One thing bout Pac was he loved to go with the underdogs and underground people nobody really knew. He kept it real simple and put people on who was around him.
"Heaven Aint Hard 2 Find" with 2Pac & Danny Boy shouldve been a single. I still think thats one of the more underrated songs in 2Pac's catalogue. If they wanted to, Death Row couldve easily released another 4-5 singles off All Eyez On Me.
Danny Boy & Jewell made Death Row songs memorable and classic, they gave songs soul with sunday small church gospel. They could SANG!!! RIP Ms.Jewell "First Lady of Death Row Records"
Heaven ain’t hard 2 find literally the last song on the All eyes on me album is my favorite Danny Boy/ Tupac song ever definitely one of the most underrated songs on that album 👍🏽
He got money but he wanted his dream.. People with talent want to expose it to the world, not simply be paid off for existing. People with ambition understand his regrets 😢
$2500 a month + a home, a car, all your bills paid, studio time and extra cash is pretty good seeing as he didn’t have an album out. Would he have made as much from his publishing?, i doubt it
@@FRANKIBABI__ yes he is burning in hell, because he rejected the lord saving him. he chose the devil's way over and over, his exact words were: im still having too much fun out here!!! imagine being shot, multiple times, Jesus Christ saves you MULTIPLE TIMES nad you still continue with your stupid ways.... yea then Jesus aint savin you no mo. you're gonna burn inhell, which is exactly where he is right now. sad though.
@@FRANKIBABI__ i never cared for pac to be honest. dude lived in ny for 16 years, ran to LA and now is westside? yea ok my guy. and on top of that, you re not from the west coast but you re gonna interfere in gang shit? my guy, YOU RE NOT FROM THERE, THESE PEOPLE DONT CARE ABOUT YOU. lol but, the worst thing about his situation is, that GOD HIMSELF SAVED PAC SO MANY TIMES FROM DYING, and all god wanted in return is for pac to preach the gospel....... and pac refused.... wow dude. wow. pac is a complete moron. fuck this guy. i dont want anyone in hell including pac, but if you had multiple occasions to switch up your mentality and the way you live, and you refuse simply because you think you';re invincible, then even God will turn his back on you. and you will die. point to note, live for god. dont live for anything else. you will go to hell . worship god and praise Jesus.
What Suge is explaining what he did for Danny boy right there, should be enough for Danny boy to realize, nobody done shit close to that since . There was even an interview where he said he ran up thousands and thousands of dollar on Suge Knight credit card, I mean seriously Danny boy is ungrateful, and why he never will be successful.
Suge took care of Danny boy I don’t understand why he’s backstabbing him now the fact that Danny boy said there’s a few years ago on our dialogue video and now changing it up is crazy
He only says what becomes convenient to him. My guess is he’s seen how exposing Puffy has successfully turned out so he wants to do that to Suge (since Pac’s dad can’t lmao).
I don’t know of any record labels that were given their artist the perks that Suge gave his artist without putting out an album. We know Puffy didn’t do that for none of his artist at Bad Boy. It seems to me Suge spoiled Danny Boy.
Sill boy those arent "perks" those are LOANS on your record sales. EVERYTHING a record company spends on you has to be REPAYED..they are the pimps artists are the hos
“ Damn you’ve been away from the hood too long, a lot of things have changed since you’ve been gone, the homies wanna know where you are” classic Danny Boy Hook 👌🏼
It's crazy that I'm 44 and I hear this story everyday from someone. I'll never forget I worked for a contractor that didn't even pay me, kept stringing me along when I was young, guess what now I got my own thing and I love this life, because I GOT OVER IT, life isn't fair, but you can always turn a lemon into a pear
My group Panicroom did a track with DB, he murked it as always, I'm a huge Pac fan and a lot of my favorite joints has DB on them they were named in this interview, salute!
Danny Boy if you ever read this just know that "slip & slide will always be my song. Come when I call will always be my song. Yes you did a lot of Tupac features but you held your own. And there were fans of yours waiting on that album.
I actually get mad when I see how they be treating Danny Boy like he wasn't a huge part of Death Row because he little young a** was killing the vocals on all those songs back in the day and not only that but he really was a big part of Death Row history and all the stories and special moments that went down. They need to give this man his flowers and stop playing with him cause he was definitely around all those legends soaking in all the greatness.
Imagine that no other record company would do that but yet this nigah sitting here talking like that’s nothing like he did nothing for em like these ppl is ungrateful ask any other person in the industry do they get that frm they record label
you uneducated people throw the word grateful around as if record companies GIVE people 5hit..this is the record BUSINESS not the record "CHARITY"..Danny Boy was "given"anything...ANYTHING Suge gave ANYBODY was a LOAN that has to be REPAID..30 years later and into the information age you dummies STILL dont know how the record business works...lol
Danny Boy sang like an angel on, Heaven ain't hard to find. I still listen to that song to this day just to hear his vocals. He means a lot to so many of us!
It sounds like Suge looked out for Danny Boy who was just a 16 year old kid at the time. Notice he hasn’t gotten any major recognition from any other labels since his death row days. You should never bite the hand that fed you when no one did
Weak point. No one would touch the ultra-talented deathrow artists when they left because they didn’t want suge’s wrath, so ultimately they have no catalog or legacy, eg. Lady of Rage, Jewell, etc
@@ethanwasheretoo When your in a contract with a label obviously they cant just leave. Pac getting killed destroyed everyone's mommentum along with the label. The industry was focused on taking Suge down and they did. He was no longer in a position to help his artists
*Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits, such as regularly setting aside money for sound investment$..*
This is like when The Game said Kanye West done more for him than 50 Cent. End of the day it was Danny Boy job as an artist to create music good enough for the label to release. He should have taken advantage of the energy around Toss It Up. Build on that momentum. You have to remember not many artists have a great work ethic that produces consistent quality. So they end up blaming the label or label owner.
But I've heard a few people say that any song that was hot was basically taken from the producer or artist and given to Pac. Suge wanted to ride the Pac wave as long as possible. Suge wasn't really pushing anything but Pac at the time.
What are you talking about?! Record companies are in charge of when you release an album and when to book studio time and assign a producers, marketing etc to you. Artits have ZERO CONTROL over that..Danny Boy was getting released whenever Death Row decides to release him...which would be NEVER if they decided
Niggas is wild, I got $2500/mo, you got a paid for car, living in a penthouse, all bills paid, they was doing better than most artist. In the 90’s $2500 was like $5k+ today, that was just to blow money. A lot of people after paying they bills don’t have $2500 to blow money and they place and car not is nice yours. Suge really was doing a lot. Danny Boy you was getting $2500, I’m sure Pac and Snoop was getting more. Keep in mind Danny boy never put out a album. If he was on other labels, he might’ve been far worse off
Sounds like he had it made, if he was signed to an Indy label u don’t get anything… besides freedom of creativity. When ur signed to a Big label, u just get an advanced till ur album is released if ever. Any studio time or good producer are expensive and so u got a small window to get things done. Plus any marketing or videos they make is put on ur budget, and u will have to pay it back to the label. So u have to sell an insane amount of albums just for a small profit. Most Artist just make money off touring… but u gotta continue the cycle of getting in the studio and recording some singles in order to have something New to perform and stay relevant. It’s horrible buisness to be a part of and easily to be washed up and in huge debt. I can’t imagine if u signed a horrible Contract?
Toss it up was on makaveli I loved that damn song 🎧 and Danny boy should have been more promoted and should have been on way more track and features homie sing and kill them hooks
Dani is entitled I’m sorry; from all accounts over the years including his own he lived like a king and didn’t put out not one album nor was he made to pay any monies back.
*So Suge didnt lie?* On an average, he gave you all 5k a month. This may be that Rick James effect. He say , “NAW, I got 2500 a month but after it all added up with extra cash, it was and EXTRA 10k a month”. In my head, that’s 12k a month. So he did give them all an average of 5k a month.
Suge might be generous up front and his artists are happy but he screws over all of this artists. I seen RU-vid interviews where those cars that Suge gave to Snoop was under Suge’s name or even apartments under Suge or Death Row’s name. But I wouldn’t be surprised that Tupac’s cars or home under Suge’s name. If anyone tried to leave he would take back the cars and homes.
He got a good place to live rent free, car to drive and an allowance every month amongst more than likely other person without putting out an album... That's decent, considering his age at the time
For him to say that Tupac did more for him when Suge took care of that man (then, young man) for YEARS with no financial responsibilities is insane! Yes, Pac gave him the look, but he wasn't recouping financially from that song to say that nonsense. Smh Knockitoff, sir.
@@HuChing-ob4kkAdurrrr🥴🥴🥴🥴 That is how it is at the STRUCTURED labels that's been around forever, but the things Suge was doing THE OTHER WHITE LABELS WERE NOT, sir! You've never heard of Arista, RCA, MCA, etc ALL of those established labels never did all of that that Suge was doing for his artists. 50 did above & beyond for his artists on G-Unit, too! Did Suge recoup all that he spent on them from ANY of those artists, outside of Dre's Chronic, Snoop, Pac and MAYBE The Dogg Pound's first release? Hellllll naw he didn't, bruh. Cut the games.
@@Cmonnsonn You dont know what you are talking about..Suge and Death Row was doing WORSE than th eothe rlabels because he was "selling dreams" and fantasies by making the artists think he was "doing somnething" fo rthem... When iN REALITy he was just sinking them DEEPER into "recoupment hell" they would NEVER get out of..and STILL havent... Living in a record companies house, driving their cars, getting a monthly "allowance" has to ALL BE PAID BACK you dummy!! Even if those artists wouldve went quadruple platinum he would shown them an expense sheet where they OWED him... This is NO different than a PIMP on th e street buying his hos cars, jewlery and clothes...go to business school or something and stop with the fairytale beliefs
Yes Danny! You will always be known for the song and video that you did with Tupac! I’ll always remember meeting you at the studio in the late 90s on the west side of the Chi on 1st Ave. I was there to record singing some of my music. I also know you had at least 4 albums worth of songs that Suge never put out. That’s seriously depressing to a music artist. Wishing you the best and be blessed. Peace. ✌🏾🥰💯✨🎶
Dre, Snoop, Tupac estate, and Daz are the only ones that still have money left from the Death Row days. Even Suge went broke. What does Danny Boyle think he should've earned for his vocals? I think Suge took pretty good care of him. I wish Danny Boy Lück but he can't talk down on Suge so much. Hes almost AS bad AS the free loader Mob James.
People listen to Suge but Pac was the biggest rapper in the world at time of his death and he had $1700 in his bank account. Like Biggie, he knew he wasn’t seeing the money being brought in and had plans on creating his own label. When PAC asked about his money, he receive a new gift (like a car). That’s pump shit. My guy Pac wasn’t strong enough but no artist was in 1996 to create the shit he rapped about. I do believe if alive he’d have his own label, working with Denzel & other greats but made up with Biggie but also restarting Black Panthers and giving Blacks Power. He was so beyond his time and so say he left us that way.
