Trying to see what patterns better out of my Stevens 555 with a Pattern Master choke tube. appeal @ www.doityourselfhunter@.com @doityourselfhunter.com
Appreciate the good honest test!! Just now saw this video. That 28ga has been a hot round. I agree I think it will really take off next couple years once people start seeing what it can do. Thanks for having us in your test. Holler if there are any others you want to try.
Good test! All the loads would work to 50. I was hoping you would demo the lower barrel with lead 6's or 7.5's at 20-25 yd's. Love the concept of load and choke selection.
Great job going through the effort of patterning your gun. A lot of people don't take the time to do that and, as a result, either miss or wound birds. That 28 gauge of yours is super versatile with its ability to change barrels. What a pattern. Thank you for the great content.
I think your right about the gun becoming popular. I really like the idea of an over & under for different distances. We enjoy your videos here in Ashville, Alabama. 🦃🇺🇸
Well I have never been one for shotgun due in part to what you were saying about spread without a choke, I like knowing where my shot is going, currently my wife has a 410 gauge and I recently bought a 12 gauge pump for turkey season, haven't been able to get drawn yet but when I do I will have the 12 equipped with a choke for sure, great video, thanks for the info, and sharing, love watching all you guys
Nice video! I have preached to every new turkey hunter to pattern their gun.I am shocked at how many veteran hunters I have came across that they have never patterned their gun. I get, shells are too expensive or it's the same gun and shells their buddy uses so it should do the same. Respect your quarry and know your guns limits. Keep the videos coming.
To me not patterning your turkey gun is not only irresponsible/unethical but it’s a sin. It would be akin, in my opinion, to buying a deer rifle and going hunting without sighting it in. They are not veteran tky hunters if they haven’t patterned their turkey gun, they are a novice that’s been doing it a while.
I appreciate your time and effort in testing these loads. I just wanted to confirm that the Nitro shells were 3 inch shells. I have the same gun and mine is showing 2 3/4” chamber not 3 “.
Just put a Stevens 555 Compact .410 for my wife. Had it drilled and taped and studs placed for a sling. Made her a black sling and she is in business with a Jeb's choke in the top barrel. Shoots outstanding with the xx full choke. I like your arrangement.
I love my Winchester 101 O/U 28 ga. I dove hunt with mine !! It’s probably 65-70 years old. Mod on bottom full on top ! I’ve had it 60 years and twice it’s shot both barrels at once. You know when it happens. I wish I had a nickel for ever shell that’s been fired thru it ! Your gun patterns great. I wonder what the limit is with it.
Great video Jeremy! Been 12 gauge guy for a long time! Bought a 410 a couple of years ago when the craze hit. It didn’t stick! Love the video but think I’ll stick with the old standby and Nitro #4s! 👊🏻💯👍🏻 Been wondering why I haven’t gotten any of y’all’s vidjahs on my notifications! RU-vid up to their junk! I was unsubscribed! I didn’t unsubscribe! I’m now subbed again and all notifications on!
