will never be another group of players like them.
Absolutely love the podcast and think you guys have a special thing brewing here.....but I must admit it would SO much better if you guys had a way to show the highlights clips while you're talking about them.
Great podcast Edelman! At least the episodes without this co-host, as he's very awkward and slows your flow down... On a couch with your guest, as in the Terry Bradshaw episode, (surprisingly hilarious), is the more winning format.
"You gotta believe" was a Deion Sanders Nike Ad compaogn in the 90s that he put on dew rags .which i still own 1 .. Definitely made up . Hilarious 😂😂😂 Allso, Titos was bought out by a big corporation and is trash now . Not a good vodka . ☠️
Nothing like living and experiencing Boston Sports from 2001 to 2021! We were truly spoiled. All 4 sports teams winning titles and being in the playoffs every year. Sometimes having to choose between which playoff game at the same time I’m gonna watch. Patten, Brown, Welker, Edelman, Moss, Gronk. Smh. The Falcons game. We had a bunch of undrafted and late picks that won that title
So Dola “had to go” because some WICKED SMAAAT Haaavad slam pig wanted to arm wrestle him. Her biggest regret. Dola still stayed in the city so he made out ok. 😂😂😂
Is it just me or is that sam guy painfully unfunny? In my head I was predicting the lamest joke he could’ve said and boom he said them. Sucks cuz I like Edelnut but Sam made this shockingly lame.
I was the biggest Pat's fan before there was a Kraft, Gillette, Brady, and Belichik. Then I found out most of the big games are scripted. That and all the woke bs has made me an ex-fan...
It’s not that Massachusetts and Boston felt entitled. It’s that the team represented the area. Boston and NE are gritty hard working ppl and the pats took on that identity. Just like Buffalo and Pittsburgh. And other blue collar cities
I vividly remember working valet a hotel and all my co workers were saying it’s over by half and I remember saying word for word: “Hey everybody, don’t count the Pats out of this yet”. I wanted the Hawks to win so bad but man I definitely had so much respect for Brady after that game. That game single handedly gave him goat status in my book and like I said I’m Pats hater, or at least I used to be until that game
The audience transitioned from "Can't miss watching the game." to "Can't bear watching the game" to eating snacks and talking philosophically about the game without really watching it to people mentally wrestling with going home from the Super Bowl party and entertaining turning the game off, but respecting the reputations enough to want to see what happens. To can't take our eyes off the game. And then, with the win, watching it over and over and over again.
By the way, you're 7 minutes almost 8 minutes into the video and you haven't talked about the game at all. The game was the best thing ever and that's why we're here. I don't care what the number one movie was or song was. Get to the point. Although I did love that, Julian corrected the other guy when he swore about taking his niece to a movie.
Why does it other teams use amendola like the Patriots did? He was awesome for us and he caught everything thrown to him. He went to Miami, and Detroit, and I don't even know where he is now but no other team uses them like the Patriots did and I don't get it cuz he's good
I work on aircraft and I’m sure anyone else here who has knows the feeling of filling tires up in the morning because it got cold 😂 I’m not even a Pats fan but deflategate is ridiculous
Kinda alarming to hear Julian blacks out during games. I’ve heard of athletes doing that but to finish a game and not remember a lot that happened? That would scare the hell out of me.
I was working in Estevan, Saskatchewan driving thru a snow storm before I left they were losing by 20 and when I came out of the storm it was a possession game and to the bar finish watching it and the rest is history
I bet on the falcons, it was halftime on my break I was so confident and for the rest of my shift all I heard was touchdown Patriots damn you Tom Brady LOL
Oh wow this is the year I got Tom Brady in the seventh round in fantasy lol I started Aaron Rodgers until he came back then I picked up Jordan Cameron I smoked everybody that year😊
I was deployed in the Middle East. Game looked lopsided so i went to bed as it was like 0200…. My airman comes running and beating on my door and is like the pats are storming back. I ran across the base to the big projector that the game was on. Great times
No no no no no no no no no. How can you screw up basic physics? You went to college! TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE MOVE TOGETHER. It is "Gay-Lussac's Law"! P1/T1 = P2/T2 The Starting Pressure divided by the Starting Temperature is equal to the Ending Pressure divided by the Ending Temperature. Pressure and temperature MOVE TOGETHER! A 1% change in one creates an identical 1% change in the other. BECAUSE Temperature and Pressure both measure the SAME THING, the Kinetic energy in the gas or liquid. Like Miles and Kilometers, both measure distance but use different scales to do it. So when the distance changes they each change by the same percentage, but not by the same number. If the temperature falls from 72F degrees to 32F degrees (a drop of 44.4%), then the pressure must drop by 44.4% too. God the American Education system sucks!
My son was a newborn, a month old, I watched the first half with a group and left at halftime. We got home, I watched the last half trying to remain silent to not wake him but the best game I’ve ever witnessed
How tf isn't this channel bumming? He has the top HOF with stories and no filter on here. Plus it's the 2nd smallest big man in NFL history next to Darren sproles
Bumming?😅 No I agree though Sam Morrill is in the mainstream and Jules is Jules a WR who played with Tom is pretty mainstream as well also they brought Peyton and Eli on!! Ffs Algorithm!!
I was at this game and it was UNREAL. Best game ever and I was at the snow bowl, the afc championship vs mannning, the division game vs manning, afc champion game vs chargers, etc.
1:23:44 I’m glad Julian pointed out that they didn’t rate the stakes of “18-1” a 10. It really should be. Not only was it the Super Bowl but it was potentially capping off the greatest season in the history of the sport. The stakes couldn’t be higher than that.
