I love locations and Treasure Planet so I lucked out as a fan when a quite a few Treasure Planet cards sync well with locations. It's nice seeing these two ink colors do well against the meta, especially against popular color combos. Congrats Joey!
Great build! Im going with a Saphire Ruby build thats off the beaten path for the ursulas championship this sunday. I enjoy using what i have, i feel like i more fully enjoy playing the game that way!
@mystical-illumineer yes, his main priority is to use tiana to dump hand and pressure with 2 lore, prevents the opponent from singing removal spell songs or board wipes. he does have 2 AWNW as a back up.
Why not Hooks instead of Fortispheres? Protects your Smees from damage and gives you a bit more early game tempo against Red/Blue, plus trade fodder against Redfasa, Specis Amethyst/Steel, Brooms, and any Hyper Aggro. In any event: great deck! :) Thanks for showcasing it and congratz on the Ursula.
I run fortisphere because the Body guard it gives late game can be really good also if I start off getting that extra card helps. I was not on hook because John silver is a captain to allow Smee to not take damage and with how bad 1 attack cards are in this set because of brawl, sisu Medusa etc. definitely thought about it but the Robinhood is better in most senarios and 8 1 drops is the max you should run in a deck like this with limited draw.
It is really matchup dependent, if you are going up against a steel deck I would try to hold a Tiana, both robinhoods and go for the resist with John sliver + locations, if you are going up against a red player, I would go smee sisu and hopefully 2 drops on turn 4. Always try to have a 1 drop in your starting hand, preferably Robinhood if you are going agro, but just playing your curve does the job most of the time.
Yea, I ended up doing 4 Ursula tournaments and I was top seed in one with over 30 player going into top cut, and 8th seed in another one, however I lost my top 8 match in both so only the one Ursula secured. We have some great competition in Chicago 😭
