"UGLY" the song was created because 2NE1 was called "THE UGLY GROUP" by so many people when they debuted. It is because 2NE1 was "DIFFERENT" from any other girl groups back then. They were the first and successful to changed the image of a girl group in South Korea. 2NE1 tackles music such as reggae, ballad, pop, etc . . . Thank you guys for reacting to them. Ooooooh! The way 2NE1 disbanded was a BIG MESS and very depressing to know. P.S They themselves didn't know that they were disbanding.

2ne1 the legendary Queens,,the first Korean girl group to hold world concert tour , their live performances is always on fire,the swag,the charisma,the stage presence and the fashion is on fire 🔥 no one can match them.

It’s so funny that y’all reacted to the Japanese version of Ugly. Also although we all know they are beautiful, back then there were considered to a ugly girl group similar to how mamamoo was considered not pretty enough to be successful in Kpop as well and now these groups are iconic because of their stage presence, concepts and talents.

2ne1 disbandment shocked everyone, and I believe most fans agree that YG did them dirty. Even for CL who renewed her contract after the disbandment, she was left hanging with uncertainties, to the point she left a comment in YG instagram asking about when will her next work be out (because she is CL, she even leaked “all in”, an mv they had worked on but was never released). It was a frustating time for her, especially knowing how much she loves creating and performing. So I’m glad they all had left YG and is venturing out eventhough it’s kinda harder without the big company backing. Also, I would love for you guys to have a CL special reacting to her EP “in the name of love”, all 6 songs in that album has mv, and that was how she truly felt at that time, this EP was released only 2 weeks after she (finally can) left YG. she expressed herself through her music. I believe all mvs has english subtitle (“QUIT” even has subtitles in 16 languages, she makes sure her point is delivered).

CL is the leader and it was actually CL in that bathtub scene, the naked one, she was also the one who sang at 20:57. CL is the one who wrote CRUSH and IF I WERE YOU, she also participated in composing both songs

Updates on what the other members are doing now: Park bom is currently the sole artist under the label D-Nation. She recently released her newest single "Do Re Mi Fa Sol" in March. She also has a song with Wheein called 4:44, and I really like her song "spring". She was also on Queendom which was popular while it was airing. Also Park Bom had a solo under 2NE1 called "you and I" which was immensely popular. Gong Minzy parted YG and joined the label Musicworks. Her first solo release was called ninano. She recently left musicworks and set up her own label. She also has a dance studio. Her most recent release is called "lovely". Sandara Park was the last one to leave YG after 17 years (she left this year). She has been primarily working on TV.

Honestly no girl group can match 2ne1 stage presence. I'm not even a blackjack but I LOVE watching them live. They are just different and they have so much confidence. I'm late by a whole year but I saw them live front row in 2014 and it was insane!! Their energy on stage is crazy and they're very interactive with fans, you can really feel their energy almost 10 years later I still remember the concert vividly

Dara grew up in the Philippines. She became a fan favorite on a reality teen talent show because she was cute, awkward and quirky. She became a Movie and TV star in the Philippines before she went back to Korea to train with YG.

The one on the bathtub was CL, not Dara and yes, it was a huge deal back then. Everyone talked about her nude scene. Also they do have positions: CL - Leader, Main Rapper, Lead Dancer & Lead Vocalist. Dara - Visual, Vocalist & Sub Rapper. Bom - Main Vocalist & Oldest. Minzy - Main Dancer, Lead Rapper, Lad Vocalist & Maknae. Btw, CL actually wrote & produced If I Were You, thats also why she gets pretty emotional everytime she sings it. I was lucky enough to be able to go to both 2ne1 and bigbang concerts! What I can say is they belong to the stage. They’re the happiest performing, and the energy is insane!

They were the first kpop girl group that became known worldwide. They really paved the way for other kpop groups after them. They're not the typical kpop girl group that do cutesy dance. They all can sing any genre individually. Their performance level and stage presence is what made them win peoples hearts. Their charisma on stage is undeniable. Especially when they all sing together and you combine their vocals. Not alot of kpop groups (especially at that time) have strong and powerful vocals individually. They were unique, refreshing and most importantly so talented. They became kpop's standard after their group disbanded.

My favorite 2nd Gen Girl Group!!!! Thanks!!! The best concert happened in Japan!!!! I even bought their DVD's for this!!! I would like to recommend their missing you concert version in Japan.

The Band Six was put together because of G-Dragon, he wanted Bigbang to have a live band with them on tours so he was the one who gathered the guys of The Band Six. They started touring together in 2012 and have been with Bigbang ever since and with other YG artists whenever Bigbang was/is on hiatus. You guys should definitely check out (if you haven't already) YG Family conserts, they are epic (back when YG still was a family), I believe the 2014 one is on RU-vid.

Dara is.still active in korea .. she has 4 regular tv shows plus guestings all over korea ..damn shes not that busy kekeke

Take it from a 2ne1 fan! Nobody does it like the way they do! I may sound bias but 2ne1 has and forever will pave the way for these new 3rd generation Kpop groups because back in the day it wasn’t about the views it was about the music and art!! My favorite MV for 2NE1 is "It Hurts". It was released around Halloween 2010. I loved the Halloween theme with a beautiful ballad song.

Till this day, I haven't liked any other girl group, even though most girl groups are doing the same concept now. When I started looking at Kpop years ago, all I saw from girl groups was their butts (if you know what I mean, then you know what I mean). When I saw and heard 2ne1, they were unlike any other girls. They were feisty and "untouchable" and "in-your-face".

In this show, they didnt have in-ears I guess bec this studio was kinda small for a tv show so the reverb or echo weren’t that loud and they’re professionals in performing live so they got it

Nah they deffo had proper positions google will usually classify members as rappers or vocalists with hardly ever attaching main or lead to it. Minzy was the main dancer and lead vocalist, Park bom was the main vocalist, CL was the leader, main rapper and lead dancer and Sandara (Dara for short) was the visual and a vocalist.

They were so good live! I watch their World Tour when they stopped by in our country. They really hype up the crowd well which YG groups really are known of.

That is why Bigbang & 2NE1 r known not just as Legendary Kings & Queens of kpop but also Kings & Queens of Live coz they're sound much better on live. Also 2ne1 & Bigbang doesn't GO with the trends but rather SET the trends. The Band Six are really close with Bigbang & 2ne1.
