Nice & Easy fix Mon Ami..... Cam 1 sounded a lot better than the Sneaux ball LOL .... Cam 2 sounded a lot like Cam 1 and Cam 3 sounded like Sneaux ball a lil bit .... That power supply in the counter was a straight out simple one.... That unit has almost a no demand steady current , so a simple supply is more than adequate .... Take care Mon Ami....

Hi Buddy, I like the audio on the first cam better and the video is nice and clear. The "snowball" mic is very weak and I have to turn up the volume to hear you and that one. Happy New Year!

Seems like camera 1 has the best audio to me. I really enjoy your videos. It’s very interesting to see how you track down the problems. Please keep making them.

Thanks for another great video. Now we know what to do when the decimal is missing. Always find some of those frequency counters at flea markets around here. Camera 1 is great but the sound was down a bit.

Appreciate that Lyle. I have some tricks for the low audio on the mics.

Nice fix Buddy. I've used the lowly and inexpensive 2N3904 to fix many circuits that called for a different transistor. Picture looks good to me and also want to mention that most screen capture software will allow you to use the mouse cursor as a pointer. :)

Thanks Doug. As with all my videos this was unscruipted and on the fly so I learned a few trick on the way. I now know how to add the mouse cursor so you guys will see it.

Cam 1 for the audio was fine, another webcam to consider is the Hikvision DS-U02, I just picked up a couple of them and they are a wider angle then the C920/C922 cameras, I have now swapped them with the C922 I had on my bench views as they look better and have a fixed focus (no hunting or focus issues that the C922 have), I haven't tried the audio on them though as I use a Samson Go Mic and Saramonic mic for my live streams (my recorded videos are all through my Canon EOS-750D DSLR built in mic)

As always appreciate you feen back Scott. I will look into those cams. Thinking of a headset mic that is wired, hate wireless stuff.

This counter looks barely used. Very nice repair job, Buddy. I like camera 1 audio best. Camera 2 the audio level is very low. Camera 3 audio level is also a bit low and it sounds tinny. Thanks for sharing it with us. 73 de K7RMJ Frank

Hi Buddy Happy New Year! I do like your new camera setup. As far as the audio is concerned the first mic sounded good. I don’t believe you have any background noise interference so it sounds good. I’m watching on my 70 inch living room tv

Nice repair. Having the zoom on the overhead is much better. There is a lot of variability between the different camere mics, maybe you could try a lapel or head mic? You probably already know, but you can add audio source to the cameras when you create a source in OBS to avoid forgetting to select the mic when you switch. You can also add other stuff like text overlays
@TheRadioShop
@TheRadioShop Год назад
Thanks Alan for that comment. Yes I found that as I already shot video that had no audio.

Nice fix Buddy. Isn't it pleasant when a transistor is actually bad and replacing it fixes the problem? Camera 1 has the best audio for sure. I have been using OBS for a good while now and it does offer a lot but if you are anything like me I get involved in the repair and forget to switch the scene back and end up with a long part of the video just staring at a schematic or something. One other thing on OBS and a bunch of video sources, I found that disabling the source when not in use goes a long way in allowing you to have a lot of cameras to choose from. They come back to life pretty quickly when you choose them.

I’ve noticed some frequency counters read all zeros with no signal applied to their input. Others have a Radom display until a signal is applied to the input. The manufacturer say’s this is normal in literature. Why do some show zero’s while others show random digits?
@bblod4896
@bblod4896 Год назад
It's nice when you get a relatively easy repair. Is the timebase in an oven? The Sony worked great. The small cams will probably work well for close in angles. That counter will be a nice addition to the bench.

Bring the Blue microphone closer to your mouth and it will be better. The other microphones are more sensitive but they pickup background noise.

Hi, i must admit the way you explain your troubleshooting is brilliant..my sole interest is aligning and repairimg older am/ssb cb radios...i was wondering if you could do a video on how accurate an Ocilloscope has to be to service/align am/ssb cb radios? As it is very hard here in Australia to find a technician with the appropriate test eqiptment to perform a complete alognment on CRT scopes, can this accuracy be tested with the standard sig gen, frequency counter and multimeter for just cb tuning? Thanks in advance. 73
