This is a great video for kids that grew up without a Dad like i did, helps them learn from a nice patient person that they may not have in their life...ur son wont take these moments for granted many of us would of killed for this time 💯👍🏾👌🏾

Hi, I got a 29" GT 4130 Street Performer, and I have noticed it has the V brake mounts pointing outwards instead of inwards as in your example. Were they ever made with the mounts pointing outwards to the rear? It carries the camo paint.

OK, so I tried to look this up... But 4130 is cromoly and the street performer is aluminum, has a disc brake, no v brake mounts and gears. SO... I am lost. You must have some older model?

How is the bike as is from factory? If you left it as is, is there a problem with things causing the need to upgrade or change things? I’ve been looking at these and I’m not one to add or change things so is GT putting out a bike that’s not up to par in quality and performance or what?

Hi! The bike is good out of the box, but we did do upgrades that are higher quality parts - longer lasting or personal preference. Tires are something that would be a pretty good idea, but other than that, you'll be good out of the box. Might be able to find one for $299 if you look.

hey I was just wondering if the 29" is big enough for someone that is 6'3. I'm looking into the bike and want to make sure I'll fit.

For sure. Try a GT and a Big Ripper to get a feel for bottom bracket height if you want.

I ended up putting the performer handlebars on my interceptor last week, and that was a huge difference. I really didn’t know what to expect, but I understand now why guys kept suggesting it at rideouts.

Nah. You might like the feeling of the 26 but if you’re going to ride with friends 29‘s probably the way to go if that’s what they are riding.

Thanks for sharing! Not sure what video editing software you are using but try and see if you can change your audio from stereo to dual mono. Right now with your DJI mics, one person is on the left channel and one person is on the right, since you are recording both mics at the same time into the receiver. If you can change to dual mono, then your audio for both of you will come out of both speakers. And maybe your dad is right about the old guys liking Grfiters.....I have them on my Monster Quad!

Thanks bro. By the time we noticed, all the recording had been done. It’s a stinking button on the mic receiver. I was going to mix it in the stereo, but I got lazy you got me. 🙈

Yo fam, I have that same bike and made similar upgrades ( went with the other GT sprocket , black gt power series cranks , mid school gt peddles) soon the 4pc handlebars. Nice bike!

Thanks! I like your icon, I’ve got that sticker on my helmet. I have that sprocket and cranks on the interceptor, it was a hard choice. I had to get two bikes so I could put a sprocket on each of them and have both.🤓

Since we were changing the crank, we thought we might as well swap it to a sealed bottom bracket. The factory one was just fine.

I may not be understanding correctly, but when you attach the crank, there is a bolt that secures the sprocket to the crank

in the description, the amazon link is showing 170mm instead of 175 mm for the crankset so which did you use?

Nice upgrades! I got my 24" Pro Series a couple weeks ago and I love it. I finally got to ride it this week. I want to put the tall GT 4-piece handlebars and new bottom bracket first thing when I get a chance.
