Mate you have a great way of communicating with your viewers and I’m sure you have heard this before but it’s the truth and I love your videos you are very lucky to own a great example like that and you are giving it the respect it deserves mate keep the videos coming and I will look forward to seeing the next one bro
Hi Dan hope you’re well it’s Dan who had Marks Saph before him. I can vouch for the work done as he sent me step by step pics doing his underside and engine bay as well and he turned it around in such a quick turnaround time! The car couldn’t of gone to a better bloke who has all the correct tackle to just crack on, his attention to detail is impeccable, I too recommend him and his garage to anyone else 👌
Cannot beat being able to look under a car or your own,and its as clean underneath as it is up top 👌 mega work and coin gone into this, and absolutely worth it.
@@garethwilding2067 thank you mate. There was a few of us done it. Didn’t name them all but some serious man hours went into that….quite a few coronas too haha
Aye they’re a good set of mates. There was me, 2 tonys, a mark and a Craig all working after hours on it. Truthfully tho we had a right good laugh and learned a lot about cosworths lol
@@TheM5Dog they were very difficult to get but with the values of the cars there are allot of companies remanufacturing parts now and charging the earth for them. Hardest things to find these days are good used engine blocks and heads
@@onthelimiter6529 That's good to know about the remanufacturing of parts, but less so the prices :(. Yes, good heads were difficult to come by back in 2002. I ended up buying a rebuilt 205 block and YBP head for my sapph and giving my brother my old head (my bottom end had some challenges lol) as it hadn't been skimmed and the water ways were in decent shape. Are new blocks available? What about cranks?
@@TheM5Dog there’s a company called smith and jones engineering make brand new heads and blocks but for bare head and bare block combined you won’t see much change out of £12k. Cranks again are hard to find used, they come up for about 1200ish and brand new remanufactured ones are 2200+
@@onthelimiter6529 ouch! That's a lot of money! I remember when you could pick up an engine for £750, as that's all I paid for mine 😂. The cars were worth more in parts than a whole back then too.
@@onthelimiter6529 to do all that in 28 days though takes some doing, especially while running a business at the same time. Wish I had some mates like that 🤣
@@ShalomBrother am lucky to have them mate. We were doing it mostly on a night after our day jobs, worth it but defo hard work. Had some great laughs too tho
@onthelimiter6529 my mate had one be about 20 odd years ago melted a piston raceing a ex police cavalier turbo on the way back from a car show in Glasgow lol
@@johnw13473I was right on the arse of my pals magenta Saff (the 500bhp one we done a vid of) and he melted his piston right in front of me 🙈 it’s just been put back on the road last week
