Catholics in India are celebrating an important anniversary. EWTN Hungary traveled to the South Asian nation to examine the life and death of a religious sister who was murdered in late February 1995. 28 years ago, Blessed Rani Maria, an Indian nun and missionary to the villages, died after being stabbed 54 times by assassins. Sr. Rani Maria was part of the Franciscan Clarist Congregation and served in North and Central Indian. She dedicated her life to serving the poor. Today, over 800 children attend the school she once founded. According to her sisters, Sr. Rani was a voice for the oppressed.
