Sri Lanka and New Zealand faced each other at the Galle International Stadium for the 2nd Test match. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Day 1 ended with Sri Lanka scoring 306 runs but lost 3 wickets in the process. Dinesh Chandimal was the top scorer with a brilliant 116-run knock.

Koibnahi kabhi kabhi ho jaata hain abhi sl india ko 2 match England ko 1 match aur nz ko 1 match hara di hain acchi baat hain but abhi kismat bhi unki acchi hain after a long time I am happy with sl keep it up on the other hand don't worry about nz just bad patch comes for nz after t20 wc believe them they are class side they definitely come back stronger

I watched today's full day of play and was very disappointed with New Zealand's fielding. I have never seen such indiscipline in the field by the Kiwis as far as I know. Daryl Mitchell can retire from cricket. He is completely out of shape. On the other hand, Sri Lanka's batters played really well.

Well that is one of those days that demonstrates why Kiwis don't get out to support their team at home. Poor bowling, poor in the field - Sunday league teams would have taken some of those spilled catches, and seriously poor decisions from the Captain.
