And that’s why schools started the zero tolerance policy to get people to tell a teacher who won’t do shit because they’ll get in trouble if they fight back. The indoctrination relies on teaching kids to go to authority figures to solve their disputes, I’m happy to say for all my bad traits I’m not the least bit hesitant to defend myself so for all the unlearning I need to do at least I have a sense of control over my own physical safety.

Even is school I remember we were all taught about 2A ain terms of hunting and survival, and when we were asked why we support 2A we all said for hunting and survival. I feel like a frog in boiling water after listening to this. Here in Massachusetts we have to register everything we have. Mental health issues and you lose your right. I have literally lied in doctors visits because it sounded like I was being led to conclusion that I would benefit from speaking to a mental health professional. If they pass a law that restricts our rights further they know exactly where and what I have. We even have to register with the town we live in. If you move you have a limited amount of time to reregister. I heard a story from a friend that his buddy forgot he had his licensed concealed firearm on him and he crosses the border into Connecticut. He got stopped for something like a light out and went to prison because he transported over state lines. Keep up the work you do because this was all starting to feel too normal to me. I will be writing my congressman today.

SCOTUS was wrong making a ruling that the firearm has to be "common" in order to be protected. ALL arms are protected, whether they are in common use or not. It doesn't make any sense to say that a firearm has to be used by an X amount of the population in order to be obtainable and usable. There's a multitude of different items in this world that are probably not of common use and are still used and not touched by law. So why are firearms any different? Unless you make the argument that all firearms are of common use to defend against tyranny, and in that case, that makes sense. The founding fathers made the 2nd Amendment a blanket for all arms, regardless of the capability of the arms, or the prevalence of the arms amongst the people. So until such time SCOTUS pulls their head outta their rears and says that, they're no one to count on.

Militia's, at least in Florida, are illegal. There is no way to get information out, gather the masses, plan any kind of defense, without getting jailed by the FBI or Homeland Security and tossed in jail. How the heck can you start a group to discuss the issues, much less a civil war, without getting arrested as a Domestic Terrorist??? We're screwed!

John, I’m a Bible college grad who became an entrepreneur I wanted to be a soldier but I was called to a different battle. Guys like me want to run for politics, but don’t honestly believe we would have the support of guys like you. It’s because the whole process is messy, but necessary. So is war, you know that. I’d be jumping in the trench for you- not knowing if or how I’d make it out, just like you did for us. I don’t like writing my politicians but have been consistent in doing so for about 4 years now. It works but it’s not enough. This country needs to be swarmed in every voting precinct with people like us running for office- aggressively. So much so that the media is unable to keep up with smearing us all...LIKE A HIVE OF BEES 🐝 Too many of us have been unwilling to sacrifice anything

a good and easy way ive found to reach out to representatives is through national write your congressman. its a membership based service that breaks down bills about to be voted on, gives you the meat and potatoes of the bill. Then goes further and helps you write and format a letter to the representatives that you fall under (the system pulls them up automatically based on your address). It also breaks down how your reps voted on issues so you can track accountability

It is important that we SPEAK UP. We need to be more vocal. That involves having intelligent discourse with those around you. At this point you NEED to use their tactics against them. Make them defend their stance and use big emotion and a little hyperbole against them. They have gotten really good at this. Like the “why don’t you care about children being shot” arguments. You know.. that shit show.. Use phrases back at them like. “Oh so you’re against concealed carry? That’s disgusting that you want women to be defenseless against rapists! You must want to rape women if you want them defenseless!”

I went shooting with my coworker last summer who is a Democrat and hated Trump (ugh, I shake my head at him). I actually sold him his first pistol, the first gun I had ever owned. He's one of those who isn't into politics, which is fine, but he believes anything the media says unfortunately. But when riots were happening all over this summer? Damn straight he wanted something to help protect his family. Now I just need to get him to pick up an AR. 😯

I was a 2A lazy hunter for to many years. After becoming a youth clay target coach and competitor I decided I needed to become more involved in all things 2A related to help educate and defend our rights not as a competitor but as a citizen that realizes the very reason our forefathers created the second amendment and why it’s the second. Thank you for covering the topic and links. Even though I was a hunter, competitor and coach I never felt confident enough to peruse a CCL as it was a blind subject but through your posts and videos I finally took the leap to educate myself, get instruction and obtain a CCL recently. Keep the good stuff coming we are listening. Thanks again

As soon as I heard of this bill I wrote my representative politicians and expressed my concern about this crazy legislation. This is the first time I have done this an I encourage everyone to take the time to write those we elected to represent us. I have also been vocal about this bill and will continue to talk to anyone about 2A concerns! It's time to act to preserve our God given right!

Virginia, 2020, over 10,000 people showed up to “voice” their concerns and show that they opposed those bills . The state passed them anyway. If that doesn’t prove that politicians don’t care what we the people want , nothing will. “Ideas” will not protect our rights. It’s a nice thought but not realistic.

Absolutely, "arms usual in the regular service," are the type arms primarily guaranteed to the people. We've the right to anything necessary to fight off oppressive government. So, as a minimum, fully automatic weaponry, mortars, shoulder fired anti-tank/aircraft missiles, grenades, C-4 and other explosives, recoilless rifles, etc. etc. If the government has it, we've a right to it; or, as a minimum, to weaponry designed to resist it. "Shall not be infringed," is a Supreme Law INJUNCTION against government Subject Matter Jurisdiction. Furthermore, we have the Right to Self Defense (defense of our Right to Life) and, therefore, we've a right to "arms" suitable for that purpose and to bear them however we like, wherever we go (read the Dred Scott v. Sandford Opinion (1857)!). And, of course, one of the definitions of "arms" besides, "weapons of military utility," is: Any Thing that may be used for offensive or defensive purposes. Then, there's the SCOTUS' own, oft cited, definition of, "to bear arms," (provided by none other than the recent departed Justice Ginsburg by the way), "to carry on or about the body, OR IN THE CLOTHING, OR IN A POCKET, ...," (emphasis mine) (Heller v. D.C. (2008)).

Getting involved politically only works if enough people participate. We absolutely need to come together speak to our “representatives”. This doesn’t happen often yet we still sit around and moan in despair. When your reps phone lines and e-Mail accounts become continuously overloaded they pay attention. This HAS been successful at times. We need to get involved and do this - now!

Thank you John for the common sense approach to opposing gun control. As a GTL (gun toting liberal) it is nice to see these videos from influencers on the right. I don’t always agree with your politics but a couple of your videos lately (this one and ‘Time for Courage’) have made me think that there are people on the right that have the ability to influence and aren’t staying silent in the effort to calm the tensions in this country.

I feel that while fighting for 2A ( on the Defensive) we should simultaneously be fighting to change how bills are brought forward (on the Offensive) as in a bill should only contain a singular event not an omnibus bill style that will NEVER be read or understood in its entirety. I don’t make much money and I am only a high school graduate but I am cursed with common sense which many of our representatives are lacking.

"well regulated" meant "trained" it wasn;t meant to mean "regulated by 5000 lbs of paper regulations. Militia are not S"standing" military units. They were citizens who owned a weapon and could be called upon in time of need. WIthout private firearm ownership the term "militia" has no meaning.

Work locally to have your local county Board of Supervisors make your county a 2nd Amendment sanctuary County! I live in one of two counties ic California who protect our rights. Support your second amendment sheriffs and other elected officials, especially judges. Ask them in public forums when the run for office if they support the 2nd without modifying it, and if they support a 2nd amendment sanctuary county proclamation.

I know the now leftist politician that represents my district doesn't give two shits what my views on the second amendment are. They have an agenda and nothing I or anyone else with my viewpoint says is going to change that. Not to mention we were shown that our votes mean nothing now as well and nobodies going to do a damned thing to stop it, apparently. The last written communication I had with the US Representative for my district, he responded to a letter I'd sent with the opening phrase: "As a representative of the Federal Government, ...." I sent him back a response saying that that was a great example of what was wrong with our government, he thought he was sent to D.C. to represent the Federal Government rather than his constituents back home. I've never heard from him, nor felt need to communicate with him, again. He's what I call a hall mouse scurrying around Congress getting all the pet projects funded for his family, friends and major financial supporters while accomplishing nothing of consequence for his "constituents" back home. America would be better off WITHOUT CONGRESS. The founders should have just stopped with, "Congress shall make no law."
