08 Massey 5455 with Krone turbo 2900 silage wagon lifting second cut silage. Weidemann 4070 buckraking. Also Massey 4255 raking at some points. Taken a few weeks ago in early July.
Nice clean tidy well shown and looked after farm and equipment you have there... I know the forage wagon isn't for everybody but it seems to fit the tractor and system you have very well and no doubt at low running cost ...Great video
Gary Kavanagh We keep it well serviced and use a full set of knives that we sharpen for each cut. If you’re looking at one make sure all the bearings, chains and pickup reel r tight and spin freely. Also the hydraulic motor for the floor chains. We have a few issues with the back door twisting during the silage and it doesn’t always lock back in when emptying but it’s easy to straighten. Also see if the drum and pickup reel are kept well greased as they can wear there too. The bogey axle should be kept well greased too. There’s more too look for than that but those are some of the main elements that if left neglected can let you down in the field. We’ve had it 10 years now and we keep on top of it and any small items that broke with age were replaced. Hope this helps
