Voiceplay always does. The last year, after J-None left on deployment and they have brought in several cycles of new voices, they always work hard to let the new singer shine. Yes, if they had just been the 5 it would probably have come closer to what we know now, but they were not ready to do that yet. I can only imagine what the sing-off would be like if they were competing now, although it would not be the same as a truly amateur group.
That's more like it Voice Play! I think this song just suits Honey's voice more than the last one. The arrangement was better, the harmonies were a lot stronger, and the percussionist really laid the beat down
This should stop all the nay sayers. This was incredible to me. I got party immediately. The dancing was great and I love Honey's vocal chops. She's got soul B+
Honestly, I can see why they didn't make it far that year. While they're all extremely talented singers and they were in time and stuff, they didn't seem "together." Like, from a technical standpoint, yes, but they weren't in the music, and I think that's why other groups got farther and why Home Free ended up winning that year. Every song they did they were super tightly knit together. VoicePlay just doesn't give off that energy.
Voice Play has a video on their RU-vid channel illustrating (with a twinkie, no kidding, seriously) how they prepared for the ultimate sing-off battle. Highlight of their performance was Honey's rap.
they're best performance ever, i can sing high like in Earl's range, but only in falsetto (head voice) Earl did it in chest voice which is like really hard to do for a lot of guy singers love the acting too, i repeat best performance from them
The two lead guys both have baritone speaking ranges which is funny, and they can both countertenor but the blonde one is naturally a falsetto guy. Remember not to get head voice and falsetto mixed up, head voice has some connection to your chest, but I get what you mean.
Chris Koraltan it's cool, they kinda come from the same place and are difficult to tell apart. Like I thought Sam Smith used a lot of falsetto, but if you listen to love you like I can and that's all headvoice which is super crazy! He could basically slide up to the top notes from the bottom in his range without breaking into falsetto, but it does get very light and nasal which helps make it powerful. If you like, you can Google anything you wanna know. Sorry for saying too much it's how I talk when I'm interested!
+HeyJoJoTF2 Earl can sing an insane chest voice... Up to E5 or F5. He's nearly an alto. His falsetto actually doesnt go much further; only up to an Eb6. This song does use his head voice, but he has the ability to sing in the same range with his chest voice.
Glame Glumps Eb6 at least is higher than he'll ever need haha He's probs closer to a mezzo! I remember these comments well, can't believe they were 44 weeks ago... much has changed :o
0:14 I think he made a mistake in saying "we didn't come out with a real strong start" because I think they did a great job, just the judges didn't like it, they shouldn't disown their work. Afro-Blue probably lost because they started being too apologetic for not pleasing the judges and being too apologetic in their arrangements
+okonh0wp If you run a race where you cant see the other runners, no matter how good you think you are doing, if you end up in nearly last place, you suck. It doesnt matter how good you, or anybody watching you thought you did. It matters how you actually did.
He's doing beyond phenomenally well considering how new it is to him. He has come so far in such a very short time frame. Especially since he's a baritone who can do bass.
I know right? I absolutely adore Voiceplay (they're my favorite a capella group) but I wish they'd give some of the other members arrangements to really show off their massive ranges or their individual strengths.
