Ian, you could try the tyre trick for the water bucket, there are a few different size tyres lurking around the farm that might do the trick. Lay tyre flat and put the filled bucket in the center hole, seen em used with horses a lot. What about building a pen where you keep the straw for the next pregie one, then she will be next to her herd.

Came as a surprise when left channel sound suddenly appeared around 6:40 ! Made me jump, as had binge watched several videos with no sound on L channel. But the clip that started after your coffee break was back to R channel only. I only mention this in case it helps you get to the base of the problem, not as a winge!

We have just had 2 similar surprises to you. Before Terry was sold he must have served two of his daughters and here we are with 2 nice surprises. Sorry to hear about your 3 calves. It is bad when you lose them through bad husbandry but your husbandry is 150% so it is even worse when that happens. we were interested in the theory about rich milk in the mothers causing looseness. Sounds plausible for our highland calves who are the same. Hope your TB test goes Ok. Will be thinking of you.

Cocci will rupture at anything over 70C. At this temp you might need to subject the gravel to steam for ~5 to 10 seconds. You may want to consider flaming afterward if you or someone has a backpack weed flame unit.

Nice new calf but not a long term resident. Seems like suppliers don't keep stock of "stuff" that's slightly left field. We are now conditioned to want everything now. Never was like that.

Hi Ian, you talking about steamcleaning the floor in the barn, what about using a weedburning (propan touch) should go deaper than steam and with a higher temperatur and you can “burn” the outside yard to, just a idea i have from removing weed my yard best wishes from John in denmark

For some reason, we in New Zealand, are not receiving any voice commentary, we only hear the music at the very beginning and then silence. Watching the video without any sound isn't very exciting somehow!! All our other youtube subscriptions have sound.

What happens if the other Heifer has a healthy Heifer Calf, would you keep her or sell her for breeding, or would you fatten her, as there may be risks of an inbred cow passing something on, that's not right. One good thing for this year if you get a new bull, and he gets one of the younger stock pregnant, while waiting around for TB testing, there should not be any risks since it won't be her father.
