So will be still there the annoying momentum kept by the player jumping and colliding with a wall, if you give it a new physics material with a friction of zero it will have no momentum but it will freeze, I always needed a midpoint
Hi! I wanted to archieve similar performance to Algodoo but I just can't, after a few springs on the same ragdoll are enabled everything goes out of control...
If two rigidbodies are in contact at a certain point, the contact normal is the axis that is perpendicular to the two surfaces at that point. For instance for two spheres colliding, it's the axis going through the center of both spheres.
@@lususnaturae3082 OK, thanks a lot for taking the time and writing this. I would have one more question though: If one sphere were to fall on top of another sphere and both spheres had the same x and z values, would that mean, that the normal of the bottom sphere would return a Vector3 with the following parameters Vector3(0,90,0), because the sphere collides at a 90° angle?
@@reidondiesnatz8131 You can't really say that the spheres collide at a 90 degree angle, because an angle is always in reference to something else. Here, since the two spheres have the same x and z coordinates, it means the normal of the contact will be along the Y axis. This means the normal will be of the form (0,number,0). Normals have a magnitude of 1, so, the normal here would be (0,1,0).
@@lususnaturae3082 thx again so much, you are helping me out a lot. But does the rotation influence the normal. Thus if both spheres were rotated 180 on the x axis, would the normal still be (0,1,0)?
@@reidondiesnatz8131 No, the rotation does not influence the normal, the only thing that can change it is the contact itself, but since it's two spheres here, rotating them does not change the contact. If you need the orientation of the spheres, you're gonna have to get it with their respective transforms but the normal won't help you in that regard.
I like unity... but can you please fix the bugs and update your mobile app (you know, the one where you test you mobile games on the mobile) some people have problems with it.... I have not tried it yet so plz update. Thanks
