Brilliant. Now that is real engineering. Getting 1000 PS from a Bugatti Veyron is peanuts. getting over 50 PS from a Deuche Engine without breaking it is good work.

OK, video quality is poor, but from 3:35 on, real 2CV drivers can hear the "extra" performance. INCREDIBLE! I have driven & worked (on) several 2CV4 / 2CV6, whwn i was young, but this one is pretty fast in acceleration. Far away from actual cars - but really awsome. Well done!

Because it is well built. It was made to run at full power all it's life. The engine can be tuned to 100+hp at up to 9000 rpms. Search for 2cv 24hr racing

Those French made cars are amazing, simple, and plain at the same time. It's ugly, and cute at the same time! That 2 cylinder engine sounds pretty mean, tuned! It's pretty darn quick too!! I wouldn't want to go that fast in a car without modern safety equipment, and those skinny tyres, lol!

Why can we hear the 'toop-toop' comming from non combusted gases? Ignition timming problems due to air Temp? Also, I did not see the CVs through the hole on the side of the engine room (at 1:33); what transmission does it have? When you wrote Smart, is it from the Mercedes "Smart For Two", or just a smart adaptation you mean? Did you increment power O/P with this conversion? Boosted to 0.8 X 14.75 psi = 11.8 psi What about increment in Temp? Using still regular octane (87) gasoline, or LPG? Thnx

Does it really improve? I own a '80 Dyane-6 and the acceleration seems to be the same as yours....

Lol the holes you see in the inner wing, is for the original heater tubes. The shafts emerge down by the chassis. a foot further down. On the unmodified engine you have 2 heatexchangers with a valve each. You could send heated air to the cabin or dumb it in the wheelarches. Thats what the holes are for.

80 or 100...50 is easy. It's a well built engine.

Yes, this is a (worn) original engine, however you need the biggest external oil coiler to keep it cool. It runs fine up to .8 bar of boost, naking about 50hp (estimated)

One shot 60, 1.5 bar of boost for about 15 seconds then engine overheats quickly. 50 over longer periode 0.8 bar in daily use.

Why even bother with an intercooler if you're just going to put it on top of the engine and turbo

3 things: Theres an airscoop in the hood, so theres an airflow. Theres a fan underneath the intercooler, so when airtemo hits 0degrees the fan comes in.. The aircooler comes from a Smart car. Take a look at that and then tell which is more efficient..

bof..ma 2cv 6 spécial roule aussi bien j ai vue que de 60 a 80 je tire aussi vite..je pensé qu avec un turbo tu mettrai 10 secondes a atteindre le 120 compteur..

Uno tiene que acomodar las modificaciones al auto y no el auto a las modificaciones, sino no tendría sentido realizarlas. En un auto como este el objetivo es buscar un mejor rendimiento energético, con una mejora de potencia improporcional a la de consumo. No es tan fácil meterlo en un Fiat, suelen ser motores demasiado comprimidos como para encajarle el turbo así nomás, hay que bajarle la relación de compresión a cifras bien calculadas. Concuerdo en el sentido de que el turbo por si mismo cuesta lo mismo o más que el citröen, pero no vale la pena cambiar una máquina tan bien pensada como lo es el 2cv... En fin, dejo mi humilde comentario y me despido con saludos desde Córdoba, Argentina
