@@MudPuppyOffroad ya it's unfortunate I have only heard of one guy that makes them and he only make a like a 15% and 54% if I remember correctly and u have to send him most of the motor
I’ll take one to go please. Miss my old 300. Mine had just a 2” lift with 27” vampires snorkeled. Not to good in thick mud but I nicknamed it the submarine.
Hi mud puppy I was wondering if u could help me with my four wheeler problem I have a 2019 honda rancher and it has an electrical problem I turned, the key on and the dash went on for a second and then it went blank. All the fuses are good where should I look to troubleshoot this.
THOSE ARE SILVERBACKS THAT HONDA 300 CSNT HANDLE BLACK MAMBAS EVEN WITH THE BIGGEST GEAR REDUCTION....I FIND IT FUNNY ASS HELL THESE GUYS ON 60S RIDDING .2MPH WITH A 200% REDUCTION GOING NOWHERE.
Id love to come tear it up with you guys on my can am outlander 650 2007 if you wouldnt mind. I dont know if you've ever been to river ranch but its a good time out there with some really good trails
Even though it’s got swamp water halfway up the motor I’ll still bet that it’s close to 400 degrees You should get a heat laser gun.You will be surprised at how hot it’s getting
Hey Mud Puppy, i know this video is a month old but my Fourtrax 300fw started making a clanking noise in the front of the quad when i slow down on the road back to my house. It doesnt do it when im on dirt though. do you know what could be the problem? It also jumps a bit in the front when it clanks. Thanks for the help. Im asking because i have no idea what it could be and dont want to rip my front driveshaft apart or transfer case and ruin it. I did replace CV axles all together but still happens..
Ride like s*** brutal on the drivetrain way too heavy way too aggressive. But nothing really cleans out as well The giant lug spacing is key perfect clay. Would not recommend any of the other sizes though
Are there any times u wish u didn’t install the front locker? Maybe twisty trails needing 4x4 cuz of the turning? I’m in New England so I don’t know if the disconnect would be a fix on our rocky hilly trails. I loved the selectable front my old grizzly had. The 300s are just cool as fuck and always wanted one then scored one with a plow for $800!!
Mud Puppy I figured it was like a Detroit locker but sometimes I need 4x4 on tight twisty hills and figured it would push the front end too much and not want to steer. If I ran mud only I’d absolutely do the locker! Badass 300 you go there!!
@MudPuppyOffroad yes you do extrenely hard to turn in 2wd with the front locked constantly. Don't lie to this man both front tires are locked together...
@Das_Brute it does exactly that this guy has no rising experience....the front tires stay locked together so you turn left your right tires locked and slide backwards instead of rolling this guy has 0 common sense. There hard as hell to trn even in just 2wd sitting still. The 2 front tires will always fight each other. You can fab up wletric steering but the 400 is do weak i coulsnt atand rising trailer even with all the teduction you have to stay in 1st or 2nd....
@@mrrod3004 you really are dumba$$, aren’t you? It’s torq locker, which means when one wheel start spinning it *locks* unlike a spool locker that is always locked in clearly you’ve never driven with one of them
4wd to 2wd is a modified front drive shaft that you buy for $200 some and you take your stock one out and put the new drive shaft and the switch and cable come with it that bolts onto the drive shaft
