And greetings in return from deep in the Southland of, albeit just north of New Orleans, Louisiana. Cheers my brother from the great Old Country! God Bless the UK and the US! P[>
As a proud Southerner of the great state of Louisiana I gladly receive your greetings and in return wish you and yours all the best. Cheers from the Southland and may God bless Poland! P[>
best compliments from Germany, I love the South, since I was stationed as a soldier of the german airforce for special training in Texas and Mississippi. I've learned a lot of her history and was impressed by the pride of her people and the soldiers of the civil war, especially General Lee. What a Patriot, when he rejected Lincolns offer as a General of the Union, telling him he can not draw the sword against bis people. I wish I would have the chance some day to participate in such an event, if i only knew when and wehre it takes place.. Until then, i'm going to learn the best known songs from Dixie (lol)... So keep and honor your heritage, God bless you all ........
@@vegandolls Thank you for the hint. That was a good surprise, because I have seen an documentary by him on TV more than a decade ago. When I looked up the book in Amazon, I recognized his picture. He really seemes to by "THE" expert of the civil war. I will buy this book. So thanks again and have a good day.
This reenactment happens every year in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania! Gettysburg was one of the bloodiest battles of the war. This video shows the Camp Ball, but they also do battlefield reenactments. Everyone is always welcome :)
I'm surprised the roof is still attached to the tent!! This is one of the most rollicking RU-vids ever. Love these songs..especially being played on period instruments. This band has no equal. Everyone was dressed in period clothing which made it all the more special and fun.
Now I understand how those boys crossed that field. The energy this produces cannot be held back. I’m ready to go screaming into battle right now lol 😂. If it produces this much energy 155 years later just imagine the energy they felt in 63!
I've got family that were both Union and Confederates and I can say with great pride after visiting most of the states I am proud where we come from. Before the times of the civil war most of my family came from Scotland and Ireland. There is a distinct Celtic sound to this music and it really brings my spirits up!

@@mikebilli5060 Did they spring up from the grass? No. They migrated there. Did they live peacefully before Whites arrived? No, they fought each other over land. We came and we bested everyone. Sore loser that you are. You lost vs Whites and now you're crying about it. We're better, get over it.
The way things are going in this country now it’s time to head to Americana, Brazil where Confederate soldiers and families went after the war. Today they speak Portuguese but English is there also. I’ve got two members of the family from 9th Louisiana Infantry CSA that have CSA tombstones.
The South is a mind set. I am born and breed in the South, fought for this country in War. But damn I'm a Rebel born and bred. That is what is in the air here, you don't tell me what to do! That simple, no need for a college education!
Beautiful day to see our southern confederate heritage I like to think of our confederate general Robert E Lee dancing a Walt’s with his southern bell 💛🙋♀️
I would think not...they have received their eternal reward...read C. S. Lewis’s Mere Christianity ✝️ ...why would there be ongoing animosity after the fact?
@@bisleyblackhawk1288 while Christians are promised eternal life in Heaven, God also said that you cannot go to Heaven until you have let go of absolutely EVERYTHING from the mortal realm. The reason there are still spirits there is that some of the dead soldiers had something in life that they couldn't let go of, such as an unfinished business, or a painful burden of something like a betrayal. Perhaps lasing hate for their enemy. Some spirits remain in the mortal realm because they don't even realize that they are dead. Also, God mentioned purgatory for some souls.
Your American civil war for freedom is like, remeber, that of our Corsican people against the Italians and the French. Gloria for Roberto Lee and Pasquale Paoli
Pretty disrespectful thing to say considering how many men died in the civil war. Tired of hearing this line, it's just ignorant. We're more complacent as a nation than ever and no one is doing shit but talking. We're united in our complacency and addiction to technology. "But what about what I see on the news". Are you doing anything about it but seeing it on the news and bitching? No? Exactly

@@sagepage4793 Ignorant? Lol. Ok. Ireland is erupting over kids being stabbed by migrants. The Dutch farmers are in revolt because the government is taking away their land. France is on the verge of becoming an Israel/Palestine situation because of mass migration. Spain is about to erupt over a communist takeover. And here in the US Americans are being replaced so the Uniparty has perpetual power. If Europe and the US didn't have such a massive law enforcement presence there would be military conflict all over. We are completely divided and it's the stone cold truth. And it's only getting worse. Respect has nothing to do with it, but if you want to go there, disrespect is removing their memory and erasing them from history.
I love these People alive again with gourgeus dressed from the south Will rise again No doubt keep up confederate we Will never surrender always faithfull semper fi 😊 😊
Funny to see the Yankees standing around in there clapping lol. Even they prefer the southern culture 😎. Those little kids cracked me up too lol. They are as into it as the adults 👍🏼
I wouldnt say prefer as much as they were simply enjoying each others company and having a good time. Nice to see in this day and age. Southerners and "Yankees" have a lot more in common then you think. If more people just gave each other half a chance. Both sides would find that out.
these people are simply fans of history, on both sides. dont look into it that much. I think its beautiful to see in this day and age when the simple idea of history is under attack
I really like this kind of songs. In Europe it became The Dubliners and Pogues, but in the south i guess was the beginning of Country and western. But the kiddies dance at the start is just amazing! And i also love that there is yankee blue in the crowd.
@@anthonya7169 Dear Sir, i do think you do misunderstand me. What i meant whas that these songs are similar to the Irish, Scottish, Welsh and English that now counts as "Folk songs". I Europe they took a little bit of their own ways. I America they merged and got different aspects denending on which part they were.
While i dont believe in everything yhe South stood for, i will say these people are real!! Unlike most folks you meet in Boston, Chicago, New York city, etc who are plastic!!
Read more about what the south did stand for.. there were more abolition societies in the south than the north.. the south had a 15 plus day hearing to discuss abolition and integration with paying 400 each to the slaveholder.. the north did no such thing.. the north was mostly white.. and they wanted to keep it that way, the northern abolitionist didn't do so for moral highground, they wanted abolition to oust or let die the black race so they didn't have to be around them.. Jefferson Davis wrote his wife how surprised he was to hear Yankee politicians talk about black people as if they were animals.. the south believed black people were subservient but they believed they were humans that had rights( you won't here that slave had rights in the south but court cases from the confederacy and before show they did). The western territories were antislave because they didn't want ANY blacks in the territory... Northerners, southerners, and other countries and even Lincoln all agreed in the 1860s... the south seceded from the union for states rights.. and independence.. Lincoln said if the south seceeds who will pay for everything.. if it was about slavery it would have been cheaper in lives and money to pay slaveholders for each slave.. the south seceded for independence...the north in aded for money and power..
There is a reason Southerners are more real, they held on to Jesus a lot longer than the rest of this apostate nation! You better do some more research. ;) You might just end up understanding why people are so fake in those other places.
Wow wow absolutly powerfull keep this 🎶 music live and forever and these southern cavaliers like jeb Stuart they Will never be forgotten you should All have medals, the south Will rise again and long live south Carolina always faithful, from tom 🤟 🤟 🤟 not the last confederate but of many
FCB1900 Fanatics hallo Deutschland!! My 4x grandfather and family came from Bavaria in 1749. I have the document he signed when arriving in America promising to be loyal to crown and speak English. Well that didn’t last long and he was a weapons maker in the revolution. Anyhow I’ve always wanted to visit Bavaria and see where my ancestors came from. Cheers to you sir!
@@JohnnyRebKy Yep, a lot of German immigrants in the 18th/ 19th century were farmers and craftsmen. Even the King Georges I./ II./III. were of German origin (House of Hannover). If you like to come over to the home of your ancestors in Bavaria , don´t hesitate ! Greets from Germany (the northern part) !
