Favorite line of the video "I was all jazzed up on Naboo stuff". Excellent as always @2bricks! Can I ask if the side panels on the front removable section are on hinges or are they locked in that position? And so happy to hear about the Bad Batch Shuttle MOC!! Kind of disappointed in the official Lego set and was hoping you would improve it :)
Haha thanks 😊 - the front panels are on hinges and can move downward, but not any further upward, so when you pull the lid off the shape stays the same, if that makes sense. And yes, Havoc Marauder for the win!!
So much interior detail. Just wow. When you showed the throne room, I thought: Okay, no cockpit then. But my jaw dropped as the camera panned over to the cockpit. Absolutely amazing.
MY REVIEW... Bought it, built it, love it! It's bigger than you think, folks! As I progressed, I couldn't help but imagine how I would have met the same design challenge, and I soon realized that reaching for that flowing shape is much harder than it looks. Holding this ship in hand makes me appreciate just how much the construction considerations are in service to its playability. This is very much a ship to be played with and this is thoughtfully accomplished in multiple ways. I repeatedly noticed how much care is given in keeping the number of parts to a minimum, just as would be expected from an official LEGO set. The throne room is my favorite, somehow being both grand and cute! It offers forgiveness in substituting certain parts you may not have, and the sleek presence of its display makes me think LEGO really missed the boat on skipping this ship (even w/o the mirror finish). I would also note that it offers extreme swooshability. I know this because I can't stop swooshing it. I have never swooshed so much in my life. Please send help. To sum up, I give it a recommend! Thank you 2bricks for another fun and thoughtful build!
Amazing!!! This comment is getting shared in my discord :D so so glad you enjoyed it so much!! Comments like this are what make all of this worthwhile for me! 😍😍😍
Naboo ships are difficult to pull off without making them extremely fragile. So excited to see your N-1 Starfighter. In the meantime, this Royal Starship looks superb and scales really nicely as a playset. Beautiful!
I’ve gone through almost your whole channel now and I just wanna say a couple of things: 1. Your intro is absolutely amazing. It’s so perfect for a Lego content creator. Very well done on that. 2. Your MOCs are some of the most well-thought out and detailed pieces of art that I’ve seen in the Lego space. Accurate to the design, while incorporating functionality. You’re an artist
Absolutely gorgeous, you captured the details perfectly. I’m always astonished as to how much interior you can fit into these, and I’m excited to see more!
Aww thank you very much :) those folks at lego are incredibly talented and if there was one thing I would love to see from LEGO it would be designers personal builds made into actual sets - like without the normal restrictions on what they can produce - I think that would blow everyone away :)
I don't usually like star wars builds just because I think there's far too many of them but I've not seen this ship done well before so this was refreshing. Really good job! It's not an easy ship to translate into lego
@@2bricks I always assumed they never did it because back when they used proper chrome, the pieces were too blocky to do this ship and now we have better parts for it but no chrome 😐 but yeah man, as far I've seen, yours is the best stab at it! 😊
But... but... I finally completed your Falcon and I was gonna make your T-70 next!! And now you put this temptation in my face?! So unfair! :) Seriously tho, she's a beaut. I might even have recognized it as your work had I just run across it, simply because of your very thoughtful interior. That red blanket is your "Han's golden dice" for this build. I love it. That kind of clever and accurate extra is your signature to me, and you do it again with the warp core. SO MANY smart decisions in reaching for that elusive flowing shape! I've come to really admire builds attempting curved surfaces, and here you thoroughly impress. I could write 400 more words, so I'll stop here and say... keep winning my money!
I absolutely LOVE this MOC it’s extremely beautiful and really creative with the play features, I honestly think this is better than any lego set I’ve ever seen!
Would love to see you tackle the other three Naboo ships we see Padme use in the ST. Those designs are so underrated. Speaking of, do you have the instructions/part list for the micro fleet version?
Thanks!! Your video review of the Harchiroku24 version was actually one of the reasons I was reminded to do this ship after the Naboo N1 was temporarily shelved :D so, thanks!
Very Nice. I never realized the similarities in the Royal ship vs. the Sith infiltrator. Different wings but very similar central shape. Luv to see your great engineering for that ship from the same movie. Great Job, bro!!
Amazing design as always! I love the interior details, looks amazing as a display piece but also has the functionality of a playset. Thanks for making such cool mocs for us! If you could make a hyperdrive ring for your version of the Jedi interceptor that would be awesome! it could be used as a stand/display piece to hold the interceptor. Idk just a suggestion, but I think it would be cool
Looks stellar! Lego will probably never make this ship into a set because if they did it it would have to be crome but I like seeing people's MOCs of this ship!
Wow that is an attractive model! The play features are great and the shape of the ship is astounding! One thing I was waiting for you to point out was how strong those aft engine rod pieces were attached. I’m guessing they’re rock solid as is usual for 2Bricks designs, but that would have been nice to see. Also, I really liked the scroll through comparison at the end of your video between this and your other playscale sets! That’s a really cool way of showing a good comparison across your range of set designs. Keep it going!
Thanks so much K! Yeah the engine rods are nice and sturdy using my typical technic pins and 6- long bar type connections which ensure they stay put :)
Huh, I didn't know that this ship was a silver chromed version of the SR-71 Blackbird. Thats pretty cool. Pretty sure the OT flight suits were based on some other piece of military tech. The common flight helmet was based off a Vietnam APH-6B flight helmet worn by helicopter pilots.
Wow! You are such a creative builder and I really enjoy how you create small references to the movies in all of your builds! You definitely deserve more subscribers. Have you ever thought about sending one of your models to a big LEGO youtuber for a review? I think it's a good idea to get more people to know about your channel. Maybe MandRproductions? Also, I would like to give you some constructive criticism about the background music in this video. I think it was a bit out of place. I can't recall that you've had music in your videos before and I really like that you want to have it in the future (it really makes the vidoes more entertaining) but this just wasn't the tune. Have a good day my LEGO friend!
Soon!! I’m on a little break right now because work is intense for the next few weeks but I’ve already compiled a list of ships for the bad batch season 1 episode of the micro fleet series! Also the arquitens was almost done right before the break so that’ll be coming out as well as a full fleet overview for 2021!
I wanna look into some kind of easy to remove chrome coating that I can use just for fun to be able to take a few pics and then clean off the bricks after. I wonder if that exists
@@2bricks I plan on eventually having a fig scale version of every ship up to a certain point. Capital ships won't be happening obviously cause no space or lottery winnings to be able to make it😂
Can you make me a 17 or 18 stud venator for my nano fleet I'm making venators a my favorite ship but I can never get the shape right. I've make a total of 14 different types of ships including the entire rebel fleet of scarif still need a star destroyer though.
Just the instructions - the pieces would cost significantly more. You can see a rough estimate of the cost for the parts on the rebrickable page though!
Thank you!! I believe last time I checked it was around $100 but the market fluctuates all the time- check the listing on rebrickable in the description and you can get a rough estimate!
I am! Sorry it’s taking a while - things have been inconsistent with my schedule and the serenity is a very scary large build. It’s still ongoing though!
When you buy the instructions you get the parts list there on rebrickable! Actually you don’t even need to buy the instructions first the list is just there! You can export that list to bricklink or your brick provider of choice!
Just don't understand why Lego hasn't made this ship or the follow-up one from Attack of the Clones. How many playscale Falcons have there been 6 or 7 but No Naboo Royal Starships Someone at Lego really must not like the Prequels. Because these ships were amazing looking. So does your Mock.
My micro fleet is something like 1:450 scale if I remember correctly. Smaller than the typical micro scale lego stuff which makes things like cockpits a challenge, but it makes it easier for me to represent far larger ships!
I feel like you are one of the most likely person to become an official deisigner becaus eyou focuss more about the play and less about making it greebly
