Amazing collection of figures. I have completely agree with the sentiment regarding the ease at which Perry figures paint up as I have painted 500 odd and still feel like doing it all again for the Italian Wars,
Lovely collection. The flags & bases really unify the different manufacturers despite being slightly different sizes. This is such a colourful period one could be tempted to pick it up again after many years.
It was one of the first periods I ever did in 15mm back in the day. Its been a joy to do it again. By keeping the same manufacturers in the same unit I think it works
Excellent job. I do the same with bases. Marching figures for instance have a standard base depth but presenting to fire, especially with fixed bayonets, get deeper stands. Never had a problem in a game and it saves bending the weapons.
Fantastic collection of lovely looking units, we need to see more of your projects! Well presented, informative and very good camera work. Even a mention of Peter Gilder, excellent 👍👍
Thanks very much, I am new to the video thing and sometimes forget to do one for each project. More coming up. Will try and do 1 Troops on Parade feature each month 👍
A lot of really hard work and hours at the painting table there. Everything is stunning. Figures, bases, flags, all really well done. Thank you so much for sharing your collection!
Hi Stuart, many thanks for the kind comments. The army does indeed represent, in part, the Army of Cesare 👍 there are later units in there too from the Warrior Pope Julius II.
These are superb. Ive been following your progress in the challenge and has been a big inspiration for my Italian wars army. Although even with various Airbrush cheats I can't paint half as fast as you...
Inspired me when I saw your army, as I was just starting out on the same. Could you do a video on your basing technique, or advise what the grey basing material is? Many thanks, Ian Legg
Hi Ian, if you have a look at the Tutorial below the basing bit starts around 1hr.30. This is a desert base but the technique is the same just change the colour for the base to Miniature Paints Earth Brown and drybrush Vallejo Iraqi Sand ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WJo7TNv1ZuA.html
Many thanks do you mean away from the table ? In that case as I have my own games room they don't often go anywhere. I store them in "Really Useful Boxes" I line the bottom of the box with card and then put wooden dividers in to seperate the units and stop them from being moved around when carried. The figures themselves are mounted 8 to a base so all the units in this video are only 6 bases 👍
I have thanks, this video is a couple of years old now and the army has had lots more added to it, including some Steel Fist 👍 like you say, great miniatures
Excellent stuff Ken. Have heard you talking about this on the podcast. Inspiring stuff. Need to finish a load of Napoleonic stuff for CrackCon 2. Then I might have to indulge,
Cheers Steve, the video is a couple of years old now and the army has grown a bit since. If you are at Crack Con 2 you will get to see the Army in the flesh 👍
@@YarkshireGamer Stunning. Can't wait. Been listening to podcast from day one and was part of the big Napoleonic game at CrackCon last year. Definitely a fan of big games
Just found your channel. These guys look fantastic. You should get more than a few good games out of these. Hopefully lots more vids like this to come. 🤞
Abbbbbbbbbbbbbbsolutly superb, what a splendid army, command stands are awesome and rare, colorful and beautiful units, great painting and basing...What's not to like? 👍👍👍
Excellent video and a beautiful army! With you 100% on the deep front bases and the measuring comment. Looking forward to seeing more from you. Subbed too.👍
Thanks, this video is about 3 years old, you get better as you do more, this was one of my first videos, its very popular so I'm not going to delete it just because I've got better at making videos. We all start somewhere.
