This legend was so outspoken with his words and music that people in power just couldn't digest all of that. Sidhu was extremely angry over the current political system in India. He has highlighted various issues from Indian media playing completely in the hands of the government, and saying things that government wants people to hear. Bans and forcing him to not to speak on the issues of Punjab and how government had been doing nothing about the state. The way current Indian system plays on communal disharmony, and he clearly hints at this being a ploy of those in power in India. Many people believe that he was murdered on the orders of the central government, but of course, the investigation will never happen, the findings will never see the light of day.

Moosewala has never openely supported a separate Khalistan, he only condemned some of the govt policies within his right. Please don't pay heed to these people in comments who never do a thorough research but only are pawns of political games played by parties to divide our nation.

*For some context* Khalistan is a Sikh nationalist separatist movement that has been dead all over the world for past 40+ years, and only operative in "woke" countries like Canada. Khalistanis demanded creation of Sikh homeland within India, based on some loose and flawed assumptions on erstwhile Sikh Empire. Khalistanis recieved fund from Pakistan, who were hell bent on "bleeding India with 1000 cuts" after Indians separated Bangladesh. Sikhs have always been adventurers and soldiers. Of all Indian communities, Sikhs have the most %age of people living abroad as diaspora. Khalistanis began sourcing money from some such Sikhs, and started radicalising Punjabi youth. Punjab was in a deep state of trouble by 80s, due to flawed gun laws and ignorance of govt. to Khalistani activities. Begin 80s, enter Jaspreet Bhindranwale, a charasmatic Sikh guru who some even referred to as the last Sikh saint(lol). Just the fire this movement needed. This man was very articulate the way he spoke, choosing words carefully, yet radicalising youth with hatred and violence. Surprisingly, this man even got his defenders living today, who still say he was innocent(lol). Cut forward, Punjab is on fire. Violence everywhere. A general emergency is declared and Indian army is deployed. Army captures and kills Sikh miscreants, and unfortunately, just like any warfare, many innocent civilians die. Bhindranwale seeks refuge inside Golden temple. The then PM Indira Gandhi orders army to enter Golden Temple. Bhindranwale was killed, but this decision hurt sentiments of Sikhs worldwide. Months later, Indira Gandhi was assasinated by her own Sikh bodyguards. Then emerged a period of Hindu Sikh riots, when some 80000 Sikhs were massacared. Khalistani movement went underground since then, mostly operating from Canada, UK and Australia. And this Moosewala was a Khalistan sympathiser
