That's a nice bit of gold for the time spent. Nice bunch of fossils too. I saw a rugose coral in that slab. It's roundish with thin blades radiating out from the center to the edge. Interesting but mostly useless fact: Crinoids still exist and play an important part in coral reef development. Crinoids can grow in mud, but coral needs a solid foundation. The dead crinoids form that solid foundation. So as the oceans warm, and some reefs die off due to temps, crinoid colonies in cooler waters to the north are now the building blocks for new coral reefs.
