This video features Interstate 35 north through Waco, Texas, which is located roughly halfway between Austin and Dallas/Fort Worth. Waco is the county seat of McLennan County and is the home of Baylor University, which is the oldest university in Texas.

Born and raised in Waco. Lived there most of my life. I live in Arlington now. Traveled the I 35 corridor all my life. One thing is for sure. One major project ends.....another will follow.

I've lived in Texas the better part of my career (32 years), as a helicopter pilot, and the I-35 has always been "under construction" !! (Anyone remember Ann Richards ? "That's one tough Grandma") Governor ?

But further North 35 is still construction that part is the worst, and if you go through Fort Worth, to get to Waco it takes 2 hours , and you have traffic.

Waco can't keep up with the growth, in that city, I have seen so many changes over the years, and still . I am from North Fort Worth and drive to see relatives in Waco . But the highway 35 in Waco was opened up before the College kids showed up for school, and it is nice

I live in Waco and I thought that you might like to know that the construction on I 35 is finished. They are only working on the service roads getting them finished and ALL of the lanes are now ope. Not even anymore construction cones and it it more open.

We're zooming though the Waco Metro here! Love hearing the copyrighted music too. & now the one many (including myself been) waiting on- the drive thought the Dallas-Forth Worth Metro!

When driving through this area, I always seem to notice mobile homes and win turbine blades being transported through. The driving behavior is unique.

Long time resident of Waco here. I will literally drive 30 miles out of my way to avoid I 35! Won't even start up about downtown Waco-- the tourists can't understand one way streets.

Drove from southern Texas to Plano a week ago Thursday and it was horrible. Traffic jam in McAllen, Waco and San Antonio. It was horrible

Just imagine the insanity of driving between DFW (south of I-20 for both cities) and Austin as recently as about 10 years ago, when 35 was only 2 lanes each way! The only exception to this was the within the immediate city limits of Waco, where you could briefly enjoy 3-lane 35 for about 10 miles!

Been here 50 years, they have never not worked on the interstate… soon as they widen a lane, they put concrete barriers up and start another lane… why not just build 7 lanes from the beginning…
