For Go Away, Dara, Bom & Minzy are CL’s guardian angels. Through out the video you see them around CL but she doesn’t really interact with them. At the end CL dies in the crash as well and you see her finally interacting with them as they picked her up to go to the beyond.
2NE1 were the original bad-ass rebels/female empowerment champions. Often controversial, they tackled hard topics that no one else (at least girl groups) dared to like in Go Away which was revolutionary (plus a massive hit). Plus they were fashion icons- trendsetters- everyone wanted to wear what 2NE1 was wearing. I’m feeling all nostalgic now….

I'm always so happy when people praise Minzy's voice. She was always labeled as "the dancer" but let's be honest, she was the best singer in 2NE1 (even though Bom and CL are also incredible). She is so incredibly talented, it's a shame she doesn't get the recognition she deserves

About IT HURTS was released on Halloween.. this is the first kpop mv with a costume theme released in Halloween, in this mv story they were witches and they cast a spell to get Dara's boyfriend back but that spell lasted as much as the candle so he disappeared and Dara is sad for that.... IT HURTS has a special place in my heart cus this song along with MISSING YOU were the songs that dragged me into 2NE1 hole😭❤️... I agree DON'T STOP THE MUSIC is a bop👍💯

Originally she didn’t win her race because he was gonna hit her so she hesitated about it, cause it was him. Then in the last race she does hit him and they both crash and the cars catch fire. It’s kinda her realising she should be strong enough to move past him, and it’s kinda like her old self is dying and she’s coming out of the wreck of that relationship a new woman.
DARA is the VISUAL of the group. The only VISUAL that is sooo BOLD to wear unusual hairstyles. Hairstyles that gg visuals won't usually wear. 🤭🤭🤭 Even if they try to make her ugly, she still looks beautiful.

This MV’s made them called the QUEENS OF KPOP. (Aside from their debut song and IAMTB). 2NE1 always try something new. And them trying ballad is a risk because they started with badass and strong concept, fortunately it was love by everyone. Definitely 2NE1 is not a typical girl group.
My interpretation of the Go Away music video is that the other three members were ghosts (i.e., they're dead), which is why they always wear the same black outfits, then in the end, CL also died.
Yes to live performances!!!! I recommend "if I were you" especially on Yoo Hee-yeol Sketchbook and any live performances but I recommend their upbeat songs because they are just so much fun.

As the old hag that I am, they're the group that brought me to kpop, I remember specifically how I got pulled by how much they reminded me of the Spice Girls, in terms of their general fun, careless vibe. I hope you can react one day to their live performances ,that's when 2NE1 shines the most imo. Especially their concerts, they're unlike any other girl group's in kpop.
The guy in the Go Away video is named Song Jaerim and he has gotten cuter since he has gained weight and muscle. This was probably one of his first big gigs as a actor.

2NE1 MV was full of emotions, their faces on cam was so perfect for what the song about... . . . Go Away the MV Dara, Minzy, Bom was also a victim of toxic relationship (They were like spirits like the three spirits in "Sleeping Beauty" CL as Aurora) as we can see theyre guiding CL to move on but CL keep coming back on the guy. And at the end CL destroyed herself for wanting more/revenge.After the car crash it seems the 3 said to CL that "You did what you think is best for yourself"
MINZY (The one with short hair) is an awesome technical vocalist however she is frustratingly underrated as 2ne1's lead vocalist as her tone is overshadowed by that of Bom and CL.
Only overshadowed because people heavily degraded her to uplift their biases..even in the most unnecessary moments. The way most treated her was almost as if..baseline entry...like to enjoy anything about this group..this is how you treat everyone..and she was chosen to be treated as if she didn't exist and when she did it was to create a plot of her being jealous due to her inferiority..and in that case...treated like shit..and belittled in every way..
I wouldn't say she's overshadowed though. I love how all the girl's vocals mesh together. You either love them all or not at all imho and I'm hoping the whole bullshit she made them disband etc fades into the background like it should have months after being made smh.

Minzy does have a few singles , not as many as CL but on a par with Bom in terms of numbers of releases. She had to wait to leave YG Entertainment before she could release any (main reason for her leaving the group early was because YG reneged on an agreement with Minzy to release a single). I would really really recommend 2NE1 Live performances- They were on another level, no lie.

CL the Race Driver dies in the crash at the end of "Go Away". The other members Park Bom, Dara, and Minzy are her guardian angels and are always by her side to protect her. CL does not see them since the three 2NE1 members are in the spirit world, but there are two occasions when they reached across to the living world to help CL. The first was when Minzy held the umbrella in the rain for CL when her car broke down in the rain. The second was when all three guardian angels helped CL get up after her beating and Dara kicks the ex-boyfriend's jacket away. At exactly 5:11 of the music video, you will see a split second image of CL, Park Bom, Dara, and Minzy on the race track as the race cars are zooming by them at 200 mph. This is a forewarning to the m/v viewers that CL will not survive the crash and will finally meet up with her three guardian angels in the spirit world, which she did at the very last scene as they all walked away together.
Minzy is the vocalist you noticed! she's actually a very impressive vocalist (and performer as well) but 2ne1 title tracks never showcased her full skills, especially since she debuted very young at the age of 14 so her skills hadn't reached their peak yet, a lot of people even agreed that she was one 2ne1 best vocalist along with bom towards the end of their carreer. And yes she does have solo songs, she's an amazing dancer too so her songs are dance focus but still with amazing vocals, I recommend Te Amo and Superwoman I also recommend their If I Were you live performance
CL is the one who drove that crashed car. The 3 girls are ghosts (Dara, Bom, Minzy) thats why if you notice when the 3 girls (individually) accompany CL scene, CL dont have any attentions to them/didnt notice them

Even in 2021 there still isn't another female group like 2ne1..Even tho new groups like itzy and bp are kinda bad-ass they don't have that "can kick your ass" vibe 2ne1 had. I mean they performed on stage with those baggy joggers, heavy dark make-up and spiky leather outfits...They were indeed pretty(even tho ppl called them ugly bcuz they jelly) but weren't really trying to show it off..Ahh I miss them..They were so ahead of their time

all the kpop videos back then were weird tbh lol and thats why kpop 2nd gen was so great just absolute no filter and not as much of a strong western influence as it has now. for the slow ballad 'It Hurts', that's dara who is acting and minzy (short hair) is an all rounder like CL too so she raps, sings and main dancer. for the no captions, tbh all yg videos do that on purpose except for the newer groups vids. the company and i know the groups (bigbang and 2ne1) felt like they were a korean group and didnt want to push english captions on their videos to keep some authenticity i guess. GD basically says if you want to know what theyre saying, learn the language lol

Minzy is one of the best dancers of all time in Kpop and she can be the main vocal for ANY group. Sandara is known as one of the most beautiful women to ever debut and she has a voice NO ONE can replicate. Bom is one of the greatest vocal legends in Kpop, EVER. CL is the OG queen of rap but can also sing like a QUEEN. A group like this is very hard to come by, where all 4 memebers have not only set standards but also changed the music industry. 2NE1 is the blueprint for hardcore/girl-crush concepts in Kpop. They did what no one at that time was doing and changed the way girl groups decided their concepts. Till this date, there are many who do this concept extremely well, but no on can or will ever match or replace 2NE1. Back when they debuted, they weren't compared to other girl groups but instead, were known for giving boy groups a run for their money. I genuienly think you should explore more and more.
I dont know this group much, I know Bom from watching the show Roommates and thinks she’s so cute, but that’s about it. So I haven’t seen any of these MVs I got a nice surprise in It Hurts when Lee Soo Hyuk suddenly showed up. He’s so beautiful.
