Beating a IM in Chess is something different. It can cure depression, can boost a pride and energy. Some people would think they have a potential to be a GM, some people will think they are the best. *For Hikaru, beating a 20 IM in streak is a daily habit.*
It’s hard watching other chess streamers after watching Hikaru. They lose so often and make such bad mistakes. They also can’t play and talk as much as Hikaru. Plus Hikaru gives his own play by play. It’s crazy.
Man can't believe his brain runs 100x quicker than mine the move he calculates in a split second I gotta see the whole board for 2mins only then I get it
I believe chat’s opinion was that he’s responsible for the increase in chess popularity because he has the biggest RU-vid channel. It’s a very single-minded comment given all the work everyone else does.
It all started when Levi said he was quitting competitive chess and not trying to go for gm. Hikaru was disappointed and lost respect for Levi + Levi fans and their uncles are in Hikaru's chat annoying him with all the Levi questions and comments. They are now in negotiations with Netflix for a 6 episode drama miniseries about the whole thing. Although, it is unlikely to materialize because Hikaru insists on performing all the stunt scenes himself.
The rook is pinning the bishop , and the bishop is threatening the black queen. Black wants to keep the queen on the board since hes behind in material
I think I know. If he captures the queen with the rook after he gets checked, they end up trading queens. However, if he escapes the check and lets his rook get captured, he know he has a fork on the next move, getting back the rook. It's basically a decision between trading rooks or queens. If you're losing you'd rather trade less material so it was probably the right choice.
later in the video he explained that if he took his queen then Hikaru would take their queen, but the queen was already hanging and he couldve gotten a free queen?
@@Luke-pp7rm as bishop is pinned to the king hikaru moves his queen to c8 and if the opponent took with rook then it would unpin the bishop and bxc2 would be exchange
