One week of work
A huge week of work with Myck
With precious help from Sylvain, Kiki, Céline and Héloïse
Sorry for not having been able to film everything in an optimal way, it is very time-consuming to pour a slab!
The roof is finished, and I love the result! it can start to live for a few decades
The dust barrier installed will be used to prevent the slab from crumbling and falling into the rooms below in the future.
The mixture of the hemp lime slab respects the old building, is permeable to water vapor, which is important to preserve the French wooden ceiling!
Slab masonry is very physical, being 2 is the bare minimum, with an optimum at 4 to have time to breathe, something we didn't do!
We wore masks when handling the dry lime, and gloves all the time, the lime is very corrosive, remember to cover your forearms, I was a little burned but nothing serious
The mixtures can be replicated identically, because the hygrometry of the lime and hemp bags are always the same:
1 bag of lime, 1/2 bag of shiv, and 45L of water
Or in volumes: 1 lime, 2 shives and between 0.8 and 1 water (the consistency may vary)
If you have additional questions do not hesitate to write, my email is at the end of the description
It's all for this week :)
I hope you enjoyed the video and I'll see you again very soon to continue the work!
