Sorry…this is JUST my HUMBLE OPINION … I have raised 2 wonderful men … but I believe every case is DIFFERENT when you are all commenting that the parents should be held accountable … I know parents who had 3 and 4 kids when mine were growing up ..and in several cases they had 3 kids that were treasures and one became a rebel… they were wonderful parents .. Kids TODAY are growing up in WEIRD TIMES …I honestly don’t know how my boys OR “I “ would be able to PROCESS what a kid has to deal with in WHAT is being thrown at them today .. How can they form an IDENTITY when there is so much confusion as to how to even define a woman for heavens sake
@@bobbipearcey2059 Talking with very open ears and kind heart with your children. Asking them questions to get their ideas and opinions in an environment where they feel safe and know their words will be heard. Ask them about what is going on. You might be very surprised at what you learn.
The children in schools haven’t been “taught” to interact with each other as human beings - there is no value for life & the anger in our country is angry !!! USE YOUR WORDS- they don’t know how!
I know that no one wants to hear it, but schools are absolutely horrible, filled with bullies & injustices. Some kids just can’t handle it. Our school system needs to be overhauled.
They are charging the dad for killing ppl. Wonder if the migrant minor that shot a tourist in NYC parents are in prison as well. Just asking for a friend ? 😅
When my son was in elementary school, he protected a kid from being bullied. Guess who got in trouble, my son. We had to see the principle with our son. Not the kids or parents who bullied the kid. My son is a big boy & he probably made the bullies back off the hard way....
Parents need to talk instead of texting their kids. Family time needs to come back. I see it with some of my own grandchildren who are glued to devices and their parents as well.
I have no idea what your schools are doing but ours are not teaching hate or gender confusion. We actually have 30 minutes everyday where we try to teach the kids how to communicate properly. These kids come to school acting like feral animals.
My 28 year old they were teaching hate and confusion and she graduated 13 years ago. The bully in her kindergarten class was given medals for his behavior. He was awarded after he had given numerous conclusions to his kindergarten class mates. Public education has failed for years and years

My daughter wanted to go back to school this year and I’m a nervous wreck. There has already been a threat (gun) and the school was locked down with extra police presence.
schools should eliminate the use of backbacks entering school period. My generation and prior never carried backpacks to school. Backpacks are not necessary.
Exactly, we carried our books, put them in our locker. Only used the ones in the morning for morning classes. Than after lunchtime get afternoon books.
I left my books in my locker and only brought home one or two ...many moons ago...back when they had lords prayer in school and national anthem..what judge allowed them to be taken out?
People are already getting beat up, raped, stabbed, shot, and set on fire in schools. How much worse does it have to get before we as a nation say no more? If we can shut down schools over a virus that barely affected children, surely we can all get together and boycott the schools. The law says they have to be able to provide a safe environment. If they can't, then we shouldn't let them compel us to turn over our children.
Society has gone so far downhill it's crazy. I agree go back to the old days of kickin a** taking names. Prayers for all involved in the whole situation so very sad.
Kids need the phones these days for situations like this to call for help. Armed guards at the door and metal detectors in every entrance like they have in Gov buildings!!
Metal detectors for schools are totally NOT realistic. Just think about it. Every student would basically need to strip down to nothing in order to pass through. No watches, no belts... AND the whole screening process would take FOREVER for all those students, taking away from learning time and extending the school day. PLEASE STOP with the metal detector will fix this mentality......
These schools definitely need more ways to protect these kids. I graduated in 2001 and the school I went to had metal detectors and cameras in the hallways.
Our schools don't have metal detectors but they are on lock down as soon as the school day starts. But unfortunately my sons middle school had a threat from a student on social media. But the school acted right away got the police involved and took the student into custody . Then determined it wasn't a credible threat but kept extra security and.police officers in the school all day.
Kids nowadays don’t understand the harm they can do! 3 of my 4 were in Karate. They learned respect and how to protect themselves. And they were supervised by parents. They were taught right from wrong and still went to church. Out of 10 grandchildren, only 4 more to finish school. I know my kids watched their kids the way I watched them. And all guns are locked and all are taught to respect any weapon whether guns, knives, karate weapons, etc.
Also no longer permitted to make the games, movies etc. we need to sue the entertainment industry along with the teachers unions for the propaganda they’ve spread and the government for its propaganda against the students introducing things to the students prematurely causing psychological abuse. They are responsible.
I remember when tv shows were the Gilmore girls, Dawson creek, and the golden girls. Times were so peaceful back then. No cursing, no violence, and people were so nice. I agree, movies and music definitely is a factor
I completely agree. Kids used to fistfight when they were angry. We were always physically active. Now kids sit and stew all day. We need more exercise and stronger morals. ❤
Social media & crappy parenting are to blame. Mainly, the crappy parenting. Because if they would actual participate in their children's lives and teach them right from wrong, how to socialize, and moderate their social media use, then this crap wouldn't happen.
I miss the days when if kids had an issue with one-another, everyone just met up at the dirt lot after school to settle their differences with no weapons involved (& half the time the guys ended up becoming friends once whatever issue was settled). Growing up, everyone had guns, but everyone also had enough sense not to use them to settle a squabble. We don't have a gun problem, we have a problem with no one respecting human life any longer.
😢😢😢😢 this is heart breaking , mental health and anti bullying needs to be a class kids take in school ..I n Grand Island Ny we had a 4 th grader who took her life because of being bullied . Classes need to be part of the curriculum for kids to know how to handle life stresses and if classes were available like this maybe any red flags would be brought to light . I’m sad for our kids today , I have a teen who just started high school this year like you Michelle and the worry is real 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😢😢😢

Didn’t Colt JUST get transferred to that school tho? He wasn’t there long before he took part in this so I don’t think it was this school he was bullied at. Or maybe he wanted to stop it before it started….either way….something fishy with this one….
Something happened in Florida today as well!! Sheriff Grady Judd had a news conference about it! They picked this student up at George Jenkins High School!!
Parents can keep their guns locked up but also they need to teach their kids how to use guns properly. And also parents should be able to tell if there is something wrong with their kids. Do they act normal or talk normal. Are they interacting with their kids. Are their parents on drugs or alcohol to where they don’t interact with their kids. There are different reasons.
My guess is this is not the first time these 2 kids have had an altercation before, normally it would be a bullying from the older one towards the younger kid, with the younger one killing the bully, but that does not seem the case here - it was personal.
This is horrible. My brother was killed by his friend with a gun. I am PRO gun. Where we live in central texas the schools have Guardians. Armed teachers and staff who will keep the peace. Why don’t they have this everywhere??

I’m in FL… in 1 day; 1 student was stabbed 11 times, another was sodomized, and another was stabbed 4 times. All bully situations, all different high schools (same county) thankfully, no death but it’s still ridiculously tragic😢 I’m thankful my kids all just graduated. It’s so bad!
Colt's dad gave him the rifle for Christmas last year knowing he had already been making threats to shoot up the school. So, the parent is to blame for that school shooting.
