I'm so proud for Tim & his ability to be so charitable he's willing to have guests with a lower level of intellectual prowess compared to him and entertain their small ideas.
Tim has quickly became one of my favorite people to listen to. He's not afraid to ask questions, poke fun, speak some truth and say something ridiculous with a straight face.

This is a perk of being a comedian, you can say what everybody thinks but in a funny way so you dont offend the other person. I would just bluntly say "Bullshit! Get the fuck out You simple??"
No, it's opposite, Lex keeps himself grounded by establishing he's *NOT that amazing, he's not so intelligent, he lacks in general areas, and Tim feeds that ego by saying he interviews impressive individuals and blah blah blah

You hit the nail on the head with the only issue I have with Lex. He hasn't had to deal with actual stupid people for his whole adult life, and instead is only exposed to intelligent and kind people. That's 90% a good thing, but everyone needs at least a little exposure to stupid people to understand why the world is where it is. Lex often expresses (often meaning every single episode of his podcast) his bewilderment of evil and terrible things people do, whereas every Tim podcast episode is like "Well no sh** everything's terrible. Most people out here are F***ED UP".
Tim black pills Lex... the next Lex Podcast he comes out with shades on, a cigarette, and is sniffling a lot... "This is a conversionation..." The next Tim Podcast, Tim comes out with a hospital wristband and looks solemnly into the camera "Good evening and welcome to the Tim Dillon Show. I have done something terrible..."
I love clean shaven Tim, dressed to (his) aces to impress Lex. Precious. I also love when Tim gets to do more serious stuff because he has very interesting takes most of the time!

Tim is far more intelligent and intellectual than he puts off to be. The more you watch and listen you realize how well read he is and it makes him a great interviewer. Great podcast.
And somehow Tim read that many books, but only went a year to a community college. Also, how did he keep reading, and retaining what he read, while that drunk and after snorting that many lines?? In all his rants against his mom, I think he forgot about the thousands of hours she helped along his education. Or maybe his dad, when his fingers grew tired of strumming his guitar, discussed these matters of high import to our pig?? Who knows, but he picked up that stuff somewhere.
Heh Tim knows where the edges in humor are and intentionally relishes in being a sharp one, exactly like Theo. Edgy humor seems to be one of few cornerstones the west has left.
@@tarico4436 Yeah in my experience not every hungry mind ends up timing it well with academic options. My mother is a schoolteacher & I only work in sales however I read alot & it does help with my commissions. Took me a long time to get interested in learning. The act of reading stimulates the memory itself. With Tim the addition of good cocaine may have triggered that memory skill development & some OCD with books haha.

By that I mean, I live in the UK and so I've never heard of Bucky's but Tim can go from Elon Musk to Bucky's in only a handfull of words and instantly I know what Bucky's is like AND the people who eat those potato chips. He is an expert at using comedy to make something completely unknown into a multi layered experience.
its Buc Cee's and its amazing but its really only a texas thing. The rest of the country doesnt have it except for a few other southern states in the same region. I was stationed in texas for 2 years and i miss it. Imagine a gas(petrol) station/conviencence store but one the size of a Tesco(i know u prob dont have walmart in the UK lol). Their like 50 pumps for petrol and the bathrooms have like 50 urinals its wild. Its literally the most american institution ive ever seen and ive lived here my whole life lol.

It was really refreshing to hear Lex reflecting and opening up: he is a very selfless podcast host and always stays focused on the guest. I applaud Tim for making him feel comfortable enough to openly share, what a treat - these are two of my favorite people!

Tim Dillon is actually intelligent as hell. I think it gets overshadowed by his sly comedic interjections. But he explains social phenomena very well, in ways I hadn't thought of and make perfect sense.
Tim’s break down of the global financial crisis on History Hyenas is by far the most succinct and concise, no BS, jargon-free summary I have seen. It’s a level of insight yet simplicity that most professors could only dream of achieving.
He may respect him but he certainly didn't show it with the way he kept interrupting him. The poor guy couldn't finish a thought and it was painful to listen to.

I really have respect for Tim Dillon. He really has a strong sensitivity for lies and that manifests itself beautifully in his humor. That poem at the end has had me laughing for days 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tim was a child actor, he's been a salesman (at one point in a scam industry), and he's come up through places like New York (where he was once a tour guide) and LA, and he's in comedy, where everyone is largely fake and full of mental issues. If anyone can sense BS, it's a realist forged from suffering with his background.
no, just a bad production decision. messes up the eye lines of the two people talking. if you watch on a phone, it's less noticeable. could have edited it to cut between two faces but that's work and it's not like this podcast makes over 100k a month.
Very few of the biggest podcasters have really experienced a tough life. They struggled in the beginning as we all do but there is a reason why their podcasts are so big. If the ordinary guy in the street starts a podcast like these, no oke would listen. So they absolutely have a head start.
It’s a great mix when these two talk. You have one highly perceptive, sophisticated, well spoken, articulate, brilliant thinker… and Lex is pretty good too
i love how these two interact. their personality's and podcasting styles are so different but you can tell they have good enough chemistry that its fun to watch.

Exactly, as intelligent as Lex is he just seems to be arguing to argue. He doesn't want to ruin the opportunity to interview the elites. Even if it means turning a blind eye to all the fucked up shit they get caught doing. The fact he truly believes that Epstein acted alone is asinine. He admits that he is not that well-read on the topic yet chooses weird hills to die on.
Hes very naive. Willful ignorance so he can remain happy. He will get stronger as he ages. He also works for government and elite companies which is controlling his speech.
I need one of these every week. This combination of personalities is the perfect podcast. Tim brings the cynicism and comedy, Lex brings thoughtful optimism. DO THIS EVERY WEEK PLEASE

I love this duo. Lex with his views butting up against Tim's creates such an interesting dichotomy. They truly seem to have different views of reality, but in exploring the other's views they manage to help other people find their own. It is heartfelt enlightenment. Thank you for doing these!
I’ve loved Tim’s comedy and style for a little minute now but until I listened to Lex interview him a week or two ago from the first time he had him on I didn’t realize how incredibly intelligent he is. He will go down as one of the greatest and I hope he gets the notoriety and fame that he seeks...that was incredible to hear how absurdly quick witted and not tiring he was to listen to.

Thank you Tim! I'm so tired of hearing people on upper rungs of society telling everybody that they can't be or aren't actually happy unless they are chasing some "dream". Just sell your house! Just move away! Just take all the money you have that keeps you from being homeless and throw it all at a dream job! You aren't happy unless you are like us! Oh, whoopsy! You failed and are homeless now? Guess you didn't dream hard enough! Fuck off with that shit. I did that dream chasing shit for years and all it did was make me fucking miserable. The percentage of people who succeed at that is so low compared the amount of people in this country. You know what made me realize that I could be happy? Stop pretending that I needed to be something incredible to be happy! I work at decent job, yeah it's demanding on me physically, but it pays my bills. I live a minimal lifestyle because buying shit never filled the void. I am happy when I enjoy a cup of coffee and a nice breakfast I've made on my day off. I'm happy when I watch my children learn to do something, like read. Like Tim stated, I'm happy when I pay my bills for the month and have money left over. That dream that Lex, and others, tout is just that. A fuckin dream.
It’s surprising just how naive Lex is. Most super successful people are random outlier. Athletes and some academics may be an exception. The rest are talented, but there are millions or super talented people. Joe Rogan is a stage performer - Lex’s attraction to him is simple to explain

Having a slight grasp on Tim's mind I am sure Lex's pauses and uncertainties when answering a question genuinely was eating at him, like he just wanted to talk and have dialogue but Lex was being respectful in answer his questions earnestly and honestly. Seeing two intelligent people in different realms of intelligence in the same conversation is wild.
Absolutely. Love the chemistry. On paper they couldn't be more different, aside from both being podcasters who hang out with comedians, but they have a certain understanding and level of mutual respect that's really endearing.
i’m a monthly supporter on patreon of Tim Dillon. He earned my interest for his ability to be the same person as his sincere self vs his comedic voice. He honestly is someone a lot of guys in the throws of addiction look to for inspiration. To laugh at the truth of it all is a tragic beauty. Tim is a guy who is trying and has lived enough to know what is and isn’t worth striving for. Bravo pig 👏
The main difference between Lex and Timmy boy is that while Lex takes a scientific/reserved or romantic approach in his evaluations of the human condition, Tim is a masochist that dives into the crab bucket feelers first emerging only to report back his findings 😂 Both points of view are very important

They are both some of the best at their 'hobbies' and also are great communicators. @rik michael neither of them were born rich, successful, or famous, so they aren't privileged. No doubt both of them have probably had their fair shares of luck to get them to where they are now, but calling it privilege does violence to the English language.
This format of podcast videos, where both the guest and interviewer are visible at the same time is great. They should make this standard across all podcasts.
Hes the best. Very smart and actually understands logic and facts. Lex lives in a false reality. AI is not intelligent, its very simple. 1 or 0 is all it can choose from. The programmer has to program everything it can do. Just like university educated people, they tend to be DUMB but they know data. They are incapable of THINKING, they simple follow rules and memorization. Hence why they believe in Faucis lies. Many are learning a horrible lesson as we speak.

Lex is a potted flower, grown up in a home and raised by a brilliant family and given massive opportunities. It was good to see Tim try to straighten him out when he started with the "People should just quit their jobs and do what they enjoy" crap.
I really enjoyed my job. Unfortunately it was taken away by an authoritarian state and finding a new job that was equal in pay and in the same field. Sure, I can work at any job I want right now, as long as it’s restaurants and retail.

Lex's charm and kind intelligence up against Tim's relentless challenges and absurdist humor. I can't get enough. Especially when Lex is trying to stifle his laughter. Awesome. "Like... Bros..."
This episode makes me realize that Tim Dillon is funny in his own way, it's so clearly missing the regular delivery where he goes deep into extreme ideas and hypotheticals for over the top comedy. His show is truly great because of his unique format where Ben just sits there and giggles, encouraging more outrageous things out of Tim
A few decades before most of those reading this comment were born there was a guy named Johnny. He had a side kick named Ed. About all Ed would do is chortle. Ben performs a similar function for Timmy.

He was trying to imitate Tim. When he says something reasonable and follow it with an absurd statement in the same monotone voice. It just didn’t come as naturally as it does for Timmy.
