This video contains "28 Weeks Later Theme" & "Don Abandons Alice", they are two different versions of the same theme by John Murphy. Taken from the the Original Motion Picture Score (music by John Murphy)
This song just gives off this feeling I can only describe as-youre running from hundreds of undead your legs hurt, your breath is getting shorter and you just feel-you feel hopeless
this song always makes me feel angrier. I can feel my own blood beginning to boil. The moment when he drops from the rafters and gouges the eyes out of the final soldier is so violent and insane.
François Royal Desolation for me like a whole world has just been forsaken and all of who inhabit it a forced to fend for themselves in barbaric and inhumane ways
it's a Leitmotif without an overture but for modern tastes that's why it works. The equivalent of an advertising jingle but one redolent with meaning for a story about an endlessly replicating virus.
@@violet_world9385 ? what are you talking about , i havent seen any dead walking the earth and comparing covid to a zombie outbreak is bullshit its missing allot more action covid is boring
They did have a lot of food at the beginning. and remember they only ran when they saw food. they would just stand around or even sit until there was food.
the thing is, with 28 weeks later, it's not exactly true zombies, their bodies are never killed, it's a virus that takes over almost the entire brain, idk where i got the name from but i've always called it the rage virus
This song has been in my sub conscious for years and I only watched this movie once like 10 years ago wtf lol. Like it would just start playing randomly and I would go insane trying to think what movie it is from, now that I found I dont know how to feel...
+SuperSix4 I just listened to Starman by David Bowie, and the first few chords at the very start of that song are just like the chords for this song. Triggered my subconscious memory of this song and I just went nuts trying to remember where I had heard it from.
Playing this while cleaning the house. You feel like a pro murderer who's cleaning after his crimes and about to get interrogated by cops. Cleaning process: pouring water/bleach/mrclean mixture on the floor feels like you're about to pour gasoline and burn everything. Storing meet and chicken in the fridge though.
+Kymaani Heketoa I like to imagine scenarios but i never do them like its jist my head entretaining me??? Like imagining how successful i will be. xD ain't gonna happen. Maybe i'm a writer material. meh
i felt the same way taking out the trash today lol. The last bag.. this song playing in my earbuds made me feeling like i was carrying bodyparts to the trash. if anyone wants to judge me on this comment blow me. the song is erie and doesn't make you think about Kellogs Fruitloops
This music is very terrifying and gives me a little bit of anxiety don't know why the composers of the music and sound track of the movie did really really good props to them
I wasn't really a massive fan of these movies. But I really do like this music track. Actually gives a real sense of desperation, sadness, and biohazard if you get what I mean. Not many pieces of music can convey something so specific so well.
sets the tone of the song very well... it's very dark, evil and terrifying... that's how the song should be, since that is how the movie is. that is EXACTLY what it is. dark, evil and terrifying. amazing!!!
- "You're exposed." - "Someone is tracking you." - *Phone ringing in pocket* - *Blitz footsteps coming from down the hall* - *Wall right beside you gets sledgehammered*
Whenever i work out,i listen to this because i know, that when this shit will happen,i,ll have to have the stamina to outrun the infected! Uhh gives me the chills..
I will never stop loving this track. The way that it grabs you and never lets go, never pays off. The relentless escalation of dread is exhausting, it's a relief when it finally ends! An absolute genius composition.
This song is absolutely a brilliant composition. The soundtrack in itself is created in a way that it tells a story without context. Take any comment on this video praising the movie, and replace the movie with the song. It's still true.
I love it because it's like the Shepherd's Tone in the form of a song. It's always building up to something, but that something never comes. It just keeps building up intensity.
The terrifying thing is the thought of being alone, having to fight to survive by yourself as the only human left in the world. You're going to die eventually because they're all looking for you. You need food, a good source of water, and rest which will be hard to come by. There will be 6,999,999,999 people trying to hunt you down and fucking eat you. Tbh most people would just go fucking insane and probably commit suicide so that the zombies cant kill them.
and it won't matter who or what it's gonna be, it could be a vampire, a zombie, a "rager" , or even in my concept and mind, a werefox(es) who got transformed and can't change back, they're going to try and bite you and if that happens, 2 possibilities are presented, one, you get infected and transformed into these creatures of they successfully kill you and they eat you.
Dre Cotton I use to have this on my iPod and blare it while we played manhunt in grade school lmao felt just like the beginning scene of 28 weeks later. scary as fuck.
anti golf boyz you know when ever i get rich I'm going to get about 100 people together one side infected the other side is survivors.. try to outrun the horde ! lol no weapons just RUN
28 days ago I heard they came 27 days ago I raided stores of their last remaining stock. 26 days ago I began to barricade myself. 25 days ago I heard about the fires. 24 days ago I saw cities fall asunder our worst achievement. 23 days ago I heard that there was no hope left. 22 days ago I lost power. 21 days ago I found a dog. 20 days ago I had a migraine. 19 days ago I began vomiting. 18 days ago I began to hear them outside. 17 days ago I had to put down my dog. 16 days ago I had begun to twitch. 15 days ago I lost all of my fingernails. 14 days ago I saw the lumps of flesh and sludge outside. 13 days ago I called them the Ink. 12 days ago I found them standing around my house. 11 days ago I found my dog alive again. 10 days ago I lost all of my hair. 9 days ago I began forming black rashes on my body. 8 days ago I began writing my progression down. 7 days ago I found my dog turned into a swollen mass of flesh and liquid. 6 days ago I broke down. 5 days ago I began to swell. 4 days ago I began to form welts. 3 days ago I woke up to my legs having come together. 2 days ago I found the Ink in my house. 1 day ago I-I gave up my humanity. Today I am one of Them. (Not OC, but I remember reading something like this somewhere & wanted to post it at 4am on this video for no reason whatsoever)
I just watched 28 Days Later for the first time and I expected some mindless zombie movie, but I was shocked. It was actually fantastic not only as a survival horror, but as a movie in general. Definitely the best zombie or "infection" movie I've ever seen.
I agree to put it simple it actually grasped a possible reality in our world turning into a apocalyptic wasteland through infection. It shows how defenseless we humans are when it comes to viral outbreaks in our cities. The havoc that would follow and the destruction of our infrastructure. The movie captured that wonderfully.
TrollfestMaghee due to our medicine dependence most of us have lost our natural immunity to a lot of things, for example if an old epidemic like small pox were to break out again, but this time a little bit evolved , most of us would not be abble to counter it. this is not proven, this is just my understanding, someone correct me if i am wrong
iwanticecream I don't think you know anything about biological terrorism or the fact that the U.S govt is extreme ill prepared to handle nationwide blackouts. We're talking about zombie like infected not the fucking flu. You're telling me if an infected outbreak happened in NYC that the U.S Govt has the logistical capability to seal the city off within 24 hours? Have you ever served in the U.S military? Sealing off 9 million people who are rioting. rampaging, trying to escape is no easy ordeal. The world has dealt with controlled cases where people weren't going crazy but what if the people didn't stay calm and started evacuating at numbers that the military can't contain. Through a blackout? When you take some time to think about the variables of the possibility you'll grasp knowledge.
iwanticecream No need to curse, to be honest, we humans can't do much against stronger (synthetic?) virusses. And the goverment wouldn't lose control over the disease, perhaps. It would lose control over their people, Riots, killing, raids you name it. Let's say we assume that we're dealing with a "sleeper" type virus, by the time patient zero knows he/she is "infected" he/she will have come into contact with countless other people. Who themselves have come into contact with countless people, and so on. When h1n1 was noticed by the center for disease control and prevention (CDC) did shut down flights. Still the outbreak wasn't "stopped" until May 2010 (h1n1 began in April 2009) Luckely h1n1 was a mixture of known flu's as such we were able to make vaccines. Humans are not defenseless or stupid. But things out of our hands (at one point) are very hard to get control of. The world is lucky that bio terrorism is forbidden. But one day someone's gonna cross that line, and it's not gonna look pretty. (additional notes) recent developments: On 26 April 2011, an H1N1 pandemic preparedness alert was issued by the World Health Organization for the Americas. In May 2013, seventeen people died during an H1N1 outbreak in Venezuela, and a further 250 were infected. As of early January 2014, Texas health officials have confirmed at least thirty-three H1N1 deaths and widespread outbreak during the 2013/2014 flu season, while twenty-one more deaths have been reported across the US. Nine people have been reported dead from an outbreak in several Canadian cities, and Mexico reports outbreaks resulting in at least one death.Spanish health authorities have confirmed 35 H1N1 cases in the Aragon region, 18 of whom are in intensive care On March 17, 2014, three cases were confirmed with a possible fourth awaiting results occurring at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. According to the U.S. Geological Survey and the CDC, northern sea otters, off the coast of Washington state, are infected with the H1N1 flu virus and "may be a newly identified animal host of influenza viruses".
Good news everyone, they have announced that the script or well, idea for a sequel to 28 weeks later has been written, we're getting a third film! Happy day!
The thing about the 28 series is they're more than just horror or thrillers. They are actually VERY disturbing. The second one more than the first. It isn't just the violence, gore or jump scares. It's really how the plot unfolds and how you are sucked in mentally into the movie. I don't even wanna think what would happen if the rage was unleashed in real life.
umm we kinda are screwed because the "rage" virus is a genetically modified version of Ebola and rabies. Ebola is popping up everywhere. first its Texas then somewhere else. AND just to top it off the government is making vaccines for Ebola AND rabies sooooooooo Coincidence I THINK NOT!! WERE DONE FOR!!!
I've kind of gotten used to the idea of zombies/the infected now...but when I saw this movie I remember being utterly horrified of them! Sent shivers up my spine...
totally agree! i blame the walking dead for passivizing zombies. 28 days/weeks zombies are terrifying because of how savage they are. in this universe if you get infected you change in SECONDS..and all zombies chase after you like usain bolt..just beautiful
These are NOT zombies. They are infected. They die same way like we do. These infected with CONSTANT UNCONTROLLABLE RAGE. They are not dead or ''undead''.
Yep. In fact, the "Rage" virus in the movies actually IS a genetically modified strain of Ebola. Check out the 28 Days Later wiki if you don't believe me. Soon it will mutate and cause the infected to go crazy and try to spread the virus. There's already been one guy who flew into a rage and tried to piss on the doctors who told him he had Ebola, so it's already started. THE END IS EXTREMELY FUCKING NIGH.
I can’t help but not hate Don for what abandoning his wife and the kid. I mean not everyone has that hero vibe inside them, especially against mindless infected like these ones right outside the door. I love the realistic approach that he cowardly ran away because the only thing going through his head was surviving. And it broke him tremendously. Plus let’s not forget the awesome scene that came with him running away.
@@m_Knowles Have you even watched the movie ? He literally died like 20 minutes in , his infected wife infected him via kiss and since he wasnt immune like she was , he was turned . Which basically means death cause there is no cure .
If you watched, he DIDN’T just run. He saw his wife, saw the infected, realized he was barehanded and there was like 3 zombies there, THEN ran. If 2 of those things weren’t there, he probably wouldn’t have ran immediately
How to run like usain bolt? 1. Go outside at night, or abondoned place. 2. Play this song. 3. Imagine that zombies coming for your flesh. Edit: Guys. This movie predicted Covid-19?
This song is playing when your car breaks down when your driving away from a horde of zombies you get out and hear screams from the end of the tunnel you see shadows coming closer and closer then you make out that they are foaming of the mouth and there red eyes your manage to get a crowbar out the boot of the car you taunt them as the first ones gets close you swing for them and then 10 more jump on you and tear you from limb from limb. You are turning, as you are being eating at the neck a dead military officer on the ground with a M9 pistol next to him you manage to kick them of grab it and pull the trigger next to your head.
This movie franchise has literally a lot of potential. Sure the number of '28' perhaps limits the set timing but. All the films they could come up with show a lot of themes! Like they could make... 28 Seconds later 28 Minutes later 28 Months Later 28 Years later It's optional that this could follow after the crew of either the first or second movie or have a completely brand new crew entirely. Or it's optional that the '28' seconds film is right after the first infection? Who wants to see this all become a thing?
Kripled Reapr I Don't like people wasting their time over comments commenting hate If you don't like this comment ..... pass if you like this comment feel free to post your shit all over it
+Kripled Reapr I didn't really "take the bait". I just visited this video and I forgot that I left a comment because it was a while ago but anyway, thanks for the laugh, friend 🙏
***** heh. thats funny bud. how long have you worked in the CDC or done viral paper's Ebola is a virus that makes you bleed internally messes up your BP at a rather dangerous level. ''zombies'' if you will call them are infected with something that effects the brain and cellular construct. making them heal some even after decomposing, but the will to bite is not to feed. its what the virus does to infect. it makes a hunger in the brain, so in return the infected bite out reaction.
this soundtrack really is a work of art, to be able to find a piece music that possesses you with the sense of fear, paranoia, and anxiety that this does is incredible.
Oh god, thank you so much for this. I remember the first time I heard the theme in theaters like 15 years ago and my friend and I just looked at each other like, "OH. MY. GOD." - this was the first time I had heard true doom in music, a true crescendo that builds throughout the entire song and just makes you grip your arm rests and clench your teeth - and this is now the kind of music we try to write. Amazing how the whole song is basically 4 notes over and over but it doesn't get boring, only intensifies. A true testament to the power of music. John Murphy is a genius. Also, best zombie films EVER. We need a 28 MONTHS later. And even a 28 YEARS later. ;) This song still gave me chills in the second film, and I'm sure it would still be just as amazing and iconic in the third and fourth films too ;)
Was listening to this, thought to myself: "Fuck it, I will watch these 2 movies right now!" and watched them at midnight in a dark room. Best decision this year. Both were awesome.
This song reminds me of my ex girlfriend who died in a car accident, she was addicted to heroin, and every time i see the girl in this video it reminds me of her, i never did heroin but this song make me think of the hell she was going through..
This is never gonna happen but think about it. If you're not a very fast runner or your a bit un-healthy and get tired easily, you're done. If you trip over, you're finished! If you're in a small enclosed area, there would be nowhere to run!
There's a webtoon about a zombie apocalypse where a girl lost her legs, like before the zombie thing, she used to be an archer and she started to talk with a boy using a rope from him to her, they send each other food, notes, photos. They can't see each other but can read, it's like virtual texting, it's all good till a really bad character come in.
Awesome piece of music.I can imagine this being played on Black Friday as people go into a frenzy trampling over peoples heads to get the latest bargains from Walmart.
I feel nothing good from this piece, it is like my hope is slowly degrading the longer I listen, almost as If something bad is happening and my very existence is too insignificant to stop it. I guess that was the composers intention. Simply beautiful.
Apparently two of the people who own the rights are not talking to each other which is preventing 28 Months Later being made. Looks like they contracted the rage virus also.
There needs to be a 28 months later, even if it isn't the same people, it could be told from other europeans point of view since it spread to mainland Europe at the end of 28 weeks later. Or it could be told from British or Americans in europe. (so it can be in English, and make since to be in English)
IronEd636 Well, "28 Weeks Later" was released about five years after "28 Days Later," and I do not think that people would want to wait twenty-eight years for a new sequel.
Dam if there was a game based on 28 Days Later, that game would have cool a fantastic story line.Just seeing fast zombies running to you, absolute nightmare, finding weapons in the game are rare, free roaming around the ruins of this country. That would be a cool thing...It's just nobody will ever make it..*S A D F A C E*
Droplet101 I mean a zombie game with little to no weapons doesn't sound fun unless they go for "You can't kill them you can only run" like outlast tho I'm not sure how that would work
The rage virus is easily the scariest possible thing that could potentially happen. What it turns people into is even scarier. Just like Virals in Dying Light, I hear their screams and then mine follow closl behind as I run away.
At any moment a virus could mutate and we'd all be fucked.. If evasive measures weren't taken in Africa, the whole continent could have had a Ebola epidemic.. Viruses don't care about race, age, property lines, all they care about is infect, bred, repeat. This song gives me the chills because every day is a precious gift, and we shouldn't squander it with pettiness. I wouldn't want to live without wifi and netflix so fuck surviving the apocalypse.
Well, viruses might not "care" about race, but I'm pretty sure it's possible for a virus to affect various races and ages differently. Might even be possible to genetically manipulate a virus to the point where it only affects certain people. Now, that's a scary thought.
Biological warfare is the next step my friend.. and no one should ever think that they are safe.. Our own (Us) government has experimented on us before..
