I work at a pump repair shop in Gippsland. I definitely recommend getting cam locks for disconnecting from your set up. Will make life much easier then dealing with sand in bsp threads.

Hand tanning is much faster than the blue bowl. The blue bowl is just a novelty something to put on your shelf and collect dust

So... roughly 28 buckets would be 1/3 of a metre? $71 x3 - $210ish per metre sounds like fun to me lol. Gunna need a bigger bucket. Great videos

I would think a Miller Table would be perfect for flat gold. I’ve heard that Blue Bowls excel at separating corse gold but struggle with flat gold.

Gold O face. Great run man. I wish I could use a high banker in my area. I noticed that you seemed to just have miners moss on carpet and a metal Xs. I have a crazy amount of course black sands like 6 liters per bucket. It’s so concentrated that I can’t pan it in the field. I am trying to find a way to separate it but I can’t figure out a efficient way to do it. I guess It’s best to be patient and do it old school slow and steady. You are pumping the videos man. It’s becoming fall here in North Carolina so your videos will be my only way to bed down the gold fever.

No disrespect intended but I thought Australia is famous for big nuggets and lots of gold. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos and they are good for teaching different techniques. I have learned a lot of useful strategies and other useful methods/ things to look for by watching them. However the results seem hardly worth the effort put forth for the dismal pay-off. Are more productive areas mostly under claim or are the other areas too far to get to and work safely? Just curious as I see other videos finding large nuggets and good amounts of the yellow candy.

Run moss throughout, ditch the astroturf.
@SpudEngineering
@SpudEngineering Год назад
I've tried both, I've run mutiple loss tests and I do this full time. Astro turf is way better than moss on this creek. The tin clogs the moss and prevents gold dropping from suspension. The numbers are simple 15% loss rate with moss on this creek. 2% loss with astronturf.
