Nice job on the fix. I myself purchased the wrong size also. I think my fix may be to extend the rails and bring the bed rack closer to the tail gate end of the bed, so it doesn't look so short on the bed. But you know how that goes all looks good on paper till you get into it. Thanks for making the video and ideas on a fix.
Nice work. Just a small tip... I like to mark the bolts that connect into the bed channel. Its not unusual that they become loose with all of the vibration it will see. It's an easy indicator to notice they are loose when the marks don't line up. I have had bay area metal fab, RCI, Victory offroad all come a bit loose over time.
Looks good! I just installed the Hooke Road 18" on my Tacoma. Funny, I had the same issue, 2 bends on one of the legs. The bends are identical to yours. I reached out to Hooke Road through Amazon, and Hooke Road gave me a $50 refund, and they said they will send me some replacement screws. Some of them were damaged.
I unfortunately did not reach out to hook road. I just thought I would put out a video and show some of the things that people may encounter. I'm glad I'm not the only one I did tag them in my video and hopes that they would reach out to me so far. No luck
